Kenny's Cafe
Very good small restaurant! I'm a huge fan of Asian cuisine, and I definitely enjoyed this place! Portions size is great! They respect stakes in Asian manner of cooking 👍🏻 Veggies were perfectly stir fried! Service was amazing, felt like home! And pricing was reasonable 👍🏻 My dish on the photo was $18.95, my hubby's stake was $22. The coke had free refills. We came twice, and the woman here remembered us🥰 As a sales coach, I appreciate it.
Amazing service. Employees very helpful and costumer oriented. Food is very good, also, it's good price/portion balance: they serve bigger portion than you expect. Been there twice, in the evening and in the morning next day: waitress recalled us, and offered same table. We will visit these place again, and recommend to our friends.
H. L. Peninsula Restaurant
One of the better and authentic Chinese HK restaurants in the area. Their dimsum was much better when they first opened, but the quality is still outstanding. Everything price-wise has gone up. But HL does a good job in maintaining its quality. Both lunch and dinner was fantastic and the ingredients were quite fresh. A little tip for dimsum newbies- you want to go when there is a lot of people, so the cooks keep making the dimsum items fresh. When dimsum gets cold- it's quality and taste sharply diminishes... Anyways, parking is generally okay- and it can get kind of packed here. But there is a lot of space- and also a Costco Business nearby if you need to do some shopping afterwards. The atmosphere is nice- usually a little loud with the conversations and all that's happening- but that is to be expected. I was here recently for a large family lunch meal celebration, and the seafood was 10/10! Crab, lobster, seabass- amazing. The quail was solid too, but it was the seafood that blew me away. You have to try it. I actually think their dishes are superior than their dimsum, which is saying something! Okay, enjoy and hope the photos do the dishes justice.
Great vibe and atmosphere! Love the traditional way of enjoying brunch - by ordering food for the whole table and grab random food as they pass by. Love it! However, the food is too oily and salty for my taste. Can’t eat too much otherwise will feel not so great…
Dumpling and Cajun Seafood
Service was excellent. But I got Cajun seafood combo (C2 on menu), but the crab was no clean, and even has some kind of parasites. The food is totally deep in the sauce, everything should be clean. I also got Cajun fries, and we just had a little bit of ketchup. Why they don’t let the ketchup on the table? We didn't even have enough for half the potatoes.
This Cajun and Chinese food mixed is unique and special. The food is excellent and well prepared. The dumplings are the best and very well prepared, better than other places and you have the soup inside each dumpling, which is well done. And the green string Beans was at the right tenderness. The problem is the parking… and the location is not the best
Hing Lung Cafe
I was traveling and was looking for a Chinese late night snack. That congee was mighty but a bit on the sweet side. The noodle dish is average or above average. That big fried dough not fresh so it’s all crunchy and hard. I’m sure this place can cook up some nice dishes since I was traveling and won’t be back until my next trip to South San Francisco.
Generous portion, tasty bbq pork and i like it that they are lean meat. The vegetable went well with the meat and rice. The dessert red bean soup is surprisingly good and not too sweet.
Grand Palace Seafood Restaurant 富源酒家
Came hungry, left full. Large portions, excellent flavor. Will return.
We went there around 20:45. The restaurant closes at 21:00. They still welcome us for having dinner. So we had quick orders stir-fry Chinese broccoli (kailan) with garlic, Yangzhou fried rice, dim sum and bbq pork buns. For 2 people I think it’s too much but yes I knew we ordered when we were very hungry. For me I like Kailan with garlic and fried rice. The texture of vegetable is still crispy outside but inside it is soft. It didn’t hard to chew it and it didn’t smell green as I am not a big fan of vegetables. Fried rice is good. It’s not oily and there was a strong flavor of wok. Dim sum and buns for me were ok but not the best one I have ever eaten. There is parking in front of the restaurant but it’s limited (around 3 cars can park) as it’s public parking along side of road. You can find some but maybe with a bit of walking then. Inside the restaurant was clean and have enough space. You can feel comfortable during enjoy your meal.
Hung To Seafood Restaurant
We are dim sum fans. We are delighted with the variety where it serves dishes not frequently found in other dim sum restaurants such as pig knuckles with black vinegar, congee with pork blood jelly, fried dumplings with chives. If these are exotic, they offer traditional dim sum too. We like the cozy and unassuming ambience. The waiters and waitresses are attentive and hard working but not intrusive . We recommend you try both the regular dim sum and other special offerings. Good price performance and take home many leftovers.
I like to eat dim sum but this place is a hit and miss. I ordered several plates and they made a mistake on one of them. They brought a dry tofu wrap with vegetables but I ask to have it with chicken but since I cut it the server said that I already cut it and needed to pay for it. Maybe is reasonable or not but they made the mistake and they should have serve me the correct plate. The dim sum was just ok and the porridge was too salty
New Dragon Garden
We came in at around 2pm on a Sunday. The staff was polite and hospitable, and the interior of the place was quite clean and had a homey atmosphere. We ordered the Sesame Chicken and Honey Walnut Prawn lunch specials, which included soup and a side of rice at around 12 dollars a pop. Both dishes arrived at our tables fairly quickly and we enjoyed them very much. You get plenty of chicken for the price, and the pieces are lightly fried and covered in sauce and sesame seeds. The flavor is sweet and savory, and I would definitely order it again. For the walnut prawns, you get 6 pieces for around 13 dollars. They were slightly less crispy than the chicken and the flavor also wasn't as strong, but they were still delicious. Overall, I had a great time dining at New Dragon Garden and would definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in the area.
Delicious Chinese food. Fresh ingredients with large portions. This tastes more like a modern Americanized Chinese food as opposed to traditional. The sauces are delicious and egg rolls were well done. Priced very reasonably. A great dinner option for a great price.
The Night Market
One of my favorite food spots in SSF. I've come back repeatedly for the combination pan-fried crispy noodle, the Singapore style curry rice noodle, and the buns and milk tea. I love the vibes in here, It really does feel like a night market in Hong Kong or Taiwan. Prices are reasonable, there's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, you can have your dogs at the outdoor tables.
This restaurant has some flavorful asian dishes really tasty. I try W11, which is the singapore noodles had me go back for seconds in the same day. I like the decor and layout of the eatery. Very spacious and they even have an out door patio. The menu is easy to understand. The staff are kind and friendly. Food is made to order. I recommend this restaurant.
Sky Dragon
Been coming here since 1998, when dine in was available. The service was great. Kids always loved the fish tank. Now it's take out. Food is always great. Doesn't miss. Lollipop chicken and shrimp fried rice is a must.
Big portions for lunch special. Sky dragon special chicken for $12. To - go only
Tam's Cuisine of China
No Rice? I ordered beef and broccoli had a nice chat with the owners and got home sans rice. What? I mean if it isn't included like every other Chinese place in the universe... then at least ASK me if I want to add it on... food ok, nothing to write home about. The building itself is exactly like being in China, from my experience. EXPENSIVE, especially with no Rice. Could be great... get it together people.
Updating my review. We went today 12-3-23 and I am happy to say that the food is just as good. Very expensive but the food was good. The only notable thing was the interior is definitely outdated and could use a deep overhaul clean. The soy sauce, bottle and vinegar bottles etc were sticky, which means they haven't been cleaned properly in a while. Otherwise, totally great
Chowking
I just had halo-halo at Chowking, and it totally hit the spot! What made the experience even better was the outstanding customer service from Jerlyn and Carl. They were warm, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect. It’s always a pleasure to be served by people who genuinely care about their customers. Thank you, Jerlyn and Carl, for making my visit extra special!
The place is always clean and the workers are awesome!!! They're super friendly as well and they have really good siopao, halo halo. I'm glad the chao fan is also back because it's my fave!!! Hopefully they bring chicharap back too!
Soul Rice
I have gotten delivery and take-out from Soul Rice a few times when I have friends over. The dishes are very good considering the prices. Our favorite is definitely the Truffle Beef Mushroom Fried Rice. The Chow Fun is also good. We like how the meat is cut to just the right size and has a tender texture. The Honey Walnut Prawns w/Pumpkin is too sweet for us, but the prawns are nice and big. The vegetable dishes could use a little more work. While we love the taste and cut of the eggplants in the Basil Garlic Eggplant, we don't appreciate the thick basil stems in it. The stems totally ruined the dish. A big thumbs up for the restaurant using fresh ingredients in their cooking. I might choose to dine in one of these days, and try more dishes.
The best fried rice place I’ve tried so far! You have to try their Beef Truffle Rice and Honey Prawns—so flavorful and fresh when served! Plus, the staff is incredibly nice and accommodating. 😍 I will definitely eat there again! 🥹🥰
