Zao Jun New Asian & Sushi
The two appetizers and four orders at 5:15 took a while to cook with only a few people there. They do a lot of take-out, so maybe that's the reason for the delay. The server was helpful with the kids. The meal tasts were ok. They did have a gluten-free option. They automatically added a 20% tip on. Parking was good in the back.
Everything we ordered was so good. We tried 2 appetizers, some sushi, and 2 different entrees. Portions were quite large, we took home a ton of leftovers. Prices were very reasonable. Service was a little slow, but they were really busy, and our server really did a great job managing it all. We ordered a lot of different items and drinks to try, and he put up with all of our indecisiveness and questions. We will definitely be back!!
Szechuan Gourmet
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Taste of Home! I recently visited this restaurant, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The food is authentic, fresh, and healthy, which is so hard to find these days. Every dish reminded me of the flavors and warmth of home back in China. You can tell the ingredients are high quality, and the dishes are made with care and attention to detail. From the rich flavors to the comforting atmosphere, this place is an absolute gem. I can’t recommend it enough for anyone craving real, wholesome Chinese food. I’ll definitely be coming back! Thank you D and G.
So I was looking for a new spot that served combo plates. You get an astronomical amount of food for the price compared to other spots that serve everything a la carte! I was also looking for egg rolls that weren’t skimpy and this place did not disappoint. My only criticism is that he just answered the phone “hello” at first and didn’t identify the business right away. Also the fried rice is plain and could use some green onions or veggies to give it more flavor.
Red Ruby Restaurant
We have been going to red ruby for 28+ years. Early on and before the pandemic, the food was excellent for a fair price. We usually dined in at that time, but since the pandemic, the quality of food, price and the atmosphere of the pickup area (no sit down option available) has gotten a lot worse. They are also cheating you out of meat. Take the almond chicken. Now take the breading off and you will be amazed how little chicken you are actually getting. I want to be clear, when I say the food has gone down hill, previously it was excellent. Now it is OK to semi good. My other complaint, which brought up above is the atmosphere . It is dark and carpet needs updating and the pay counter for carry out is a make shift area with a plexiglass. We will try Red Ruby again, but not anytime soon. We hoping the standards have improved the next time we go and we can resume ordering food from them.
Worst orange chicken I’ve ever had. It’s supposed to have a spicy orange taste. It’s nothing but an orange colored sauce that resembles “sweet and sour sauce.” The chicken is thickly battered. Omg. If I could give zero stars, it would be zero. And the spring roll is so greasy.
Sun China
The best around! Always delicious and plentiful. My go to of egg drop soup and general tso's chicken.
Some of the best chinese I had in awhile. Really loved the fried rice.
Asia Garden
I’ve ordered from this place many times and never had an issue. Today I ordered for delivery 3 hot and sour soups and kung pao chicken. In the photo you can see what I had almost swallowed in the first hot and sour soup. It’s a metal piece. I don’t know what it is but I think I would have been in the hospital had I swallowed it. The penny in the picture is for perspective: it wasnt in the soup
Went there for the first time last week and was very impressed. Got the Lemon Chicken and the combination rice noodle with shrimp. Both were made fresh to order. The Lemon Chicken was a large portion and was unlike most American Chinese food was NOT the least bit greasy. Noodles were tasty, fresh and also a generous portion. Will definitely go back.
Hunan Odenton
I always get take out so atmosphere IDK, but they really kind of know you after a while and they are SO FAST. The food is delicious. And it’s always delivered with a smile… I really appreciate that. The website has improved a LOT. Yeah, this place is awesome if you want great Chinese food fast and hot!
They were polite and good customer service but that’s about it. When you walk in the place is falling apart, I could never understand how a small business makes not a single attempt to make their place presentable at least by cleaning. The place has a funny smell to it and that’s when I should’ve walked away but had already paid over the phone. Unfortunately I can say it’s some of the worst Chinese takeout I’ve had in my life!! Had to go and buy something else to eat.
China House
I've eaten here for the last 25+ years. Ordered 2x since the new ownership, thinking the food the first time was just a bad day. Both times the food was mushy, underfried, undercooked vegetables, thank goodness it didn't make my family sick. No one could eat much of it before i had to go back out and get other food. Rangoon mainly cream cheese, no other taste. Chicken fried rice was about the same, more sticky. New sauces on the other meals were not well conceived, with little to no flavor, not heat on the "spicy" dishes when asked for hot. Egg rolls are terrible now. Won't be back ever again.
Customer service was amazing. However, food was not that great. Small portion for the price. Pepper steak had more of a gravy tasting sauce compared to what I’m used to. Crab Rangoon had a strong onion taste. Rice was mushy. Egg roll was pretty good. Definitely room for improvement.
Wok Express
Solid casual spot for very fast quality pickup! This is a nice solid American Chinese restaurant that has ample seeding if you want to sit but is also very fast if you want to run in and grab a plate everything is ready made. I got the wonton soup with shrimp and a one item combo. All vegetables were fresh, shrimp was excellent, wontons were jumbo! Broth was seasoned very well, definitely will go back. Fast, affordable, fresh, tasty, I would skip Yoshinoya and come here.
Price point is a good deal but after today I won’t be returning. I have becoming regularly during my lunch breaks and I usually order the soup. The soup is good, and I changed it up to a bowl here and then but today. I asked for a 1 item and she automatically grabbed a big plate and started serving right away without giving me the chance to explain I would like the bowl. I explained I do not eat big portions, I am diabetic. She gave me attitude and told me to say it right away. Instead of correcting it and explaining to me to ask for a bowl. I understand, my mistake. But, she began talking behind my back in a different language. So disrespectful to the customer and the fact that customers help bring business. At that point, I wanted to leave it was to much. She processed to charge me more because she assumed I would pay with debit card instead of asking, she then fixed it and charged me for the bigger plate. 🤦🏻♀️ I then requested chopsticks, told me Wait. I left, this is such horrible service and the price point is not bad but the quality isn’t the greatest. I will not be returning for the lack of respect and how she treats customers.
Panda Express
Only reason for the 5 stars goes to Vall. She is very on point, personable, and attentive to details. I would say if she leaves I may stop going so I hope they treat her well and keep her there.
I ordered teriyaki chicken, paid an xtra $1.25 for the peppers and Angus beef, white rice and noodles, to go. If it wasn't for the packages of teriyaki and soy sauce I asked for, then there wouldn't be any flavor at all. The cleavered chicken tasted like it was boiled in water. It tasted watery and processed, or pressed, with absolutely ZERO flavor. No flavor in the rice and noodles either. I had to use both soy sauce packets plus two more in the pantry.. my taste buds are fine, but I'm noticing a lot of takeout foods have little to no flavor anymore. I don't know if restaurants are skimping on ingredients, or just being cheap, or employee training is simply dreadful and non-existent, but it's getting to the point where I'm being forced to cook my own food at home. If fast food conglomerates feel they can take the paying public for granted, then the hell with them. Another thing is that Panda Express clearly needs to stop bothering customers with their charity donations. These charity drives go on for months at a time, hitting up customers day after day for them to round up their purchases for a donation, even if they happen to be a returning customer from earlier in the day whom already rounded up his change. What does the staff expect ...for the same customers to give money every time they walk in for a bite to eat, just so that the CEO can hob-nob with other wealthy people at the awards gala for his philanthropic ideas that bring attention to himself, with little or no mention of the store customers whom made it happen. He/She (CEO)gets an award, honorable mention, and 5-star dinner, for handing over the donations, and what does the donor customers get - tasteless food for their troubles.
Chinatown Express
WORST ALMOND CHICKEN EVER! I typically do not write reviews. In this case, it was a MUST. First time ordering, did it online and opted to pay at pick up, the website forces you to give a tip. You will get an error message if you do not tip and will not allow you to place your order. Picked up lunch and I work literally 3 mins from Chinatown. Sit down to have lunch at work since there is no seating there and it was the most DRY OVER cooked almond chicken. I could not even cut with a steak knife. The gravy was thin and watery with no flavor. Not worth the almost $14 for the almond chicken and then an additional $1tip to pick it up myself. Trust me and find a different Chinese Food facility for f your wanting Almond Chicken.
The food here was terrible. The chicken was brown and hard as if it was refried after sitting out on the counter for two days. The rice was plain and the spring roll was filled with mushy who knows what. I would never recommend anyone to eat here and anyone who does frequently and has all this good stuff to say about them must be nasty.
Sweet Asia Cafe
I haven’t had a bad experience yet. My go to’s are the Dragon and Phoenix, and the Singapore noodles. Both are really tasty with fresh veggies. I’m only giving four stars because I wish there were more authentic drink choices, and for the price of the noodles I feel like an egg roll could come with it.
This is my first time trying this place I always ride past it and I am actually really impressed. I got the house lo mein veggie spring roll and crab Ragoo
