Hong Kong Chinese Restaraunt
My experience here was somewhat mixed. While some of the food I tried was mediocre (and I would specifically advise against the Mongolian beef), the lo mein noodles were enjoyable and had a good flavor. The service at the counter was efficient and professional, though not particularly warm. On the positive side, the food arrived very quickly. Perhaps I just didn't order the right items, but the Mongolian beef was certainly a miss.
I have been coming to this place now for the last 3 months and it has almost become a Friday night routine for me for many reasons. 1. The food is always good and the portions are worth the price. I’ve had multiple dishes, multiple times and of all the Chinese take out places in GA my family and I have been to, this is the only one that pleases the crowd across the board. 2. Very clean and wait time is always short. 3. Service is excellent. Justin, who they have attending to customers at the front is ALWAYS smiling and is always professional and pleasant. In a time where customer service seems to be lacking in many places, he definitely stands out as exceptional. Huge part of the reason I keep coming back.
China East Restaurant
I just moved to Douglasville and have been considering China East for a bit, but wanted to get more accustomed to driving in that area. So, tonight I finally placed an order. It was clean and quiet when I went inside. The kitchen looked very nice, you can see it from the counter. When I was approached about my order, the lady was extremely sweet and my order was ready several minutes before the time indicated. I wish I had been able to leave a tip, but I didn't have the money at the time. However, I intend to next time! The food is great. I'm picky about Chinese food, but this was quite nice. I'm not sure why anyone complains about the rice. It's yellow FRIED rice, guys! Have you not heard of yellow fried rice? And it's delicious. I actually prefer it over any other fried rice I've had at other places. The pork and veggies in it were fresh. The rice was perfectly cooked. (Please don't change your recipe!) I also had the sweet and sour chicken. It was fresh, not tough at all, and wonderful. Sure, they don't put pounds of meat into their batter (at the guys who keep complaining about that) but I thought it was a fair amount of chicken and it went so well with the sweet and sour sauce. I'm excited to come back for another visit! Thanks, everyone at China East for making my dinner worthwhile tonight! I've already spread the words to my family to also visit. - Jenn
A simple cozy Chinese place. Looks like your average wing store you'd find next door to the local supermarkets. I always come here to eat during my lunch break, because I don't bring food with me nor do I like the food at my workplace. This place is very average, a good meal is around $10-20. Since, I come in often the employee up front knows me well which is very lovely. Great service and not much else I can say, the environment is not very fancy, just typical, but a good place to stop and rest and be able to eat at. Would recommend eating here. No photos or videos, sorry!
South Garden III
My teenage daughter and I came by for a quick dinner. We had the wonton soup which had a nice flavorful broth and wontons that were not too big or heavy. Would have been even better with some veggies in it as well but the broth soup base made up for it. We ordered the pao pao platter and sesame chicken. Food was great but I was wishing for more than the small bowl of rice that was served with it but that is my personal love of steamed rice. Service was great. Drinks were kept full and we were checked on frequently. All in all will definitely make a frequent stop.
I have nothing but good experiences here. The servers/owners are always kind and the food is delicious! I try to come here a couple times a month and it’s always great! Highly recommend! I have yet to have a bad meal here regardless of what I try.
Dumpling Kitchen
-restaurant was about 80 degrees inside -noodles is chili oil are huge noodles with the consistency off boiled egg. Really bad. -pork dumplings have mo flavor. -wontons in chili oil had the most flavor but I wouldnt be able to tell the difference between these and microwaved dumplings -every single table was dirty and remained dirty until we left -cashier was super nice but a restaurant with 3 people dining in it shouldn't have dirty tables. Way too many good restaurants in castle rock to think this is going to draw people in.
I was so in the mood for Bao last night and this place hit the spot. First time visiting so we got a variety of items on the menu. The staff was very friendly and patient as we asked questions while we tried to figure out what we wanted. Food came out quickly and was so delicious.
South Garden II
They used to be great. Now apparently under new ownership they’re bottom of the barrel. I ordered from them for the last time several months ago. I ordered over a year ago and the egg rolls were mushy, from frozen, and the food went from the best to bland. I tried one more time and specified that if the egg rolls aren’t fresh please take them off. The guy called a couple of minutes later with a crap attitude asking if I wanted to cancel my order. I said yes. Haven’t been back and never will.
Usually love the food. But the egg rolls only had a 3rd of the stuffing they usually do. Thought maybe just a fluke so tried the other one, same thing. Flavor also wasn't great.
Tasty House Chinese Restaurant
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Tasty House is the BEST tradition! 🥢🍜 Every year, I take my daughters to the Daddy-Daughter Ball 💃👔, and for the past 10 years 🗓️, we’ve kicked off our night with dinner at Tasty House—because what’s better than great food to start a magical evening? ✨ The girls ALWAYS order the pupu platter 🍤🔥🍢—when they were little, it was because “pupu” made them giggle 🤭, but now it’s tradition AND delicious! I went for the Happy Family 🥡👨👩👧👦 (because why not?), and it was SO GOOD! 😋 We also shared the chicken lo mein 🍜, which was absolutely fantastic—noodles for days! We started with fried dumplings 🥟, and WOW, they were crispy on the outside, flavorful on the inside, and gone in seconds 🏃♀️💨. The girls topped it all off with boba 🧋, and they’re total boba connoisseurs—they said Tasty House’s boba is FRESH and absolutely delicious. 👏 Tasty House is more than a meal for us—it’s a family tradition ❤️, a pre-ball ritual 🎉, and a place we’ll always love. Do yourself a favor and check it out—you won’t regret it! 🍽️✨
This place is seriously so good! We order takeout and always love what we get. The portions are perfect! Don’t be shy to order thinking that they might skimp out on portions. This place does not skimp out on portion size you will get more than enough. Obviously order 2-3 things from the menus to eat family style. Order thinking spring rolls and dumpling soup too
China Cafe
I didn’t realize this place is located in a little strip of stores. Very simple inside but the food was fresh and tasty. The tofu dishes don’t come with veggies so I requested that on the side and they were fine with making a side order of steamed veg. The mapo tofu was slightly spicy, nothing to worry about. My friend enjoyed the sweet and sour chicken and wonton soup. Egg rolls were more like spring rolls. Overall they were very nice and the woman was very attentive. Would definitely recommend it in the area.
Very nice, just remodeled, the food was delicious and the staff were very nice, will definitely come back
Jasmin Restaurant
I wanted to order lo mein, but I figured chow mein was the most similar since they're both noodles dishes and lo mein was nowhere on the menu. The menu should include more photos of the dishes because I thought this was a different dish than the chow mein when it got here. We were assured this was their chow mein, and we needed to order the lo mein next time. It was quite bland and the chicken in all of our dishes had a funny aftertaste, even in the Mexican cuisine. The crab rangoons were pretty good.
I gotta say, I was definitely skeptical since I've never been to a place with both cuisines but it was GREAT! The food was hot and the ingredients were fresh. Not to mention the lady was so nice! We are just in town to do a concrete project across the street & didn't realize they are only doing takeout orders until we walked in. Beef and brocolli was tasty and the Cho Cho Chicken appetizer was delicious. So many options!
Red Pepper Chinese Restaurant
best authentic chinese food in town. flavors are great especially the spicy dishes. the menu is also inclusive with lots of options. the twice cooked pork, bok choi and mushroom, and spicy fish filet were great.
It was okay and I have honestly been to a few places in town but they need to work on their noodles. Wonton cream cheese was good but the sampler not so much. The sesame chicken was a bit soggy after we got home.
Three Bowl Restaurant
Great food at a good price and large portions! We got gyoza, sweet and sour chicken, and pork and vegetable fried buns. It was all delicious. I was able to save half of my sweet and sour chicken for leftovers.
Very bland. Took over an hour after the given ETA time for food. Very generic, nothing special. For the price, I was expecting a LOT better. I won't be going back here.
Sohao Buffet
decent chinese buffet. the fried squid, mayonnaise shrimp, green beans, and fried rice were great. some of the other dishes are hit or miss depending on your taste. the seafood cheesy dish is pretty good. they have the standard desserts too. i came for dinner but lunch may be more worth it if you dont really eat sea food.
First visit, we were happy and we'll come back. The outside doesn't look like much but the food was very good and the service great. Constant checks on the food and super quick bussing service. Smaller buffet but there really wasn't anything we tried that we didn't like. My favorites - egg drop soup as nice broth without being oily. Egg rolls - not overly cooked and good flavor. Dumplings- so good I didn't even use the sauce. Mongolian Beef - nice slices of tender beef with great flavor and correct onions. Fruit looked good and had juicy flavor. Pudding is might be from a can but it has a dark, rich flavor. The puff filling had a surprising citrus flavor. The "spicy" dishes had a little kick to them but not overly spicy at all.
Senryyo
The food was good and tasted fresh. The food portion definitely was good value for money. It has become my new favorite go to. A good budget meal.
New restaurant! Definitely 5 stars even though my bag was missing a salad (not a big deal). The soup is really good! I'll be here everyday just for the soup 🍲 🙂 We tried a teriyaki bowl as well as beef and broccoli and crab Rangoons. Everything was great!
