Ming's Cafe
Our experience was transcendent. Long gone are the days of bad strip mall Chinese food. This food was EXCELLENT. Modern dining experience with FANTASTIC service from our waiter CAEDEN. Viral sensations like bubble waffles and Vietnamese coffee stole the show. The PORK BUNS were to die for. Prices were very fair. This is what a dining experience should be.
Sashimi yellowtail ponzu prepared perfectly, a deliciously flavored Hot & Sour soup with impeccable consistency with just the right amount of tang, amazingly elevated Pad Thai and I cannot recommend the House Lo Mein enough, seriously, get it. The combo is filled with succulent shrimp cooked impeccably, tinder chicken, yummy veggies. They must be cooking them individually it seems because the cook time for each is different, yet each is cooked perfectly. In short: it's delicious! The noodles are even soaked with flavor! Every slirp was a flavor explosion. They have really fun drinks as well to check out and their house hot saki is a smooth and pairs perfect with a Kirin lite. I'm not in this area often, but it is definitely worth the drive, even as a focal point of your trip. If you go with friends, all their apps are great, and while those alone would be a enough food, the actual dishes are very large and also easily sharable. Ask for a few small plates to share. Lastly, the team there is really professional and genuinely kind. Our waiter, appologies for not getting his name, was polite, attentive and very educated with their dishes which is a HUGE sign that the owners care about quality and ambiance. As a world traveler, I have to say, this place is definitely worth the jaunt.
NBX Asian Cuisine
Best authentic Chinese food in CO! Steamed dumplings were the highlight of my meal. Orange juice chicken was delicious! I look forward to returning in the near future. Food and service were a 10/10.
Amazing little place with really authentic dishes and an accommodating staff and a great chef. The dishes we ordered came out piping hot, as soon as they were done, and they were excellently spiced. We got the cumin lamb, the twice cooked pork, the spicy beef, the pork steamed dumplings, and the dry cooked green beans. The lamb was amazing, coated with cumin and cooked to perfection with red onions and fresh cilantro. The twice cooked pork was amazing, with rough chopped garlic, plenty of both tender muscle and rich pork belly, there were lovely slabs of pressed tofu and lots of leeks and veg. The spicy beef was perfectly tender and served over a bed of bean sprouts and other veg. It was spicy, but not stupid hot. That is traditional for the region. The beans were surprisingly, but deliciously spicy with a good hot chili oil. The actual red Chili pods weren't crazy hot, just tasty. The dumplings are all made in house and were wonderful. They said that their hamburger guy was also the one to make the fancier dumplings and he was in China for the month, but to come back in September to get those again. I'll definitely be back again. We had four people and with five dishes were had enough leftovers for at least three lunches.
Pepper Asian Bistro II
As a discerning diner with a particular palate for Chinese food, I've explored countless restaurants in Denver, but Pepper Asian Bistro II remains my unwavering favorite. Its chic atmosphere, coupled with its exceptional culinary offerings, creates an unforgettable dining experience. Two dishes that consistently elevate my dining experience are the Walnut Shrimp and the Happy Family. The Walnut Shrimp is a masterpiece – tender shrimp, delicately coated in a sweet and savory sauce, adorned with crunchy walnuts. It's a symphony of flavors and textures that never fails to delight. The Happy Family is a culinary favorite, featuring a harmonious blend of chicken, beef, shrimp, and scallops, stir-fried to perfection with vibrant vegetables. It's a feast for the senses, showcasing the restaurant's expertise in balancing flavors and creating visually stunning dishes. Beyond the delectable food, Pepper Asian Bistro II offers a chic and inviting ambiance. The modern decor, soft lighting, and attentive service create a sophisticated atmosphere that complements the exquisite dining experience. If you're seeking a truly memorable Chinese dining experience in Denver, Pepper Asian Bistro II is the ultimate destination. The shrimp fried rice is also a favorite served with large plump juicy shrimp. They also do delivery when you just don’t want to leave your house.
Pepper Asian Bistro II is a fantastic spot for delicious Asian food in Denver that won't break the bank! It's some of the best in town - you won't regret going here! The service is always friendly, and we've always had great meals here. This time, we started with the Cheese Wontons and Chicken Gyoza, which were both excellent! For our main course, we shared the Sesame Chicken which had perfectly crispy chicken in a delicious sweet and savory sauce. We've also enjoyed the Egg Drop Soup and Walnut Shrimp on other visits. Some of our other favorites include the Spring Rolls, Pad Thai, and Orange Chicken. Pepper Asian Bistro II has a wonderful atmosphere for a casual meal with friends or family, plus they offer takeout and delivery. Highly recommend!
Little Panda Cafe Inc
I eat lunch here regularly! They are excellent it's a like 2 bucks a scoop, excellent portion, the family that runs here is awesome. I've lost my wallet and they kept it for me. Great people, great business.
What can I say? It's average food at a great price point. I like the type of lomein noodles used and the happy family had a good variety of veggies and meats. The egg drop soup was delicious. The fried rice was ok. It was a little harder than it should have been, as if it was left sitting out too long. I would come here only if I was on a tight budget and was craving something warm and easily available.
Jaya Asian Grill
The perfect spot for southern Chinese cuisine. They have authentic Chinese dishes different than most you have had at other restaurants. This place is a must try. The service was excellent and the food was served hot and fresh. make sure you stop in !!!!! I will definitely be back here again...
I recently ordered take out at Jaya Indonesian Restaurant and tried a variety of dishes, including Beef Rendang with coconut rice, Fried Rice, Satay Chicken, Char Kway Teow, roti Canai, Pulut Hitam, and Beef Steak Sambal Goreng. The Beef Steak Sambal Goreng was incredibly flavorful which added a delightful aroma and richness. The Fried Rice was well-seasoned and had a nice texture. Chicken Satay was terrible and I would not order again. It was dry, and the peanut sauce was not very creamy. Being an Indonesian, in my opinion, the satay lacked authenticity and didn’t have the same flavor as what I had back home. Char Kway Teow had the right balance of spices and was very satisfying. For dessert, the Pulut Hitam was a perfect sweet ending, with its warm, coconutty, and slightly sticky texture. Lastly, the beef rendang was the highlight of our meal, with its spicy, savory kick that left us wanting more. It was extremely tender, paired perfectly with the coconut rice. Overall, the food quality and flavor were good, and I recommend Jaya Indonesian Restaurant for a wonderful culinary experience!
Chinatown restaurant
After a day of skiing, this is a great place to reward yourself! My boyfriend and I got the gourmet dinner special. We both got the volcano shrimp, which was battered perfectly. So good! I just wish the sauce was spicy. There is a chili pepper labeled next to it on the menu, but we didn't taste the heat, so make sure to ask for it to be hotter if you like the heat! I love that they have their spicy mustard and sweet and sour sauce in the mustard and ketchup bottles on the table ready for you. The restaurant is spotless, and the servers are very kind and attentive. They were quick to fill up our drinks. We really appreciated the service.
Fantastic service! Great food. Just a little pricey, but worth it for the great service. We really appreciate their willingness to accommodate special dietary needs and not make us feel embarrassed.
Ho Mei Chinese Restaurant
Need a quick pick up when your out? This place is it. Family owned little Chinese restaurant offers great takeout. I picked up here the other day and they had a little line so I knew the food was going to be great. The orange chicken with white rice is usually my go-to, but I also had the lo mein noodles, jalepeño chicken and some spring rolls. All were delicious, and I will be getting again. They definitely don't skimp out on the portions because these plates were HUGE! Great bank for your buck here. Service was quick and generous. Great for late night dinners and lunches.
I have been looking for a decent pay by the scoop place in Denver. Quick and very affordable. Definitely a great spot if you don’t want to pay 40$ to have 3 days of leftovers like other places
The Empress Seafood Restaurant
Ah I always crave a good Cantonese Style dinner and this meal was delicious! We ordered all our favorite go to dishes: Ginger Scallion Crab, Green Beans with Pork, Roast Duck, Cantonese Style Chow Mein, Shrimp with Lobster Sauce, and Potstickers! I enjoyed the Green Beans dish. I was so excited to see chung choy in it, which added to the flavor profile. The combination Chow Mein was perfectly crispy with plentiful amounts of tender meat and veggies. Ginger Scallion Crab and Shrimp with Lobster sauce was what we expected and executed well. Some of the end pieces of duck were a bit salty but overall was very good. I’d love to try the Peking Duck next time with the buns and the crispy roast pork. I felt the cost of the food was very reasonable with the amount of food given. I love the fact that you can order dim sum at any time. But makes it hard to choose what to order because everything sounds good. The servers were so nice and had very fun personalities, always with a smile on their faces. They made our meal really enjoyable and did a fairly good job keeping our water cups filled. The restaurant was spacious and appeared tidy. We went there on a Saturday night and there were people setting up for likely a wedding event. I’m sure Empress is a place where many Asians have their reception meals and events. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy and was happy to see that they had their own parking lot. We were only visiting, but we’ll definitely be back to try more items in the future and would recommend others to give it a try!
Such a great dim sum option, complete with fresh grilled dumplings and traditional cart service. There is no long wait like at Star Kitchen and the food is always fresh & delicious.
1.35 N UP A Scoop Chinese Restaurant
I got pepper chicken noodles and egg rolls i have a seafood allergy I'll add a photo. I was happily eating dinner before having to panic and use my epi pen. That is a shrimp. The texture is obvious. I'm going to see if I'm OK. But wow. Food safety. No.
If I’m in the neighborhood I always drop by here for some egg drop soup. The portion is large and generous without the cost. The food is definitely not authentic, but it’s a good tasty meal when you need to get going.
King Wok
Food seemed to be really good quality and fresh. Prices were reasonable and service was really fast. As I sat and ate, they went through lots of customers but were quick to pack the food and get the line moving. You definitely get your money's worth here. Great place for a quick, delicious bite. Oh and the chow fun was perfect! I don't see it too often as an option at comparable restaurants, but they knocked it out of the ballpark.
Only "dollar a scoop" chinese food place I trust in Denver, and I found that out the hard way. I always get the chicken Lo Mein, honey chicken, and sesame chicken; food is always fresh, environment and food is clean, portions are GENEROUS - easily double a Panda Express "plate", and damn-near unbeatable prices. Highly recommend.
Hop Alley
One of the things I noticed about restaurants in the US was how they blend perfectly into the decor of the building. The interiors are the ones that make a difference. The other is the way in which the menu is presented and explained. All the cocktails had exotic names and it was clear that the ones conceiving the concoctions were having good fun - even to the extent of mildly embarrassing the customers ordering them There was one lamb dish which I did not eat and the report was that it went down well. The Singapore Noodles, the ginger rice and the accompaniments were great. Different from the Indian version of Chinese food but hitting the right notes. The dessert was a revelation. The sweet bit came out on top but the textures and the interplay of the other elements in the dish, including the floral flavours were amazing. It's not for everyone, so be warned before you're tempted to order it. There was striking graffiti on the walls leading up to the hotel, so I have included a picture of that, even though it should not be in the review if I was being strict. Hop Alley comes from hip hop and that influence is apparent in the overall decor and music as well as the atmosphere. Makes for an interesting combination and they seem to have found their niche
We arrived around 5:30pm prior to it gets busy and noisy. Great service and good. It’s definitely fusion cuisine, and had its own twist. Some dishes may be on the saltier side, especially on vegetables, but they are till very good and highly recommended.
Beyond Sushi Thai
So glad we came across this hidden gem! Came in with a group of 10 and we all had a great time. Every dish we ordered was amazing and the service was quick as well. We are already discussing coming back to try more dishes later this week. Tons of options for vegetarians. Our favorite dishes were the ones recommended by our server! BYOB
10 out of 5 This is the best Asian restaurant in Vail and possibly Colorado. They have a huge menu from sushi to Thai but the stand outs are their Chinese dishes. If you want authentic Szechuan this is the place! What we got: - Wonton soup - homemade dumplings had a good ginger and garlic flavor. Big enough for two as an app. - Double cooked pork - absolutely outstanding. Big portion with vegetables, fermented black beans, so good! - Spicy crispy fish - highly recommend this if you like spicy food. I love this dish whether the chicken or fish variations and this might have been the best I’ve had! I can’t say enough about the Chinese food. We were blown away with how good they were. Our server Patrick was incredible. He was so friendly and welcoming. He’s a serious skier and you can often find him backpacking 30+ pounds of cooking gear to make fresh food slope side! We have tried many places in Vail and I highly, highly, highly recommend this place. The interior is small so I recommend making a reservation. Pro tip: it’s BYOB so bring a bottle of wine or a few beers!
