Nana’s Dim Sum & Dumplings
This place has that fast casual vibe where they just want you to hurry up eat and leave so other customers can sit down. We heard some staff yelling at each other. Hopefully nobody was getting in the cook's way because I can relate to that. The food itself was phenomenal. Be aware that when eating many other cultures foods that there may be many small bones. I don't mind this and find it very enjoyable and comforting. My companion however didn't like the short ribs or chicken feet (many don't like chicken feet.) I found them both fantastic especially the short ribs. The soup dumplings were also delicious...kinda like little bit sized pot pies would be one way to describe it. I think the place is a little pricey for dim sum and I wish I could order many more options and not such large options as they have but if money isn't an object then the food is great.
As someone who loves to watch that intricate ballet of an efficient kitchen, this restaurant is a joy. After you place your order, watch at the kitchen window to see orders being prepared. The kitchen is well-run and tidy. We enjoyed the tangy chicken bites and the vegetable dumplings on this visit. There is a lot of pride in the food coming out of this kitchen and it really shows. Can’t wait for a return visit. Thanks to the kitchen staff and front of the house staff – – good job!
Flower Pepper Restaurant - Authentic Chinese Home Cooking
I work next to their old location. My coworkers and I are definitely sad that they moved to the hill. Today we went there for lunch. I ordered the wonton duck noodle soup. It was still as amazing as before. Their broth was so good. One of the few restaurants that I drink all of the broth.
I ordered the vegetarian dan dan noodles. They were superb. They came in a savory vegetarian broth with oil. I normally don’t like vegetarian dishes, but the flavor in the texture was so superior that I didn’t mind. Strongly recommended.
Golden Sun Chinese Restaurant
Great service. Ordered Mongolian beef, fried chicken wings, and fried cheese wonton. Mongolian Beef well season good flavor, onions and peppers were perfectly cooked. Cheese wonton tastes like every other Chinese place. The plain wings were okay. They do not have a fountain drink, all cans. Free refill on water. ;-)
I've eaten here for years, and I've always really enjoyed the scrumptious meals I get here. Great value, huge portions, and excellent flavors. I have made a ritual of sorts out of coming here after my shopping errands.
Mason's Dumpling Shop - Boulder
Absolutely delicious food! Highly recommend any of the rice bowls or dumplings. Staff is friendly and food comes out somewhat quick. I’d recommend ordering ahead of time because it can get busy during the lunch hours.
Good place for dumplings, noodles and rice. There is also a good selection of side dishes. Service is friendly, open kitchen. Order at the counter first and staff will assign a you a table number. Plates and bowls are a nice stoneware, not plastic. Food comes quickly and served hot. Each table has condiments like chili oil, black vinegar and soy sauce. We ordered: Pork Belly Noodle $14.00 1 Pan Fried Pork $12.00 1 Steamed Soup $13.00 1 Pan Fried Beef $13.00 1 Baby Bok Choy $6.50 We also received a complementary pan fried chicken which was a pleasant surprise! The wrap on the soup filled dumplings is a bit thicker than we are used to but the flavour is delicious and there is plenty of yummy soup inside. Overall a great choice if you’re craving this type of food.
Hao Way Chinese Cafe
This is the hole in the wall Chinese food place you wish you had in your neighborhood! Amazing and delicious. Not greasy, you can tell it is fresh. Some of the best Chinese food I have ever had!!
Go here for lunch at least once a month. $9 gets you two main items (sesame chicken, crab wontons, egg rolls, mixed veggies etc.) and rice or lo mein. The woman running the counter is always super fast and friendly and the food keeps coming out hot and fresh from the kitchen. One of the best values for your dollar in this city - pop in next time you're hungry for Chinese!
Tsing Tao
Vegan and non-vegan family members and all loved it. If you’re vegan, they have a separate extensive vegan menu. If you can, go on Monday or Thursday night for their vegan buffet ($22). All of my pics are of that buffet! Trust me, just go.
As a Vegetarian, I love the “all vegan” dinner buffet at Tsing Tao Restaurant. There are so many delicious items to choose from! The vegan buffet is only offered twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays starting at 5:00 PM. Besides Chinese dishes, they also have some other Asian dishes on the buffet, like Thai Basil Eggplant with Tofu n Broccoli, Mongolian “Plant-based Vegan Beef” w/sliced peppers n onions, and Vegetable Tempura, just to name a few. All of these dishes are my favorites. Some of my other favorites are Szechuan Eggplant with Tofu, the Sautéed Bok Choy, Vegan Sesame Balls filled with a lightly sweet bean paste, Fresh Rice Paper Spring Rolls, and the Sautéed String Beans. The Peanut Sauce is the best I have ever had, and I have tried many versions of peanut sauce in my lifetime… there is a nice light coconut taste to it. The owners are very conscious when preparing their vegan dishes, so I feel confident that there is no animal/meat/seafood cross contamination. If the Buffet is not your thing, they also have an extensive vegetarian section and an extensive vegan section on their menu. If you’re looking for the best Chinese Vegan and Vegetarian food in Boulder County, I highly recommend Tsing Tao Restaurant… James DC
Fan's Chinese Cuisine
I used to come here years ago when working in the area, I think the ladies name was actually Fan that used to be there. I don’t see her anymore. The only guy that’s there now one of the person in the kitchen, possibly is always rude. The quality of the food has gone downhill in major way. The prices have gone up last couple times I’ve been there they’ve messed my order up. They didn’t even have chopsticks there was no sweet-and-sour or soy or any other things that you normally get at any other restaurant I’ve ever been in my life. I asked for spicy lo mein and it was so hot. I could barely even eat it and I didn’t enjoy it at all the fried rice that came along with the lunch combination was a joke. It was just rice with probably just fried peanut oil. Complete joke I’ll never go back again
I used to go here when my kids were very little, once a week. 10+ years ago. I hope Wen still owns the restaurant. I loved her parents. They treated my kids as their own everytime we came in.
Double Happy
Take-out only on Main Street in Louisville. $20 entrees but large portions. Tried the general Tao’s- overly sweet. The accompanying vegetables were raw, kinda just thrown in there. Decent chicken, but nothing special.
Had a great meal for take out yesterday. They were able to accommodate us being gluten and dairy free. The beef fried rice was very much a highlight as was the boba! Will definitely be returning to try out more of the menu. The boba specifically came very highly recommended from a lot of locals.
Chef King Carry-Out
I ordered the chicken pan fried noodles (with fried rice), wonton soup, and an egg roll. It came out to $25 and overall, it was decent. The pan fried noodle dish was quite good. However, the accompanying fried rice (which was included) wasn't very flavorful and only had small amounts of egg. The wonton soup was fine, nothing special. And the "egg roll" was more of a spring roll than an egg roll, if not a spring roll by definition. The food is probably enough for 3ish servings. Edit: Also tried some lunch specials. Pretty decent value.
I've been coming to this place for 15 years at least. And man they know what there doing no doubt. Food is always fresh and so delicious at a good price. The people are also so kind and awesome! So playing y'all get you some good freshly cooked never old and never cold food today pull up!
Colorado Wok
“I ordered takeout, and the two standout dishes for me were the fried tofu and the egg drop noodle soup—both were incredibly delicious and full of flavor. We also tried the fried rice, which was decent. The beef was cooked well but cut very thick, making it a bit chewy. The same goes for the Mongolian beef. The beef lo mein was just okay—it was a little too wet, and again, the beef was quite thick. Overall, it was a great experience and the dishes weren’t bad at all.
This is our GO TO because the food is amazing and always delicious, filling, and the best in every way. My go to is their Tofu meals that are awesome, filling, and perfectly prepared. Every selection has plenty to eat and it never disappoints. We travel a distance to get there and it is always worth it and never disappoints. Sesame chicken is top notch. The staff is terrific, the bathrooms are well kept, the dining area is clean including the floors! We travel 35 miles one way to eat there and we have always had an awesome meal with outstanding service.
China Buffet
What food was out was left over from lunch. Cold, cold, cold. We arrived about 5 pm. Did not start bringing fresh hot food out until 6:10. Could tell the soup had not even been stirred since maybe lunch. Recommend not coming for dinner until then. For the price, we won't be back.
I normally think people have to high of standards for buffets, so they leave bad reviews, but this place is as bad as everyone said. I showed up slightly after 11 to get it as fresh as I could. Food is incredibly bland, I got three different types of chicken, and I couldn't tell the difference other than the shapes. The chicken on a stick tasted undercooked, and the wontons in the soup tasted like old pork. Definitely don't recommend.
Panda Express
I ordered food but did not get some of the food. I ordered a dozen Rangoons and for the 3rd time I got 3. No more chances for this place they yake your momey buy food not in the bag every time.
I've never experienced a happy employee here. They are always in a hurry and always make me feel rushed. Every single time we have to wait "7 minutes for teriyaki chicken" and we always seem to wait 20. The food is good and reasonable on price but the staff is depressing. If you order the beef and broccoli, be ready for just broccoli, literally two pieces of meat
