U&I BBQ KARAOKE BAR
Very authentic taste of Chinese bbq, it’s a little pricey than other places, but overall worth to try. We came in a late afternoon, so there were plenty of seats, the foods came out also very quick. We tried the pig feet, whole squid, dried tofu, beef and lamb skewers. We enjoyed all of them except the dried tofu, which were salty and dry. We like the squid and pig feet the most, perfectly cooked and seasoned, highly recommended. Overall, great place would definitely come again whenever we travel back.
Wow! This has to be the best meal I've ever had since I got to Denver. The skewers were amazingly seasoned and flavorful. A tad on the sweeter side but that's just because I'm heavy on salty foods. Still delicious! The scallops tasted a bit old, as if they've been sat on the side for about twenty before ending up on my table. But everything else was simply delicious! Salt and pepper spare ribs were some of the best ones I've ever had. Juicy on the inside and crunchy on the outside! I also want to give a shout-out to our server of the evening. Young man was by himself working the entire dining room and the karaoke rooms as the host, server and bartender. It got quite busy around dinner time. He was patient and courteous with everyone who came in, held his composure and served everybody with a good attitude and a smile. He's amazing! And we will definitely be back for more!
New Nagoya
Veggie egg foo young veggie fried rice and spring rolls are my favorite things to eat here! I appreciate how clean they keep their restaurant and never had a problem with cross contamination like other restaurants! I would recommend using tape instead of staples for carry out bags because I did find a staple at the end of my meal! Also the veggie hibachi is good but I usually eat it before I do a review so sorry no picture!
Note to self: Orange chicken is good, it has an authentic tang like they used fresh oranges, wish it was crunchier but overall one of the best orange chicken dishes so far. Fried rice is good, has real eggs and isn't greasy (Dont remember if provides brown rice, will update later, must also check quality of their Sesame chicken.) Good average price as well. OVERALL: a good place to eat at regularly.
Ten Seconds Yunnan Rice Noodles
Came here with several friends so we got to try a variety of side dishes in addition to the noodle soups. There wasn't a bad dish, everything was excellent including their vegetarian options. The portion sizes were very generous and service was fast.
Rice noodles and beef in spicy broth, Rice noodles and tripe in spicy broth, fried fish in sweet vinegar sauce, black fungus in vinegar, and glass noodles, and the hong Kong French toast with cocoa and condensed milk...all very tasty! Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. Definitely recommend.
Yong gung
In-laws like this place so given them a try. The sea food dry ja Jang (item 4) was okay but not that stand out. Lack the fried Ja Jang favor and seafood are frozen bag. Portion is good. Kkan Pung Shrimp also just okay, thick fry coating takes up most weight a d spaces render the overall favor. May be Jjam Bong would have better taste as in-laws suggested. Use plastic cup to serve hot/warm water.
We use to order Tonkotsu from this restaurant for years- The restaurant has changed hands, but I am not sure when….We use to get 2 Tonkatsu dinners for 28.00 . Which I thought was a reasonable price- the dinners come with the katsu- 2 sauces, side salad dressed with thousand island dressing and a side of rice. This order included those items with 2 sides of rice and an order of gyoza ( goonmandu ) and it now costs 55.00. Is it worth the difference in price now…? The sides of rice are in a much smaller container than before. Also the salads are smaller. I would say if the food was considerably better - maybe, but the food is exactly the same as it was before. An increase of 27.00 dollars.. The food is good and always has been, but you will have to make that decision for yourselves.
Corner Poke
A terrific little gem tucked literally in the corner. Hard to find but worth it. Excellent curry Ramen and excellent poke bowl. Daily specials are great as they include a roll. Def coming back and bringing fam. 2nd visit and it is as good as 1st. This is hard to find coz it's literally tucked in a corner but is worth the find. Had the curry ramen again and it was every bit as good as memory. Tried the softshell crab and it was delightful. Wife had the seafood poke bowl and enjoyed it just the same. This is a consistently good place to check out.
EDIT 9/26/24: Visited this place one more time to see if they serve similar portions and quality. This time, I tried some nigiri as well. The fish quality was decent. The chef gave us extra nigiri per order; greatly appreciated. Only thing I noticed was that the rice wasn't cooked all the way. It may just be this time, as it was fine during my first visit. ORIGINAL: What a surprise. They do not mess around with the amount of fish in the poke bowl. Thinking that the poke bowl itself wouldn't be enough, I got a yellowtail roll as well. I did not have to at all. The aqua vibe had salmon and smoked salmon, and it was delicious all around. They covered the smoked salmon with sesame seed (I didn't mind at all), which made it different; in a good way. The yellowtail roll was okay. 18 dollars for the amount of salmon I got was really worth it. Sushi/sashimi are really expensive nowadays, and I appreciate their portion size very much.
Chopstix Fusion
What a feast! The Beef Hor Fun was easily one of the best we’ve ever had, silky noodles, tender beef, and that perfect smoky char. We wrapped up with Pandan and Coconut Boxed Cake, light and fragrant, and the Strawberry Crepe Cake, soft, creamy, and just the right amount of sweet. The owner, Wendy, pours her heart into both the food and the service. The quote on the wall says it all about food and culture, "You can lay the world’s burden down, but never your chopsticks." : )
Ok this place is legitimately good. If I lived a little closer I would probably get take out from here regularly. The dipping sauce that comes with the dumplings is a highlight. The beef chow fun is delicious and you should get it with the XO sauce. Everything we ordered, the salt and pepper shrimp, fried green beans, and boiled fish, all delicious. They make their desserts on site and are quite good. They are maybe half the sweetness you might find in an American bakery.
Shanghai Kitchen
Great place we found through reviews and a little searching while in the area. This restaurant has been around for years and deserves the many accolades and positive comments from other reviewers. Definitely has a family feel where the chef/owner came out and chatted to us about menu options, and even whipped up something special for us when we couldn't quite find what we were in the mood for on the menu. Overall the food was authentic and delicious, and appreciated the personalized service. Highly recommended.
I KOREAA THIS VERY GOOD. I love this jambo noodle. Perfect for rainy cold chilly days. The spice is just perfect to heat up your mouth and the meat is so juicy.
Bistro King Asian Restaurant 百味居
The food is delicious! ORDER FROM THE PAPER MENU!!! Service took a long time but we went on Christmas night and were appropriately warned that the ‘authentic’ stuff from the paper menu would take longer to come out. We will DEFINITELY be eating here again!!! New Christmas tradition?
Amazing! Travel from Minnesota to Colorado and found this restaurant. As a Chinese, I would say that the food here is so authentic and delicious! My Chinese stomach had a SPA. Highly recommended. Sorry I only have a photo of the dishes almost done.
P & Y Cafe Asian Bistro
The black bean seafood noodle dish was so freaking good. The noodles were straight from the dough making them so incredibly long, chewy, and delicious. I came here right after a dentist appointment with a numbed mouth. Bit my tongue more times than I could count but I still couldn’t stop eating. Everything was so good, even the sides. The owner was so kind and has lived in many parts of east Asia. He knows what he’s making. Will be coming back, please give this place a try.
COME HERE RIGHT NOW do not delay for the LOVE OF ALL THINGS. Holy. Crap. The pork black bean sauce over rice with seafood soup. One of the best things I’ve ever put in my mouth oh my gosh. Affordable. Absolutely incredible. Very nice and clean. Quick service. HUGE portion sizes. Best value food in all of Denver.
One More Noodle
Wow. First time having pulled noodles with soup and was blown away. Broth, you can tell they take time to make and pull noodles amazing. All the food is cooked to order. I had the brisket in my soup along, pork buns, dumplings, and fried pork chop. Cozy little place and amazing service and prices. It's good if you have done too much Ramen and Pho and want to try a Chinese power broth. I will come again. Oh and also amazing Milk Teas!!!
This is the epitome of incredible homemade, quality, authentic Chinese food, and the best I've had. It's a completely unassuming little place with a limited menu, and they perfect the items they offer for ordering. Tip: You will need to look for Volcano Tea, which is the Boba tea portion of their menu, since it's not clearly marked as One More Noodle from the car. Plenty of parking. We were on a trip for 8 days, and this was 1 of 2 places that we went back to a second time (and likely would have made it a third if we tried it earlier in our trip - it was our last dinner in Denver). The first time I had the hand-pulled noodle beef brisket soup and split an order of mini pork buns with my daughter. Her order was the pork rib pulled noodle stir fry. We ordered at the counter, not realizing that if we dined in, we could sit down and someone would come take our order. Once we sat down, we were brought water immediately and welcomed again. The broth had layers and layers of flavor that must have been slowly and patiently achieved by the owner/chef. The noodles were not only flavorful, but the texture was spot-on, as were the vegetables. I saved the beef for last for a reason - it was perfection. Tender, jam-packed with rich flavor, and complimented all the other elements in the bowl exactly how it should have. The pork buns were light, soft, and also had the taste of homemade, but GOOD homemade. The kind that make people say to someone, "you should open a restaurant and sell these!" The stir-fried pulled noodle with pork ribs that my daughter had was equally excellent. I can agree with her assessment that the pork ribs and noodles were a dish to savor, and surprisingly light for stir-fried noodles (this dish was NOT oily or overcooked). When we returned the second time, the owner recognized us and warmly greeted us, letting us know that the pork buns had sold out (a testament to their popularity), but that was fine with us. We were going to eat our main dishes like it was an Olympic sport. We changed up a little bit on the 2nd visit: I did the shaved noodles with the beef brisket soup and my daughter doubled the noodles in her dish. After that second meal, we can attest to the consistency of the food, the friendliness and warmth of the restaurant overall, and how much we already miss this food.
GOLDEN SAIGON Restaurant
We decided to eat here after reading a write up in an article about restaurants of Aurora. Everything was excellent, particularly the service. Everyone was friendly and food came out quickly. The restaurant itself was cozy and intimate feeling with beautiful twinkle lights, and lots of greenery!
Best pho I have had in Colorado! This place was so cute on the inside! The service was excellent! The pho was delicious. I definitely recommend the brisket pho. 10 out of 10! The server also gave us a free order of dumplings! They were very kind and consistently checked in to make sure we were satisfied. I will definitely be returning to try more items on the menu.
ZOMO
ZOMO is a great restaurant situated in a poppin' spot on Broadway. They get pretty busy, so you should definitely reserve ahead of time. Solid Vietnamese food!! (As a Vietnamese person, you can trust me!) Great to see none of the flavors profiles for Viet classics like banh xeo, pho, bo luc lac, etc have been toned down! You don't often see banh xeo on menus around here, so it was a very welcome sight! I also think they do a great job putting the right amount of veggies so there's no waste. It's also refreshing to see a menu that embraces the Vietnamese diaspora & the third culture that manifests from it! The Kansas State Fair egg rolls is a twist on a staple, with its Viet-American roots. It's fun to see things like meatloaf, or apple sauce being used to showcase an Asian American kitchen. Their pho is great! Perfectly beefy, balanced in aromatics, rich and cozy. A solid bowl that is greatly accompanied with their fatty brisket. Coconut jelly is a perfect way to end the meal - just leave out the chocolate sauce. (That stuff ain't right in coconut jelly.) The only miss was the bo luc lac meat was cut too small, resulting in a dry tougher beef to chew, which usually isn't the norm. But could be good if you fancy beef jerky! I didn't try any of their non-Viet items so I can't speak on the other things. They also had pup chow for our little guy, which he enjoyed! LOVE having a place we can enjoy pho & also bring our dog!
Absolutely love this restaurant — always leave happy and satisfied! Wonderful drink menu, delicious food and just a great overall atmosphere. The staff is attentive and friendly too. Always my go-to stop for dinner, or some starters and drinks, before shows at The Gothic. Favorite Englewood restaurant by far!
