Originally I was skeptical because this place was relatively close to Time Square, but they delivered! No frills dumplings or noodle soup that is affordable and comes with decent portions. I forgot to get photos of the dumplings but got some of the noodle soup! :( It’s a small seating area so it can get pretty busy during meal times so if you’re able to come at a little bit off schedule then you’ll have a better chance of getting seats. Service was friendly and nice!
This spot is always busy, but if I’m being honest I’m not entirely sure why. They are known for their pork buns, which I thought were okay, but I enjoyed the pan fried duck buns more. There are plenty of other spots nearby (on 9th ave) that serve way better buns.
The pan-fried Peking duck buns were delightfully warm, sweet, and tender. The Peking duck was incredibly flavorful and juicy. The steamed pork dumplings were richly flavorful and abundant with pork fillings. Their pork and shrimp wonton showcases a ginger flavor that offers a heartwarming sensation. The soup was rich in flavor and expertly balanced. The spicy beef ramen displays a touch of spiciness, while the broth radiated a cozy warmth. The beef was incredibly tender and complemented the soup nicely. The hand-pulled and cut "Dao Xiao" noodles demonstrated a perfect texture. The abundant serving of noodles guaranteed a filling meal. The House special ramen with hand-pulled noodles was outstanding. The 12-hour simmered beef broth, made with care, was discernible in every bite. I highly recommend a visit here when in New York. Be prepared for a possible line outside, but know that the wait is worth it. INSTAGRAM: BEEFYFOODIE
We loved this spot! My daughter really wanted ramen for her birthday dinner and we happened to be in this area when we searched up where to go, thankfully! They got us seated quickly even though it’s a pretty small space. Food was quick and piping hot. The soup dumplings were amazing and she loved her chicken ramen. It’s delicious but a little plain which allows for you to spice it up more if you’d like. Great prices for New York - similar prices to ramen spots where we live in South Carolina. Definitely putting this on our list of NYC recommendations!
This is a hole in the wall with 5 tables that serves the absolute best Asian food I've ever had. The scallion pancake with beef is 10/10 and the noodles with beef and chili oil might genuinely be the best stir fry ever. Definitely come check this place out!!
