House of Wu
today, my friends and I went to buy roast duck, 5 ducks: 3 were cut, 2 were whole. When we got home, of the 3 cut, 2 had the breast meat (where the most meat is) taken away. I found out when my son searched for a long time but couldn't find it. We weighed the box of cut meat and the whole duck, the difference was 12oz. it's ridiculous, disappointing, if the restaurant took it away. I say this to remind you: if you buy a cut roast duck, make sure all the meat is there, nothing was taken away. BETTEST IS NO CUT. for me, I won't go back. I hate the feeling of being cheated.
Some of the best Chinese in Burnsville! Always reliable with great flavor. My boyfriend has been going here for almost twenty years. Highly recommend the crispy chicken wings, BBQ pork and vegetable rice! Take out only
5 Spice Asian Takeout
The food delivered for the low mein was very good. I'm picky about the texture of noodles not being overcooked or 2 soft they were perfect. If it wasn't for the price of lo mein when I've been to other good places that use to be from $8-$14 would be reasonable. But $17-$18 a bit high. Otherwise I'd gladly give a 5 star. I will still order or come here and there just not as often.
Top 3 Chinese place in the twin cities. However, if ordering outside their lunch menu, my meal goes from $9.95 to $25…..this is absolutely insane. I call at 2:09pm and my meal goes up 150% calling 9 minutes after 2. Also inside used to be very nice. It looks like it should be shut down now. This place is ran sooooo poorly but stay afloat due to it’s delicious food. 150% markup for the same food needs to be addressed. That is simply ignorant.
China House Zimmerman
The food is good but take out takes FOREVER. We have ordered here 3 times now, and every time it's been an extra 15 minute wait for our food (on top of the original 1 hour wait time). Ridiculous.
Food is okay but veryyy bland here. I order takeout every once in a while to support local, but am never blown away at all. Seems like a decent (slightly messy) place tho, so I might keep trying when I’m in a pinch.
House of Lo
Had takeout from here the other day. Hadn’t been here in a while and didn’t realize that takeout might be all they do now. I also made sure to bring cash but they also seem to take cards now, although you need to pay a fee. Food was good. I got the egg foo young and chow mein, and it was a bit on the salty side. Also got beef and broccoli, orange chicken, egg rolls and cream cheese wantons. Orange chicken had large chunks of chicken that they placed in a bag. The sauce was on the side. I would probably order that again. The beef and broccoli was pretty standard. The egg rolls were great. We usually order from Chin Yuen in Monticello but glad I switched it up.
The food is fantastic. Have done pick-up 3 times and always fresh and warm. Had the pleasure of meeting the owners this time which was great. Shared some laughs. I live close and will keep coming back
Aloha
Fried rice was nothing more than white rice with soy sauce. Veggies were soggy and shrimp was rubbery and smelled “off”. Will not go again.
Wow! Service was great and food was even better!
Asian Café Chinese & Sushi Grill
We had no family in town for Christmas this year, so went here to eat Christmas night. Was busy, but everyone was working hard to get us a table. Owner and daughter were so sweet and the place was very festive with the music and decorations, as well as all of the wayward people enjoying their food. The food was hot and amazing! Thankful they were open.
Reservation for 11, then added another. The Asian Cafe team was quick and responsive to accommodate our party. It was wonderful since it was like a mini family reunion. And the food was absolutely excellent, everybody had a variety of things and loved everything. The plum wine is delicious 🤤 Our sever, Savannah, superb at her craft. Checked on us at the right times, and took great care of our large group.
Chin Yuen
We ordered pickup although we ate inside once and its small but clean! We had sweet & sour chicken, veggie and chicken lo mein, cheese wontons, white rice, chicken fried rice, sesame chicken. It was all very good! My favorite was the mild sesame chicken. We really like the light noodles with the Lo Mein they use. If I was to make a suggestion to the store I would say the fried rice needs bigger pieces of onion and a lot more egg and bean sprouts in it. It is much to plain compared to other fried rice we have had. It had flavor but needed a bit more to it. Also, the cream cheese wontons are tasty, but I would take out the sugar and just use cream cheese to be traditional wontons. TRY THE DONUTS!! They are so good!! Just like the homemade my Mom used to make. Thank you for a great Birthday dinner!! We will continue to make the 45 mn trip to eat there!
Always great food with great service. Love the drive up window to pick up your order. Their monthly specials are awesome. Great price to and lots of food.
No 1 China
I know that have good food and good deals, HOWEVER, it also is a little bit hard to place an order for takeout when they do not answer their phone!! We tried to call 3 times between 6:30-7pm. If the phone number isn't right on Google, then change it! Because I'm not going to go if I can't reach them by phone, not with the price of gas! Rusty
Overall good experience. They had space to dine inside, though most people were in and out. LOTS of food for what you pay, which was a great value! I also snapped a photo of the updated pricing on the menu. Hope that helps!
Annie's Wok
Everything from Annie's Wok was a complete disappointment. The Pork Potstickers (6) seem to be lightly deep fried hours ago and reheated; they were dried and hard. The #3 Chicken Lo Mein combo has the strangest Lo Mein I've ever encountered. It was a three layer concotion of what looked and tasted like Chow Mein sauce and vegetables, a mass of thin noodles, then thin strips of stir fried chicken breast in the top; it didn't look or taste like Lo Mein from other restaurants. It came with colossally gross fried rice that looked like rice that was stir fried with only soy sauce days earlier. I spat out the rice as soon as I tasted it and threw the rest into the trash. We also had the Curry Tofu and the curry spices tasted raw and added as an afterthought into the rest of the dish. I order Chinese food from a variety of restaurants, and Annie's Wok was the worst I've ever encountered as nothing was good or even passable.
I ordered from here for the first time tonight. The price was great and the portions were generous. The staff were friendly. However, there was hardly any cream cheese in the cream cheese wontons, and the lo mein really wasn't mixed. The first half of the container was all vegetables, and the noodles were all clumped together in the bottom half. The flavor of the noodles was great, though. We really loved the egg rolls. I'm not sure I'd order from here again, though.
So Good China Restaurant
First time trying so good china restaurant, it was pretty good the egg roll was ok nothing great. The sesame chicken was good a little diffrent kind of a ketchup sauce flavor the chicken was cooked perfect with good quality chicken. The chicken and broccoli was also cooked well. The service was excellent one of the best I have encountered in awhile.
Food was great. Service was great. The atmosphere was pretty quiet, albeit it was a Thursday evening. Cost $100 for lo mein, lemon chicken, steamed dumplings, general chicken with fried rice and sesame chicken. A lot of food.
China Express I
Standard Chinese-American food. Sushi. Food is freshly prepared when you order and served hot. It's okay ... Nothing special. Good deal on Lunch Specials and Family Combination Meals. Many options to try. $10.99 Lunch Buffet Tuesday-Friday 11 am to 2 pm. Includes one can of soda. Buffet is not a big selection. Did not look appealing. Server turned off heat lamp over the food when people were not around. Was not interested in trying it. Fried rice is delicious. Egg rolls are disappointing. Good size, crispy wrapper. The inside has too much cabbage and is sour. Chunks of bright pink mystery meat inside.
Sorry, but food was Very Bland. Egg rolls not very good. Chow mein, veges were not cooked. Rice was chewy. Won't be returning. The people were nice, not very talkative. But was very disappointed in my spending of $40!!
Bill's Garden Chinese Gourmet
Flew in from CO and just experience the best Chinese food I’ve ever had in the US so far. We were in the neighborhood and caught a delicious smell of Chinese food, so we wandered around until we found this place and man, the food was as yummy as it smelled! We had cheese wontons, egg flower soup, and chicken with broccoli. The wontons had a thin delicate crispy fry on them and were filled with cream cheese, the soup had a rich broth - one of the best we’ve tried, and the sauce on the chicken with broccoli was so flavorful and the broccoli was still slightly crispy. Not sure who this chef is, but this will be a must go-to every time we’re in Minneapolis. Nice work guys! Delicious food, friendly staff, clean restaurant, at a great price. Go check them out!
Great spot for that Chinese food from your childhood small town strip mall. The atmosphere is stark at best and be prepared for some off-putting odors. Grab your food to-go if this might bother you. That being said, the food here makes it all worth while. We ordered the egg foo young and the Szechuan tofu. Service was slow, but the staff here are kind and apologetic -great people. The Szechuan sauce was the perfect balance of salty umami with a touch of sweet, and heat that creeps up on you. The veg really was cooked to perfection. Cooked through, but still a nice crunch remaining. This was my first egg foo young experience and it was great. That brown gravy is special stuff. The best part of the experience after the food, is getting the check. This place is impossibly affordable. Two people can easily split one entree and still have leftovers. If you're looking for that old school strip mall hidden gem, this place will tick that box.
