Chicago China Doll

Do not order food here. Lo mein should not have a tossed salad in it. When given the choice to have a vegetable lo mein we were not aware that meant overcooked angel hair pasta and raw tomatoes. When we got home and saw it, we honestly thought it was the wrong order because who calls plain pasta with raw veggies low mein? We called them. Turns out that this is how they make it and they have to warn people about ordering it. It’s not edible. Our sesame chicken wasn’t much better. The sauce has so much salt in it we can’t eat it either. At least it looks like sesame chicken, but It’s over cooked and just plain awful. When we called to see if there was a way to get a replacement order or a refund they said this was just how the food was and that “no one complains about it” so here I am. Complaining. I’m honestly just sad. I got take out so I wouldn’t have to cook. Now that’s $33 dollars down the drain for food my dog isn’t interested in.

WORST FOOD EVER- I can’t even call it Chinese food since it’s so awful it’s offensive. We got sesame chicken and Lo-mein and it was absolutely garage so much so that we threw it in the trash as it wasn’t eatable. The lo-mein had raw tomatoes and lettuce with OVERCOOKED Angel hair and no sauce. The Sesame chicken didn’t even taste like it sesame chicken. Extremely SALTY and it had mushroom and other vegetables. Awful experience my wife is pregnant and she was crying over this.

This is the most bland and rubbish Chinese food ever tasted. Why do you have Mexicans that are not certified chefs cook your food? It’s been like 10 years since I ordered from here and this disappointed me from what I was used to even from them. I ordered combination fried rice very spicy and they served me a no salt nor spicy combo and why is the shrimp so microscopic 😐 then to make it worse I got home far from them to see the spicy chicken wings I ordered was trash they packed up for me. Even tried to take the L and this was so salty! Honestly they better have solution when I call in tomorrow because the guy I spoke with over the phone about the issue is obviously a senseless employee(excuse my language)

Zero stars! Food was SO bad it almost made me cry that a restaurant would think it's ok to serve people the low quality of food received. Rice, chicken, egg foo young, etc, everything was over cooked & tasted so old & weird. The egg foo young arrived floating in a water & oil substance. The rice was full of HARD pieces eww & the chicken was cold & old. Literally EVERYTHING went into the trash. I wish I took more pics to attach here for reference. Door Dash who delivered did make the issue right on their end, but I'm still left speechless at China Doll restaurant. I wouldn't recommend this place to animals. So disappointed.

The food itself is so yummy and authentic. I also like how they have halal options. Everything is so good here it’s my go to spot for late night Chinese takeout. I wish the place was just a little bigger and cleaner so dine in would be more possible but other than that this place is so yummy I would def reccomend
