This restaurant offers a wider variety of Shanghai dishes than most Shanghai restaurants, and the flavors are excellent—definitely 5-star quality. However, the service can be slow and somewhat rude, which detracts from the overall dining experience. For example, staff may lecture customers on their taste preferences when ordering and rarely ask if diners need water or other assistance without being asked multiple times. In summary, their food is outstanding and perfect for those who love authentic Shanghai cuisine, but if the service were improved, it could be one of the top Shanghai restaurants in New York.

Hidden gem for anyone craving authentic Shanghainese flavors. The dishes are packed with flavor, from the crispy and sweet smoked fish to the incredibly tender braised pork trotter with abalone, which melts in your mouth without being overly rich. The chicken is a must-try—juicy, aromatic, and perfectly paired with their signature dipping sauce. Highly recommend for a true taste of Shanghai!

As a Shanghainese, I must say this is the top Shanghainese restaurant I’ve ever visited at NYC. Everything was exactly the same taste as at home. I ordered the fresh chicken, smoked fish, eel, vege fried rice, and braised meat… everything was absolutely delicious, and the portion is great!! I kept coming back for the delicious food and warm feeling like home!

This is the most authentic Shanghainese food in NYC. It may not be too clean here, but still! There are a number of unique dishes you have to try here, pan fried dumplings, pan fried buns, crystal shrimp, eels and rice in palm leaves. Other restaurants may carry these dishes but not even close to the dishes from Shanghai. Here is the dilemma, if this place is only a hole-in-the-wall, I would have given it 5-star rating; however, it's a nicely decorated full size restaurant. The service and the hygiene aspect of the business is not keeping up with its status.

Best authentic Shanghainese food I had in Flushing. Definitely try the 葱油拌面，Scallion noodles, exactly the same taste I had in the childhood. Nice and clean inside. Good place for family or friends gathering.
