China One A
We’re in the area of Taylorsville for the summer. Just my wife and I. We decided to give China One a try for takeaway. We’ve been from Los Angeles to Bar Harbor and tasted our share of Chinese cuisine. From their large menu we ordered chicken cashew, egg drop soup, pork fried rice, edamame and pork egg rolls. The food was fresh and clean. The chicken cashew had generous portions of meat, carrots, celery and sauce. The soup broth was thinner in a good way, not like some that come out thick. No corn, onion or peas. Just unadulterated broth and egg. Really clean egg taste. The food was cooked in vegetable oil without being oily. One caveat: steamed white rice does not come with the entrée. You must order it off the menu (sm$4/lg$5.25). We recommend China One for authentic Chinese food; price inline with quality; its extensive menu; use of 100% vegetable oil and a Grade A sanitary inspection certificate. 4.5 stars. Enjoy!
We absolutely love the food! I am not sure why nine year-old boy hands me my money and doesn’t know how much it costs. Please remember to ask People what sauces they want with their bag of food. The mother seemed very upset when I asked for extra sauces, and nothing was included in the bag of food.

It looks like so many other quick-stop Chinese Restaurants, but that's where the similarity ends. The service was quick and friendly. The food was great and plentiful! I especially liked the eggroll. Definitely worth a return visit!
STOP cooking food, putting it away, and then reheating it when ordered. First time we ordered here, good stuff. Next time, wife's chicken was small chunks of rubber that had obviously not been made to order. Crab Rangoon also rubbery/reheated. You have lost us as customers. And I'm sure you will lose more if you make this common practice. So be happy with your 4+ rating, it won't do you much good without repeat clients---which I guarantee will dwindle if you keep this up. It's a damn shame as Chinese take out is severely limited in the area. Please change for the better.
New China Buffet
First and last time I eat at this place. Came in for the carnivore items and there were plenty. Several of the items had a much different flavor than I was accustomed but most palatable. Within a few hours after eating I started feeling nauseous. After a couple more it was obvious. Gastrointestinal distress until 5am. Beware!
Love this place for take out. Plan to try the buffet, $10.50 lunch and $12.50 dinner. Order online and always ready in 20 minutes or less. Friendly staff, clean and fresh food throughout. They even have sushi on the buffet.
China Garden Buffet
The staff is absolutely amazing. They are super friendly and they don’t hover. The food is so good. My family and I love to go here and eat. They constantly replace food and make sure it’s not sitting for to long so its always fresh. The tables are spaced nicely so you don’t feel crowded. It’s nicely lit up so it’s not dark and it truly feels welcoming. The prices are not over the top like most places are. I highly recommend you eat here. 10/10
Relaxed atmosphere. Management is wonderful. Easy to have conversations, easy access, plenty of oatking, great food.
China King
Excellent, friendly service! Delicious food!! The beef and broccoli was delicious. There was plenty of beef in the dish. The shrimp fried rice was the best fried rice I’ve had from a Chinese restaurant!! There were lots of shrimp and veggies. The flavors were all perfect! First time at this restaurant, and will certainly be back.
Good food
China One
Great food and friendly service! We eat here often because it’s usually very consistent in quality.
I’m not kidding at all when I say this “China One” is low quality. They cut corners everywhere, they buy the cheaper sauces, the smaller fortune cookies, a big portion of their fried options about quarter will be fried dough. The amount of chicken they put in is smaller compared to the “China One” in Louisville. Even the rice has the cheap frozen vegetables and they use the cheapest rice, and the egg rolls are small and with mid flavor. If you’ve read this try the Louisville “China One’ it’s the same price but better quality everything.. if your looking for good food that’s the same price as this place just try the Louisville “China One” you can thank me later
China Cafe
The food tasted hot and fresh. Chicken and broccoli were amazing and very filling. Great staff and great place to eat.
Have been coming here for years. Everything is always really good, ready fast and my order has always been correct. Good prices and portions are big
China 8
I ordered the General Tso’s Chicken with a side of fried rice, and it was a great experience! The chicken was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a nice balance of sweet and spicy flavors in the sauce. It wasn’t overly sweet like you sometimes get with General Tso's. The portion was generous, and the sauce was enough to coat all the chicken without being too heavy. The fried rice was flavorful, with a nice mix of veggies, egg, and just the right amount of seasoning. It complemented the chicken well, not too oily, and with a good texture. Overall, China 8 serves up a solid version of classic American-Chinese takeout. The prices were reasonable, and the service was fast and friendly. Great spot for a quick and tasty meal in Shepherdsville!
Ordered for the first time , broccoli chicken- was good , ordered general tso tasted like me bbq on chicken nuggets - terrible . Ordered shrimp egg foo young , was good but the gravy was watery mustard color and consistency , not what I was expecting or used to .

Got $50 worth of takeout. General Tsos chicken is cold, chewy, doesnt taste like General Tso. Its not spicy, breading is soggy. “Hibachi chicken and shrimp” looks like it came out of the microwave and has some clearish-brown mystery liquid on it. I ordered a Hong Kong roll. Its a tiny piece of tempura shrimp wrapped in about 2” solid of white rice, topped with spicy crab. $15 roll with about $0.50 cents worth of ingredients. The fried rice i had to pay extra for is not done all the way, and tastes nothing like fried rice Ive had anywhere else in my life. This place aint worth the effort it takes to open their door.
I used to eat here all the time... For the first time ever I bought my daughter Chinese food when I got mine. Luckily she stopped eating after a couple bites... I got food poisoning!!! I do not use soy sauce... The color of this chicken is literally how it came... Will never eat there again!!!
Double Dragon II
It’s been a couple of months since I last ordered food from here and I remembered enjoying the food so I ordered again tonight. I don’t know what happened but the food is terrible now. The chicken with mixed vegetables barely had any sauce but was slimy without much flavor. My partner’s bourbon chicken was dry and chewy and had way more vegetables than chicken. The cook is messing up and needs some help.
Food was very good, very tasty, not too salty, very good flavor. I called in my order but they were still working on it when I arrived, but I was just right across the street at KY Truck Plant, so I didn't have far to travel. The dumplings were very good and my husband enjoyed the noodles, it's the first time I've ordered noodles. Convenient location right around the corner from Kroger on Lagrange Rd. Everyone in the restaurant was very friendly and courteous.
China Dragon
Today, I decided to try China Dragon for lunch, a local spot for Chinese takeout in Louisville, KY. I ordered delivery, and the experience was fairly straightforward. The food had the right balance of sweet and spicy, although it leaned more toward the sweet side, which might not be everyone's preference but worked for me. The chicken pieces were crispy on the outside but tender inside, just the way I like it. The fried rice was flavorful, with a decent mix of veggies and egg, and not overly greasy. The egg rolls were crunchy and packed with vegetables, making for a satisfying bite. One small downside was the portion size of the chicken—it was good, but I would have liked a bit more meat for the price. Overall,
In the Southwest Louisville Area and needed some lunch. China Dragon did NOT DISAPPOINT!!! Wonderful Chinese food. 😊😊😊🤣
Dragon City (Formerly First Wok)
My food was NOT hot. It was cool spots mixed warm spots. The sauce was still congealed or gelled because it was colder. Spent $40! for dinner. Disappointed ORDERED AGAIN on 4/9 colder food spots and white rice is watery and mushy! BUT flavors are ok. Not satisfied with rice tasting like instant 1 minute rice mush cold
I have been going here for years. The last couple of times I have been the sauce from sweet and sour chicken has been ice cold. This last time I asked as I was picking up if they could heat up the sauce. I was told no, so I wont go back! What is sad as soon as I got home I got a pan out and heated up the sauce myself. Hope return business is what they don't want, because that is what they got.
