Communication problem over the phone. Specifically asked how much a side of corn was and was told $3.00. When we got home with the order , we were charged $13.50 for a side. When I called back they were closed. So I called the next day and explained the situation. I was told the person on the phone made the mix up and when she checked with the chef it was actually more. At that point a call back should have been made on their part. Never would I pay $13.50 for a side. She said sorry it was the girl who answered the phone, she didn’t know what she was doing. She said she will refund me and I will be holding them to that. Incompetence on their end shouldn’t cost me money. That’s just bad service!!

Love the food here which is very fresh. We go here usually twice a month to pick up. The owners are a lovely couple (I assume they are the owners).

What an incredible place for Chinese food in Wallingford. Don't expect to order online, you have to do it the old school way by calling ahead or ordering in person. The lack of ordering convenience is made up by the quality of food the restaurant offers. The lady in front was very nice and provided exceptional customer service. After ordering, my food came out hot and ready in less than 10 minutes. For only around 8 dollars I had a delicious sesame chicken lunch special with a can of sprite. The portions were fair and plentiful for the money I paid. I finished it all and returned to work happy, satisfied, and full. I would happily return the next time im craving Chinese in Wallingford.

The woman that took my order was very friendly and nice. I got my lunch to eat there as I was working on the road. They had 2 tables, one that seats 6 and one that seats 4. No issues, it was described as having tables and I got one. I went on a hot day. The temperature inside was brutal. It was so hot they probably needed a sauna license. It wouldn't have bothered me so much but I ordered a simple lunch special. A pork roll (egg roll), pork fried rice, and shrimp with lobster sauce. It took over 20 minutes to get just the egg roll. No plate or anything, just a paper sleeve. Unlike Massachusetts and a lot of RI and NH they use packets for duck sauce. Typically found down south. Not the apple or apricot based sauce that the rest of New England loves. After a half hour the food came. I considered asking for ice to pack my groin and armpits to avoid heat stroke. New England going back to the Polynesian influence and the access to ingredients like molasses have always made their rice brown. The rice here was yellow and didn't contain much flavor. The shrimp with lobster sauce was a white sauce made with egg whites. The shrimp were cooked right and the sauce wasn't horrible. However, traditional New England Chinese lobster sauce is usually brown made with either oyster sauce or black bean paste and contains minced meat, usually pork. Also originated in the Boston area restaurants as one of the ways they prepared Chinese lobster. The only difference was there was a little more ginger in the original sauce. If you are from MA you will be extremely disappointed. I also have to note that 30 minutes to get lunch in a sauna is unacceptable.

Excellent meal and service! I especially love that they give the crispy crunchy noodles with duck sauce as a free welcome appetizer! 20 years ago those were standard with all Chinese to go orders, but that seems to have been phased out of most places, so it was such a welcome surprise! The crab rangoons are stuffed to the brim and are incredible! A must get. We will definitely be back.

Our first visit to this recently re-done and newly managed restaurant. We were impressed with both the food and the ambiance. Everything was delicious

Definitely the best bagels in the area! :) I have driven by so many times and not stopped. We finally did and we are so glad we did! Cash only. ATM inside. Closed on Mondays. You order at the case and then line up to pay. Plenty of parking and at a light so easy to make a left onto Whitney. :) A nice assortment of bagels- some cool ones: egg, spinach. We tried the Everything with scallion toasted. It was excellent. The bagel had large salt crystals and definitely enhanced the flavor. At first glance, bagel may appear smaller than others but these are quite tall. And definitely very filling. We have also tried the onion with veggie- very good. Service is excellent: everyone is polite and friendly. The teenagers working the counter are courteous and efficient: very refreshing. The owner is very pleasant. We have enjoyed our bagels very much! And will be back to try some of the sandwiches. :) Highly recommend!

I love this place. Even after living in Manhattan for the last 15+ years. These are the best bagels and sandwiches I’ve ever had. Anytime I’m back home or near by I stop by to get some and take some home. You must try.

9/25- I stopped for lunch and while the food is pretty and well stocked I found many of the items were cold. I don’t know if the burner was off that day. I mentioned it but I don’t think they understood. They had a few soups. The chowder looked older than the Won Ton or Hot and Sour. Lots of healthy choices in the salad area and a few premade salads. They have toppings and dressings to go along with the salad. If you like fruits there are lots of choices as well. Fresh pineapple, watermelon and others. If you like dessert they have some sweet options including a good selection of ice cream and cakes.

5 stars on all 5 possible! This is the one best of the best choice on all connecticut chinise buffets. Food always prepared fresh , hot and tasty. They just keeping exchange from almost empty trays to new and freshly made it. The staff hard working and friendly always smiling making sure that no one left behind the satisfaction and fulfillment. Overall the family atmosphere that makes You always comeback to the Pacifica Buffet and grill.

I absolutely love this place! My friend recommended it to me And while it's quite a drive from where I live, it was 100% worth it! We went for the all you can eat hot pot for around $27 per person. You get 2 hours and your choice of whatever you want on the menu plus the broth of your choice. The broths we chose were amazing (Szechuan hot & spicy/beef brisket radish) and the veggies and meats were all fresh. The service was great and the drinks were also amazing! I recommend the iced tea! If your in the area it's 100% worth the try!

It seemed the owner took the pandemic measures seriously. There was a temperature checking at the entrance. Each of the tables were separated with curtain and partition. It’s an all you can eat with a fixed price per person. Each person got one hot pot with the desired soup, spicy or not. I got Sichuan spicy hot pot. My husband got tomato pickle hot pot. As much as I love spicy food, I found the Sichuan spicy hot pot was mediocre, not as flavorful as I expected. The tomato pickle soup was better. The ingredients were fresh. The service was good and attentive. We didn’t eat much. One dish of beef slices and one dish of lamb slices as well as some veggies already made us so full. So for the quantity we’ve got, I felt it’s a bit pricey. We may come back to try the dim sum.

Food was very good! Chicken vespucci was delicious and we were well taken care of. Our waiter Camille was a charm and we hope she serves us again! Would definitely recommend this place for anyone, whether its a date or a nice dinner with the family.

Some of the best Italian food I have eaten in years. Incredible menu, great prices, and they take food prep seriously based on what is served. The bread has nice crust, comes out warm and is tasty and comes with olive oil, garlic, green pepper dipping sauce. I have ordered the Chicken Francese and Chicken Limone. Light seasoned egg batter, 2 pieces of chicken breast served with mashed potatoes, green beans, salad. They will make it with fresh squeezed lemon if you ask instead of bottled lemon juice but either way is tasty. The mixed salad is great, no iceberg, nice mixed greens and the house dressing is very tasty. Salad has red cabbage, varied lettuce, black olives, tomatoes, carrots. The entree is large enough for 2 meals. Mash potatoes are creamy with lots of flavor. They don't over salt which is important to me. Really good chicken tortellini soup. Great wine/drink list. I drive over 30 miles to get there, but well worth it. Attentive and helpful waitstaff. Hope to try the pizza and some of their unique pasta dishes in the future. 3/4/25 update Have tried their pizza since my earlier visit. Great crust and sauce. Not overcooked with burnt crust - loved it. This past weekend tried the Chicken Scarpariello - OUTSTANDING. Fresh mushrooms, sundried tomatoes, garlic and hot peppers in a really tasty Marsala sauce. Absolutely loved it, wasn't too hot from the peppers which add a nice zing to the dish. Now my favorite dish.

Came out to New Haven for a day trip a few weeks ago and had to stop at one of the best pizzerias in the country. Food: as expected from one of the best pizzerias in the country, the pizza was out of this world. We did a half roasted pepper, half caprese which were both insanely good. I thought I was full, but then I saw that they had a salted caramel cheesecake with mascarpone cheese which I had to get and might be one of the top three cheesecakes I have ever had. Aesthetic: the place is so popular that there’s actually two different storefronts which required while I was there a 30 minute wait, and that was on a cold-ish, rainy day. Lots of seating with little space to move, but felt cozy enough because of the energy. Service: our serve Alex was awesome, enough said haha

We waited in line for 25 minutes at Sally’s for absolutely no movement in the line. Because of this, we decided to call up Frank Pepes since they’re on the same street and get takeout, instead. Wasn’t that long of a wait at Franks, and I see why. We got the sausage pizza and a cheese to take home. The wife and I both thought it was incredibly burned, VERY excessively oily- to the point the entire box was essentially drenched in stinky burned oil. To say I was let down by this pizza is an understatement. The sausage on top was very high quality and flavorful, as were the caramelized onions. The pizza itself, however, I will never come back to New Haven for-nor recommend anyone go out of their way to try. Genuinely some of the all time worst pizza I’ve had, nevermind one that was trying to be good and is considered one of the best. A bunch of lying people, who’ve clearly never had pizza at a decent NYC establishment or even NJ, which both have 100x better pizza and no wait times associated with this tourist trash on Wooster st. I won’t even get into the beautiful pizzas I’ve had in various European countries, which absolutely outclass and taste better in every single way than this oily mess. Overall, if you like extremely burned pizza/ burned oil taste and wasting your afternoon away at a tourist trap you may think this is the best pizza in the world like the rest of the delusional bunch. I am writing this review a few months after our experience in July 2024 to make sure I didn’t just feel jaded that I wasted my time. Nope, just memorably bad pizza.

I went to this restaurant yesterday. Although it's a little late to post this review, but I must say: this restaurant is really great! ! The greenery of this restaurant is well done, which makes me feel very peaceful and natural. The quality of their food is also very good. There is no strange smell or strange shape, but it tastes so good that I can't help drooling sometimes. 🤤 And their attitude is super good. Although they are a little busy sometimes, they still treat me with their enthusiasm after they are done. And the following are my favorite foods there. It's really delicious 😋

I pass by here all the time during my commute to work and decided to finally give the place a shot. The person in front was extremely friendly and recommended me some great choices. Food was good and there was a lot of it. Definitely coming back again

Found this place randomly and thought of trying it. They have a limited menu but all good options. We tried all 3 slider varieties and their masala fries, everything tasted great - the Szechuan sliders were the best! The place is small and doesn’t have a lot of seating, service can be slow because of takeout orders, nonetheless we will definitely be going back to try more!

This is a unique take on Nashville chicken. The store was really clean and had a fresh vibe to it. Bathroom was also nicer than many fast casual restaurants. Now onto the fun stuff. Badmaash's Mac & Cheese is a must try and liked the fusion idea. Huge portion with a lot of chicken. Super cheesy and I liked the masala and mint chutney sauces on top. It is very heavy so I think it’s best to share as an app instead of as your main meal. I like the metal trays everything is served on but felt the Mac & Cheese could use a better serving dish. Or at least remove the paper insert it was served on because that soaked up the sauce and started to tear. I enjoyed the Murga sandwich and was above average. I did find the amount of Indian spices in it to be less than expecting though and it wasn’t extremely noticeable. That would be my main critique. I will try the masala sandwich next time to see if it has more Indian spices in it. The Masala wings were just okay and wouldn’t really recommend. Moist and crispy but didn’t have a lot of flavor on them.

We were passing through the area and found Woodland. Was fully booked, but we were accommodated at the bar. We are very satisfied with our meal. Every dish was cooked. Well the portion sizes were just right, and everything was very tasty. We enjoyed sitting at the bar, it has a nice skylight, it was raining, made for a unique atmosphere. We would definitely come back and explore more of the menu . Highly recommend the tuna it was delicious.

My sister and I went here on NYE 2023. We loved the menu. Everything we got was delicious! The soup and the ravioli I for had black truffle and it was delicious!! My sister got their classic pistachio crusted salmon. She’s ordered it before and really liked it. She also got the beet salad that looked so pretty. I’m excited to go back.
