About 1480 HK Café
Located at 25505 Northern Blvd, Little Neck, NY 11362, 1480 HK Café is a new Hong Kong style restaurant in the area. You can reach them at (347) 408-4241 or +1 347-408-4241.
This café is praised for its extensive menu, featuring a wide variety of drinks, entrees, and desserts. The interior décor is noted as being "well decorated and very well maintained," offering comfortable booth seating as well as tables. Many customers have found the staff to be "very friendly" and the service "great throughout the entire meal."
Several dishes have received high praise, including the beef chow fun, baked Portuguese chicken with spaghetti, Hong Kong style French toast (especially the peanut butter version with crushed peanuts and condensed milk), and the warm pineapple bun with butter. The shrimp toast is also commended for its crispy exterior and flavorful shrimp paste. The HK style milk tea and mixed coffee and milk tea (鴛鴦) are also mentioned positively, served in "cute mugs" with a "rich tea flavor."
However, some customers have had mixed experiences. While some relatives "LOVED their food and HK style milk tea," one reviewer found other ordered dishes to be "quite mediocre." Another concern raised was regarding the service, with a report of servers speaking primarily Mandarin and appearing impatient with customers who were not fluent, which unfortunately reminded the reviewer of service in Hong Kong.
On the positive side, one customer noted that the food was "not as heavy or salty as other HK food spots" and appreciated the clean interior with restroom facilities. Specific dishes that received mixed reviews include the Club Sandwich (fresh ingredients but salty spam, bland fries), Chicken Fillet and Fried Egg Noodles (average), Baked Tomato Pork Chop Spaghetti (tasty pork chop and chicken but small portion compared to other HK cafes), and House Special Rice Rolls (very bland and sticky with skimpy sauce, not recommended).
Overall, 1480 HK Café offers a diverse menu in a pleasant environment with generally friendly service. While some dishes are highly recommended and others receive mixed feedback, it presents a new option for those seeking Hong Kong style cuisine in the Little Neck area. Potential customers may want to consider the varied reviews when selecting dishes and be mindful of the primary language spoken by the service staff.

Customer Reviews
This new HK Café is a great new addition to the area! It has a ton of variety in both the drinks, entrees and desserts. The interior is so well decorated and very well maintained. I love the comfy booth seating but there’s also several tables as well. The staff is also very friendly and service was great throughout the entire meal. I got several of their items from the beef chow fun and baked Portuguese chicken with spaghetti to the Hong Kong style French toast and it was all delicious! All were very flavorful. I especially loved the sweets like the warm pineapple bun with butter which is a Hong Kong classic. The Hong Kong style French toast is a must get! Make sure to get the peanut butter one which has the contrast in textures from the addition of crushed peanuts. And add condensed milk to elevate it further! Also love the shrimp toast which is fried perfectly for the lovely exterior crunch and flavorful shrimp paste. Overall, a great restaurant with superb service and delicious food. I can’t wait to be back!
My relatives LOVED their food and HK style milk tea, while I found the dishes we ordered quite mediocre. Also beware of bad service: the servers spoke mandarin. My fam couldn't speak flawless and fluent mandarin. They looked very impatient when we ordered. They were annoyed when we asked for further details for the food. Bad service transported me straight back to HK. Not worth the long trip if you don't live in that area. The only good thing is their food was not as heavy or salty as other HK food spots. The interior is also pretty clean with restroom available. * Club Sandwich 公司三文治 Fresh ingredients like tomatoes and lettuce. Very salty spam meat. Fries were bland. * Chicken Fillet and Fried Egg Noodles 雞扒煎蛋出前一丁 *Baked Tomato Pork Chop Spaghetti 茄汁焗豬扒飯 Average. Small portion compared to Kong SIhk Tong and other HK cafes. Pork chop and chicken were tasty and skillfully pan-fried till crispy. * House Special Rice Rolls 混醬腸粉 Very bland and sticky. They were quite skimpy on the sauces. Don't order this. * HK Style Milk Tea 港式奶茶 * Mixed Coffee and Milk Tea 鴛鴦 Cute mugs for pictures. Rich tea flavor.
I still think the food at Marathon Cafe is very slightly better and slightly more bang for your buck but both HK style cafes offer something different so I would recommend both. The HK tea here is definitely superior albeit a bit more pricy probably because they pull it themselves. Service was great and the owner was very welcoming and chatty with customers.
It's a relatively new place in our area, so we decided to give it a try. The food was okay for the most part, but the curry was a little overpowering, and we definitely did not like it. It's very overpriced and is cash only. For a cash-only place, they do add taxes to your bill, which isn’t something we’re in favor of. Considering the overall experience, we will likely not be coming back here again.
Salty dishes. The wonton soup is salty and tastes like msg and lacks the authentic taste of broth properly made. Wonton tastes okay. Just eating the noodles alone is salty. Noodles were not cooked until it is all loose. The wonton was a bit over boiled so the skin a bit soggy. The curry rice with chicken was salty, the chicken wasn’t as tender as it can be (they didn’t marinate it properly), and quality is not very different than what you’d get from take out restaurant. Some of the rice was a bit soggy. Cash only. The milk tea is made with very strong tea. It’s okay value for an extra $1 with the rice dish as far as restaurants go.
