Craving authentic Chinese cuisine in Jersey City? Look no further than Henry Wok, a long-standing local favorite offering convenient meal delivery services. While based in Jersey City, USA, we understand the desire for quality Chinese food wherever you are. This introduction is for our local users interested in exploring diverse culinary options, even those from afar, for informational purposes.

Henry Wok operates as a Chinese Restaurant with a unique twist – it's combined with a bar area. Customers who prefer to pick up their orders can enjoy a drink while waiting in a relaxed environment. The ordering process is straightforward, with a dedicated counter at the back of the establishment. Reviews consistently highlight the polite and efficient service provided by the staff.

Henry Wok is known for its reasonably priced lunch specials, with options like an entree served with pork fried rice. Popular choices include classic dishes such as General Tso's chicken and Lo Mein. While some reviewers have noted slight inconsistencies in flavor for certain dishes like the Lo Mein and occasional hardness in the rice, the overall taste is generally well-received, often being preferred over other Chinese restaurants in the Jersey City area.

It's worth noting that regular menu prices for items beyond the lunch specials are perceived by some customers as being on the higher side, with specific examples like the cost of chicken wings being mentioned. Additionally, some long-time patrons have observed a potential decrease in serving sizes over time.

Despite these points, many customers consider Henry Wok a solid choice for Chinese food, especially for lunch. The generous portion sizes for the lunch specials and the overall quality of the food are frequently praised. Some reviewers emphasize that while it might be slightly more expensive than other options, the quality and quantity offered at Henry Wok make it a worthwhile choice. The restaurant is also lauded for its friendly, quick, and consistent service, setting it apart from establishments with fluctuating quality.

For those in the Jersey City area looking for a reliable Chinese restaurant with meal delivery options, Henry Wok presents a compelling choice, balancing taste, portion size (especially during lunch), and service. This was my go-to Chinese food restaurant for years when I lived in the area. I recently passed and decided to try out their lunch to see if it still held the crown. The first thing you notice here is that this restaurant is combined with a bar. You go to the back to order and you can hang out and grab a drink at the bar while you wait or eat. The service is always good, and the lady taking orders is generally polite. The lunch menu was reasonably priced at $8.50 for an entree with pork fried rice. I ordered General Tso's and Lo mein. Everything tasted good, but the lo mein wasn't very flavorful and the rice was a bit hard. The serving sizes were good enough to satiate one. Like other Chinese restaurants in Jersey City, normal prices for other items on the menu were pretty high. For example, $8 for 4 chicken wings is crazy. The serving sizes have become smaller over the years - shrinkflation is definitely in play here. Overall, this is a solid Chinese restaurant for lunch and still tastes better than others in Jersey City that give even smaller servings. So, if I'm going to spend money on Chinese Food, this remains one of my top picks.

Personally, it's a little bit more expensive than most but it's worth it!!! They definitely give you great amount but the quality of Chinese food is superb to me. Also they are friendly quick and consistent whereas some other Chinese food some days you may get some good lomein and some other days it's like "am I in the right place?"

This place is delicious. This is what you are looking for when you want an old school chinese spot in the neighborhood. I've tried the subgum wonton soup which is labeled under "house special wonton soup", the regular wonton soup, and chicken wings and pork fried rice. Everything is seasoned well and tasted delicious. I love how they add the little pork strips to their wonton soup. Some chinese spots are cheap and dont do that anymore. The wontons taste delicious as well. The ladies working the counter are so sweet. They dont have the bone-in rib tips that i love, but thats ok. I'd gladly return.

Don’t waste your money at this place. Food is terrible and service is even worst. Would give it negative stars if possible. STAY AWAY

I ordered shrimp and broccoli and my food was delivered with the consistency of mush. The vegetables were soft. The shrimp were soft. It's like they cooked it, refrigerated it, cooked it again, and sold it warm. I don't understand. Fish restaurant used to be so good! The best thing about my recent experience is that they accept credit cards. $30 down the drain....
