New Hong Kong Garden

This is the first time I went to this establishment because I am not from the neighborhood I happen to be shopping nearby and it had a parking lot UNFORTUNATELY I got food poisoning from their Hot n Sour soup. The eggs must have not been fresh I was sick 24 hours. I reported this restaurant to the NYC DOH because nobody should eat out and get sick. To be fair the service and portions were good but getting sick from their soup put a damper on it all. Also the atmosphere is old and worn down the food options lights don't work and the place is extremely cold that you basically can't sit in there.

Best hot and sour soup in Fresh Meadows, NY. Highly recommend it as it contians full of ingredients: sliced tofu, wood ear mushrooms, bamboo shoot and egg drop. Chicken wings and spring rolls are tasty as well. I always go back and order these same items! Spring rolls are nutrients dense as it contains various vegetables and a large whole shrimp！ There are also Shanghai rolls that are vegan friendly no shrimp. Crispy outside and full of ingredients inside. Big rolls at good prices and quality. Highly satisfied!

Usually frequent this restaurant until one day I called for delivery and was told that they will not deliver my meal because I live close enough to walk over to pick up. I have a baby...who was asleep at this time...so I could not walk there. Lady on the phone was extremely rude and still simply refused to deliver after I explained to her that I cannot come at this moment. Never did she say that no one was available to deliver the food because that would have been understandable. A few hours later, I saw the cook delivering to the building next to mine.

I was really hesitant because of the bad reviews but I’m glad I ordered. The chicken and broccoli was delicious as was the house special chow fun. I ordered online and the lady called me on the phone to reconfirm the order for pickup and told me how long it would take. When I got there, the food was ready. It was all a very cordial and pleasant transaction.

I am very disgusted at this place. You might have a bad day but you should not take it out on me. Lady do you know that a lot of Chinese restaurants and others use the same plastic bag around your area? What happened was I came in and show her the name of the order. She gave me the 🛍️, there were at least two bags on the counter. After receiving the bag I was looking for the customers name to verify the order. There were none. So I ask if there's more than one order with the same bag. It can get mix up. She said is my job to label it.... Thing when south from there. I just took the 🖊️ on the counter and wrote on the bag and left. Let me say it . You can put food into the wrong bag , or can lead to missing items. Which could lead to bad customers experience. Is does me and you no good. I was kind enough to point but got a slap instead. I think 🤔 they are just too cheap to print the 📜 out and or label it.
