Owners were super duper nice, and the prices are great. Unfortunately the chicken katsu was....not good. It was thin, dry and mostly breading. The spicy chicken was better. The tonkatsu sauce was just bottled teriyaki sauce. I hope they get better at making chicken katsu as I really want to go here again, their prices are incredible.

I am giving it 1 stars because the service was decent enough for takeout. The general tsao chicken was sweet, the rice had too much pepper and not enough flavor. The egg rolls were small bland, and flavorless. The gyoza were over cooked and bland.

I use to work in Tacoma in late 1990s and early 2000s and came here for lunch frequently. It was good food and great service then and still is now. I moved to Oregon in 2005 and have since moved back to Pierce County. Today, April 10, 2025, I came by for the lunch special - combination plate of sweet and sour pork, pork fried rice and almond chicken. It was delicious with plenty of food...I am taking some of it home for my dinner tonight. The staff members are awesome! It was the same enjoyable experience that I remember way back when! I will - for sure - be back! :)

The service and decor is amazing. It’s classic American Chinese restaurant. They were very kind to our Sox month old. Of what we ordered my favorite was the general tso chicken. It was very crisp. We got 8/10 spicy which I liked. Hot and sour soup was pretty good. Lots of veggies in it which was tasty though different. Crab Rangoon were pretty good. My wife got Mongolian beef which was too sweet for her. We also noticed an old Sue Kidd sticker. I’m curious to see her review. We’ll be back to try more menu items.

Great lunch combo options and great prices with large portions. I got a huge plate of delicious food that would have fed 2 people for $10. I also ordered the fried egg rolls and they were definitely a house-made variety, nice and crispy with abundant filling. I particularly found the pork egg fu yung freshly fried and tasty covered with a satisfying gravy. This appears to be a multi-generational family restaurant as there were babies, young kids, 30 somethings and elderly all hanging out off the clock mid afternoon on a weekday. It was lovely to see a thriving establishment with a family working together. Note on parking: I was asked to move my vehicle twice. I had parked backed up close to the building along the curb. I was warned that sometimes people drift through the gravel parking area and vehicles have been hit. I stayed put and took my chances. There were no deterrent signs posted. If you don't want people parking at the curb, please post signage or paint instructions on the building.

It's my first time eating at this restaurant. It's a good atmosphere, with lots of parking. The service was good. As for the food, I like the honey walnut prawns and the stir-fried mixed veggies with scallops. The egg rolls were hot and crispy. Give it a try and see if you like it.

Amazing! My boyfriend and I were so impressed with everything we ordered. The portions are huge and everything was delicious. Staff was really attentive and friendly. Definitely one of our new favorite places!

I've been here four times now and the food is very delicious! Today I got a little more than usual with the intent of having leftovers for tomorrow. I ordered the ribs appetizer even though I was like, $9.99 is a lot for an appetizer? And then it showed up and I realized why. The portion is big! I was asked if I wanted the appetizer (4 ribs) or the meal (6?8? ribs) and I am glad I asked for the appetizer because the portion is enough for 1 meal alone for me. My favorite thing to get is the honey shrimp dinner combo which comes with steamed rice (+$2 for fried rice), soup, and an egg roll. The beans with garlic are also very delicious and crispy. The ribs are very sweet. The portion sizes are large and the food is delicious, I highly recommend. There's a parking lot in the back, turning left into the restaurant is a little funky. Staff members are very patient and attentive. If you want to dine in, come 1hr before closing, as they stop seating then and only do take out for the hour.

DISGUSTING!! Called and placed an order and they hung up, not confirming my name or my order. I called again to place an order and they asked why am I calling to place the same order. It’s pretty late, I figured they were tired. I proceeded with purchasing from here. I sit with my family to enjoy our dinner. Unfortunately, the chicken teriyaki is nasty. The chicken katsu combo with shrimp tempura didn’t look appetizing. It was overcooked, dry, and reheated. The shrimp was cut. It came with A1 or BBQ sauce? Disgusting. My sister could not take more than two bites. I decided to support this business and I deeply regret it. Now I can’t enjoy dinner with my family. My sister couldn’t enjoy her dinner and now her stomach hurts.

Always BIG portions, perfect for islanders like ourselves. Taste is usually an 8-9/10. Service is 10/10. The lady at the front is very friendly and funny. She’s blunt to some people, but it comes out as comical and she’s just trying to get things done fast. Just like how our food came out. It might’ve been an 8-12 min wait, but honestly only felt like a 5 min way bc it was so fast.

A 2 is generous Moody! After a 2nd try with this establishment to be fair, it was WORSE. Ordered the Almond Chicken since it was OK last time. Dry as heck! 1/4" inch thick thick and crispy as heck. NOT EDIBLE! Who do these people think they are charging what they do and producing CRAP! Photo from 2 inches away. INITIAL REVIEW: Moo Goo Gail Pan tasted OK but tinyportion for $18. Almond Chicken was OK. Now, what would be expected in Chicken Chow Mein? Yeah, CHICKEN! TWO tiny pieces no larger than my pinky tip. Basically, all I received was noodles. Safeway serves better than this in their deli. No wonder the place was empty at around 5 PM on Friday. For over $50, go somewhere else.

The food was very delicious. I can say their chow mein is probably one of the best. Prices are competitive. The service was decent. Overall clean store.

We ordered general tso's and broccoli chicken. The broccoli chicken was the best Id ever had. Not too salty and yet full of flavor. I wanted to continue eating but I was full! The general tso's on the other hand seemed like it was just sweet and sour with a little bit of spice mixed in. And my husband has eaten a lot of general tso's in his life, it's his favorite dish. It was good, but not like a typical general tso's unfortunately. The portion sizes were appropriate for the price. I would Love to go back and try other dishes but my husband on the other hand says he would rather not go back due to the general Tso's alone. They were $14 and $15 respectively.

The chicken was really good. It was cooked really well & was nice & saucy! One of my favorite dishes is Mei Fun (rice noodles) but I'm not a fan of curry, which is common. So, I was happy to see Sha Cha Mei Fun (shachar sauce.) I'll def be back for more of that! The cashier behind the counter was very sweet & kind. We were happy to wait for our food. The place is only a pickup or delivery spot, it is not a sit down restaurant, which I didn't realize, but it literally says that on the outside lol There are seats to wait for your food & it's very clean with nice plants inside.

Every time I order a bowl entree online, the side dish is not as much as the portions I would usually get when I order in store. Today’s bowl consisted of the most bland and basic chow mien and orange chicken. If you have time, a kitchen, and access to the internet, do yourself a favor and save your money by learning how to cook good chow mien and orange chicken at home. It’s 10x better and more healthier than consuming inflammatory seed oils and sub par food. Won’t be here for a while because of the inconsistency of the food.

I absolutely love this cuisine! The sweet fire chicken is amazing! I love that the food is always fresh. The service is always fast and you can get in and out in a breeze. Great place to stop in for a quick lunch or if you want to sit down with the family. And you cannot beat the prices for the portions that you get!

We always have a great lunch here. There is a large selection of main courses, both spicy and mild. We ate at 11:30 and all the food was hot and fresh. All of the dishes we had were very good. Although wait staff changes, the waitress/cashier there today was fantastic. She was quick, efficient, polite and kept all the tables cleared. This is one of the few Asian buffets I've eaten at that has an intentional, clear view of the kitchen. The fact that they show what most restaurants want to hide speaks well about them. We have always had a good experience and will be returning. I recommended everyone tries for themselves.

Great atmosphere, Polite, Friendly,Courteous staff. Clean wholesome place to eat! Would certainly recommend 👌 Your servant Ricky Jenkins Eved =Slave to the Kingdom of YAH seeker of the Derech ha Tsar/Narrow Way

When they said there food was fresh it is fresh. I love fried rice it's my favorite food and they did outstanding. If u want more than fried rice here like sea food you should come here and try it out for yourself. I say the fried rice is better than pandas express fried rice in Fayetteville. They did not disappoint a culinary student. Even if there are just paper plates not a high end restaurant they still did amazing.

Love this place and the moo shu. It is run by a lovely family that used to run a Chinese restaurant in Harrison. They are under new management. I got so much food, that I put some in the freezer for a rainy day. If you’re lucky, her middle school daughter will be there to tell you about the books she loves. How refreshing to see a child with a book. Made my night! And did I mention the moo shu? Pictured sweet & sour shrimp and moo shu

We L❤️ VE this place!! Nestled on top of a hill, surrounded by beautiful plants with such charming architecture!! Every time we order from here, the food is the best!! We went here to celebrate my birthday and got a HUGE family meal. Sesame chicken, pepper beef, chicken and broccoli, egg foo young, lo mein, and of course some egg drop soup and egg rolls. The beef was so tender it melted in my mouth! The variety of vegetables included mushrooms, carrots, bamboo shoots, onions, bell pepper, water chestnuts, snap peas, and more. Everything was super fresh and tasty. If you like the old-school, more traditional style of how chinese food is served, here's the place to go. They also have daily specials that are a little too exotic for me, but if you like seafood, this place seems to offer some unique dishes My daughter asked me to add how nice and sweet the owner is. We were also lucky enough to come on a day her little girl was helping - she was amazing! She took our orders, asked us questions, and made sure we had all that we needed. Family run and local!! Bonus!!

We moved to NWA last year. So there are so many restaurants we have yet to try. We had previously tried Mong Dynasty but weren't fans. According to Google reviews that was supposed to be the best place in Fayetteville, so we were a bit worried about how Formosa was going to be. We ended up being pleasantly surprised. They weren't very busy so we were seated and waited on right away. The lady who sat us and waited on us was super friendly and attentive. The woman who brought our food out was also super friendly. Overall, the service was great. Our food was pretty good. It wasn't the best Chinese food I've ever had in my life but it was good nonetheless. The prices were very reasonable too. I got the kung poa chicken and they cooked it exactly how I ordered it. The kung poa sauce had a good flavor. I would have liked it to be a bit more spicy but I like my stuff really spicy. My wife had the sweet and sour chicken and she really enjoyed it. We'll probably try the other places in town but we definitely felt Formosa is worth going to again.

So damn good! Orange chicken had spice and perfectly fried to be crispy and moist but not greasy. Real orange peels in the sauce! Egg rolls were so good. Fried rice had real flavor and bounce. Egg drop soup warmed us right up. Crab Rangoon’s were a bit flavorless but well cooked.

I ordered szechuan chicken after seeing photos of it containing broccoli, yet there was no broccoli or vegetables of any kind in it. I also ordered hot and sour soup, which is supposed to contain mushrooms, namely shittaki, but if not shittaki, mushrooms are always included in this soup. My soup had no mushrooms at all in it. The egg roll was typical. So, overall the meal was pretty disappointing and I won't be eating here again.
