I had a very unpleasant experience at this restaurant. I went in to confirm a detail from the menu since it was in Chinese, and I wanted to make sure I understood it correctly. However, when I asked, the staff responded extremely rudely and with a bad attitude, even making disrespectful comments like, ‘Can’t you read?’ It’s unacceptable to treat customers like this when they’re simply trying to clarify something. How would they feel if they went somewhere where only English is spoken and didn’t understand? Imagine someone saying, ‘Can’t you read? Don’t you understand?’ Disgraceful behavior. I definitely won’t be coming back and won’t recommend this place to anyone.
The food is very affordable here. Customers can get 4 sides and a cup of soup for $7.50. The food is good and fresh. And the eating area is clean.
Yuan Bao
I had a delightful dining experience at Yuan Boo in Sunset Park. The stir-fried noodles and Braised pig's feet were absolutely delicious. These dishes are a must-try! The restaurant offers a delectable blend of flavors, making it a go-to spot for anyone craving scrumptious Asian cuisine. I'll definitely be returning for more.
I bought 2 plates meat for $10 she told me not giving any sauce for it , must 12$ up give sauce I wish I give 0 stars
Xia Chao
This restaurant is pretty much hidden. The food is good, service was definitely on point and the pricing is good too! The salt and pepper pork chop is on point and definitely should be ordered!
I ordered a takeout malatang with 8 ingredients that cost $20. The portion size is small and not even filling for one person. However, I only received 5 of the 8 ingredients I ordered, and there were more noodles than ingredients. Also, they added other ingredients that I don't like, like the seaweed you see in the picture, bean sprouts and corn . Additionally, the beef looked like leftovers because is small like nail-sized pieces.
Seafood Island
My family is majority Taishanese immigrants so they enjoy bringing the older generation here to eat traditional Cantonese seafood dishes. You can get some pretty exotic eats here and nice comfort southern Chinese food.
No good
红苹果 Jiang’s Bistro
I had an extremely bad experience at this restaurant today. One of the staff members, a woman with small eyes (I don’t know her name), had an unbelievably rude attitude. It was like she couldn’t hear anyone speaking—she completely ignored people and only responded after being asked multiple times, and even then, she was visibly impatient, incredibly disrespectful. The food was ok,but with staff like this, I will never come back.
First time ordered food from here. Worst delivery service and food quality.I found a staple while eating. They charged me for delivery fee and the delivery guy asked for more tips. He said he wouldn't deliver if i pay the same amount again. I only ordered $9.75, he got $2.25 tips. I called the restaurant, they said i suppose to give him two to three dollars plus the delivery fee, and about the staple, They said it never happened in the restaurant.

This Fuzhou restaurant is truly a hidden treasure! The taste is amazing, every dish is amazing, the soup is rich and the ingredients are fresh, you will never forget it after eating it once. The boss is also very welcoming. Although the environment is not luxurious, it is clean and tidy. It feels like eating at a restaurant you often visit in your hometown. But I don’t know why the rating is so low, it’s really unreasonable! Maybe it’s because the location is a bit out of the way, or maybe it’s not publicized enough. But this is definitely a good restaurant worth a special trip to eat at. You will fall in love with it after eating there once. Highly recommended to all friends who like Fuzhou cuisine, don’t be scared by the ratings, come and try it for yourself, you will definitely not be disappointed!
Why have the dishes been updated again? It’s good👍
Donghai
I would like to give a negative rating if I could. I just had the worst time ever at this restaurant – seriously, they're practically scamming their customers. The prices on the menu and what they hit you with at the end? Totally different, like not even close. And when you question about it, they just shrug it off, blaming some outdated menu, and you still gotta fork over the new crazy prices. A dish that is marked to be $18 ends up costing me a whopping $45. What about the ingredients !? Definitely not fresh. I specifically checked with the waitress before I ordered the chicken soup, asking if it was made fresh in its own pot. What shows up? Reheated broth, smelling like day-old chicken. There's this lingering taste of leftover chicken that makes it the nastiest soup I've ever had. This whole experience wasn't just a letdown. It made me sick. How come this business can survive?
I had the pleasure of dining at Donghai, and it was truly a remarkable culinary experience. From the moment I entered the restaurant, I was greeted with a warm and inviting ambiance that set the stage for a delightful evening. Let's talk about the food, which was an absolute highlight. Donghai's menu offers a tantalizing array of Chinese dishes, each one bursting with flavor and authenticity. I highly recommend trying their Peking Duck; it was a masterpiece of crispiness and succulence, expertly carved tableside. The service at Donghai was exceptional. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They offered great suggestions and ensured that every aspect of our dining experience was top-notch. The attention to detail and their commitment to customer satisfaction was evident throughout the evening. Portion sizes were generous, leaving us fully satisfied, and the prices were reasonable for the quality of food and service provided. In summary, Donghai is a shining gem in the world of Chinese cuisine. Whether you're a fan of traditional dishes or looking to explore new flavors, this restaurant is a must-visit. I can't wait to return and indulge in more of Donghai's delectable offerings. Highly recommended! --- Feel free to use this review as is or personalize it with your own specific experiences and details about the Donghai restaurant.
Wang Hao
Authentic fuzhounese cuisine, the food were amazing and servers were very attentive. If I can give an extra star I would. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking to try fuzhounese food. Delicious.
Disgusting, do you see the blood? Are you supposed to eat it like that?
Wonder Life 我们川菜馆
Honestly, I don't even like Szechuan food but this place is INCREDIBLE. The meal starts out with complimentary appetizers of pickled cabbage and roasted peanuts with hot tea. These were incredible. Avoid the pods of fresh black peppercorns though, unless you want a numb mouth. We ordered spicy fish filet stew, dry pot of cauliflower, cold roast beef tongue in garlic and pepper sauce, stir-fried noodles with beef, boiled chicken in chili oil, shredded potato stir-fry salad, West Lake style beef soup 西湖牛肉羹 (cilantro, minced beef and eggs in soup), Kung Pao chicken. The beef noodles were AMAZING. The West Lake beef soup looked unassuming, but it was so warm and amazing too. We received the boiled chicken in chili oil, which was so tender and soft. The chili oil was not too spicy and it was very enjoyable. Honestly, this was the best meal we had in Brooklyn and we came upon it by accident!
Came here two times. Both time drbe food was okay. But quite over priced. The 1st time there was very little food. Also the pricing on the menus are wrong.
Fuding Wok (正宗福鼎肉片)
good
I can’t compliment the iced rice. It’s so hard. I’m still trying to quibble that it’s been too long. It’s only been 20 minutes since I asked you to pick up the meal. Your rice has become hard. The waiter’s attitude is bad.
Lao Di Fang
Ordered some delivery from them and I was happy with it. It satisfied the craving for something spicy. 👍 The spicy pot that I got came with beef slices, lamb slices, cabbage and potato. I added glass noodles, pig blood, and enoki mushrooms to it (each with an additional cost). I like that you can choose the spice level to it as well as the type of spicy. They have numbing Mala spice versus regular spicy 🌶. They also have many other kinds of soups and pots to choose from like a golden pickled pepper soup and etc. (Also, these soup pots portions are quite big 😶... probably can feed up to 2 ppl) I also recommend their pancake wraps. The wrap is something like a scallion pancake and then inside has tomato, lettuce, and egg plus whichever meat/protein you want inside. I will definitely be ordering from them again tbh.
Too salty fish, I can't understand why so much salt is put in the fish. But thank you for deliver the food.
高老庄全牛馆
Picture 3 is the first time I ate beef offal noodles, so I checked in every time I came here. Picture 1.2 is the beef offal noodles I ate today. I really don’t want to say anything about the difference. (I just want to eat beef offal noodles like the one in picture 3. Gao Laozhuang is my ideal beef offal store.) The cashier said that the chef did not prepare the food well today, but isn’t this an operation that you are familiar with every day and cannot be familiar with? Is it done with eyes closed? If I reported this situation to your cashier, could you please replenish me some offal, beef lungs, etc. instead of just ignoring the chat in the kitchen, paying the bill and saying that I will replenish it for you next time, then why don't you replenish it now? It's too perfunctory.
Very good steak soup, Muscovy duck and beef whip soup, glutinous rice cakes and vermicelli noodles
