Nucci's Italian Cafe & Pizza
So incredibly amazing. This spot has been here decades and continues to have amazing, high quality food and tastes. I had a Stromboli, which was incredible! The bread is great, too. All their sauce is home made. They also have pretty decent lunch prices for how large the plates and items are. I would recommend to anyone in North County.
! is exactly the kind of Mom and Pop business I am focusing on patronizing this coming year! We live 40 minutes away so unfortunately we can’t come as often as we would like. The food is amazing. We were seated by a hard-working young man named Ethan (he never stopped moving ALL night!) and our wonderful server was Talia. They have the ability to change the pasta type if you prefer something else. We swapped our noodles with linguine and it was delicious! We had the Penne Amatriciana and the Rigatoni Alla Toscana, both with Rosetta sauce. The chefs accidentally switched the sauces and I got the spicy one. I loved it so I recommend asking for it this way. The salads were fresh and tasty. While we were waiting for our table, a couple of nice patrons recommended the Rigatoni Alla Monte. I will definitely try that next time!
Pho House
From the get go, they lost my order. BUT...The staff was comedic, there was a steady influx of to go orders ahead of me and when I used the extra time to take photos and people watch, I just had an awesome time. For context, I ordered to go at the register... The house manager went into the back and mockingly yelled at the cooks. It was hilarious. They have been open for 3 years, the broth is rich, the ingredients they send home are fresh and FLAVORFUL. Even the noodles were perfect in the end. YOU NEED TO GO HERE.
If you're in the Vista area near Costco and spot the familiar name, 'Pho House,' you're in for a unique treat. This is a newer location, a sibling to the long-standing Pho House in Oceanside on Mission near Pit Stop Diner. The same excellent service and exceptional Vietnamese food you remember from Oceanside await you here in Vista. You'll even find some familiar faces diligently working to create a comfortable atmosphere and serve quality products. It's a unique experience that's worth a visit. There's a reason why this place has garnered so much praise. The food is not just good; it's delicious. You're in for a culinary delight, whether craving a Spring Roll or one of their fantastic soups. The broths for the soups are authentic, traditional, and superior. The amicable and attentive staff genuinely wants you to have the best experience possible. And the location? It's not just convenient, it's in the heart of the Vista Place Shopping Center, close to everything. I can't help but share my love for this place. I bring as many people as possible to this location and will continue to do so. The food, the service, the atmosphere—everything is just right. I can confidently recommend it to anyone looking for a great dining experience in Vista.
Chef Tang Chinese Cuisine / 川豫轩
After a long day at work , I stopped by for dinner, and I was not disappointed ! 👌🏽 We ordered a plate of sweet and sour pork, which was hot, fresh, and delicious ! The lemon chicken was really good 👍🏼 and also came out nice and hot . We also ordered some shrimp fried rice, which was just as delicious as all of our other choices for that night. This is a great place to eat if you are in the area , try it out !

A-One Wok
Great prices for great food that is cooked to order. Can’t ask for more from a quick and easy Chinese food place. Several vegetarian options. The service was very fast and friendly. The indoor seating is meant for quickly eating and leaving and this feels like mostly a takeout place, but I appreciated the option to eat there if you’re starving and want food now, haha. We ordered: - Orange Tofu ($11.95) ❤️ - Vegetable Fried Rice ($8.95) 👍🏼 - Szechwan String Bean ($11.95) 👍🏼 I’d highly recommend the Orange Tofu—a great vegetarian option and the orange sauce was really nice. The tofu was nice and crispy, which I really appreciate. I was also able to customize the spice level of the orange sauce to a 2 or 3 (mild) out of 10, which was perfect for me—just enough to give some flavor, but not too spicy for me to handle. The Szechwan String Beans were great. A good amount of garlic. Perhaps a bit oily, but still very good. The Vegetable Fried Rice was unremarkable flavor wise, but a solid staple. The veggies, particularly the broccoli, tasted nice and fresh and crisp and good quality.
I had never heard about this amazing place till I started working in the area. The boss bought us lunch every Friday and one of those Fridays was A one wok. It was amazing. Great teast, large portions and very friendly person on the phone. The food was always prepared fast and fresh. The owner is so nice on the phone and even nicer in person. I will always go back to this place when craving Chinese food. Thank you for being so great.
Joyee Dumpling House-Vista
My wife and I have eaten at this restaurant a few times with our family and have enjoyed it before. Today we went and my wife ordered beef hot pot. When our food arrived the dish looked different but we assumed it was correct. My wife did not like the dish and kept commenting that it didn’t taste like the last time. When our bill came it was clear they gave her the wrong meal. The meal they served her was spicy boiled beef. We made them aware and they said they couldn’t do anything about it as we had already eaten out of it. Needless to say this has negatively affected our overall experience.
This is my new favorite place for authentic Chinese/Taiwanese food. Portions are huge and food is fantastic. The place gives you Taiwanese street food vibes in a restaurant setting. Beautifully decorated place. Food comes fast and in random order, that is how you know the place is an authentic Asian restaurant.
Chin's Szechwan - Vista
My son took me there for birthday and we had an excellent time with excellent food we got the cashew chicken wonton soup some cheese wontons and everything was fresh and excellent. My husband took me there today for lunch I had cashew shrimp and he had Kung Pao three flavors for lunch they give you soup and a couple appetizers it was really good
Just placed a takeout order for 3 items. Fried rice, sweet and sour, and Mongolian beef. Total was about 60 dollars before taxes and tip. The portion sizes from this place are whack 17 bucks for one white container of fried rice? Cmon now, I don’t care how good it is. Disappointed this is our first experience here.
PanPan Wok
I got the combo C with three entrees and two sides. Chow neon, coconut shrimp, spicy chicken and short ribs. I also ordered a sesame balls order that wasn't on the line up but was ready in 5 minutes. It was all filling and delicious. I love the generous portions and delicious food. It's a keeper. Really worth the try if you're in the area.
Wonderful service and food and so so much!
Panda Express
Wow, very friendly staff and the food was delicious. I stumbled upon this location randomly looking for somewhere fast and filling for lunch, and wow did this do the trick! It was hard to stop eating long enough to take a photo. The mushroom chicken was sooooooooo good! Broccoli such a beautiful green. Lo mein delicious. Awesome place will definitely be back for work lunch hours!!!
I usually have no problem with this panda express, but these super greens are disgusting. Why would you serve someone the super greens that look like the right plate? Please don't ever do this to a customer again, it makes me never want to return. You also didn't give me my fortune cookies. Just because I said no sauce packets didn't mean I didn't want the fortune cookie!
Lucky Chinese Kitchen
Ordered a 2-item combo with the new vegetarian dish (braised Mushroom Tofu) and broccoli beef. The vegetarian mushroom tofu is a new dish, it was amazingly flavorful with lots of vegetables. The owner gave their new chili oil to try! The chili oil with crisps is well seasoned and but not overly seasoned. Spicy level is around 7-8 level. It enlightens the entire box. Love it. Will sure come back again.
Super sad this location is closed 😞 I love this place! They even have chopsticks with characters on them🥰 The owners are friendly and everything is always fresh
Thai One On
We wanted Thai food and this was open and quite close to us. We were very surprised by how good the food actually was! We got the drunken noodles and the fried rice and they were both delicious. We could've gone for a higher level of spice though. The restaurant was not super busy so we got service quite fast. The server was friendly. Lots of parking in the complex. Ambiance felt spacious and was very clean.
We ordered for delivery. Food arrived on time and kneatly packaged. We tried their Pad Thai. It includes thin rice noodles, eggs, bean sprouts, green onion, tamarind, peanuts, lime and sweet and sour sauce. Choose spice level to your liking. Mild was really mild so for those of you who prefer spicy may wanna choose higher level. Add protein- Tofu, chicken, beef, pork, shrimp, seafood combo, mock duck or real duck, Also add some sautéed veggies. Goes well with fried tofu squares. You pay extra for each protein. We liked the flavors but proportion of noodles vs veggies and protein could be better because it was mainly pad thai noodles. Other then that we enjoyed it thanks.
Ho Won Express
I have never eaten at this restaurant and because of the RUDE customer service I just received that will continue. I was hungry and decided to stop in and see what they had. An employee was mopping the floor and told me to walk where it wasn't wet. I approached their counter to see if anything interested me and there wasn't so I said I was good. As I was walking out the employee said thanks for coming in and making my floor dirty. The reason I didn't get anything to eat in the first place was because they had the exact same items as Panda Express but were more expensive, why would I eat there and I especially won't now since they are SO RUDE!!!!
A small family takeout, very welcoming. They have bowl, 2 & 3 entrée specials, the prices are very good, and they give you ALOT of food for what you are paying, and the food itself is excellent. It's a bit off the 78 on S Melrose, but worth the trek to get to. I think I've found my new Go-to Chinese place in Vista.
Kung Fu Noodle
We love this place, definitely a hidden gem in Vista. We love the green beans, the Dan Dan noodles, and green scallion pancake- we get those three every time we go. Other than that we always try a couple of different things. The potstickers are great and so are all of the dumplings- you can’t go wrong. It’s best to order family style.
People are saying their noodles are pretty good but I wasn't really impressed by the beef noodles I ordered. Gotta give credit where credit is due - the beef was above average, but the rest the bowl were average at best. However, I would highly recommend the Taiwanese fried chicken. Super large portion and tastes awesome. Very good for sharing among friends and family if you're dining as a group. I'm lukewarm on revisiting, but still I would be interested in trying out some of their other offerings some time in the future.
