Mongkok Dim Sum 0

Mongjok Dim Sum is as good or better than some of the Dim Sum restaurants around the Bay.

Fool me once, shame on you. I have only myself to blame for walking in here a 2nd time. I tried their sticky rice in lotus leaf last time and it was surprisingly awful. But I have a character flaw that thinks sometimes you just catch people on a bad day. I'm contemplating tossing the pork sui mai and pan fried shrimp thingies in the trash that I'm trying to choke down. Who the ckuf serves dim sum stone cold? Seriously? Their chilli paste smells funny too! How is this place still in biz?

Food is alright - standard Chinese family restaurant food. I like the red bean dessert. Service is pretty good on Tues but the restaurant was half empty. Staff was really aware and asked if we needed to change plates frequently.

Food: 3/5 Service: 3/5 Ambiance: 3/5 Overall: A standard fare Chinese restaurant. The extended review... Food: 3/5 - Went family style on this meal and got some typical pork and veggie dishes. We also had some dishes that may not be ordered so often like steamed egg and salted fish pork. All tasted pretty standard fare. Service: 3/5 - Standard service. Ambiance: 3/5 - A typical chinese restaurant vibe.

Food is still delicious as I remember eating here in early 1990 when my family lived around the block on 33rd st. Great portion of the food with decent price. The restaurant needs update or cleaning to make it more enjoyable. We’re eating while writing this review. If you want delicious and tasty Cantonese cooking at affordable prices, the could be your place. We ordered Beef Chow Mein (pan fried crispy noodles) for $10.95 and FuKien Style Fried Rice for $12.95. You can feed 3 adults or family of 4.

One of my favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. The big pros is that it open until 12PM so sometime I'm off worj at 9:30 I can go here and have something hot to eat. But sadly they don't really have much cold drink, and I really like haveling a cold ice Coke along with my meal (but they have hot tea). The food is great. Price is decent. More detail review in the photos. They have many other good dishes but as I eat here casually, I don't really take many photos. Environment and services: quite big place inside, but maybe because I eat there quite late, the service is barely there. Seasoning tray are in the middle of the dinning hall, you have to get it yourself and bring to you table. But the owner is very friendly tho. Overall, good and affordable food. Would comeback often.

Came here with the in-laws and had lunch. Foods good and it gets packed. Make sure to get here early and if you’re ordering some oven baked items, it might take a while. Def still a gem for the price it is, cash only. I enjoyed my won ton lo mien and iced lemon coke. We also ordered curry oxtail rice, baked oxtail over rice, and baked pork chop. Just a lot of people enjoying their lunch and watching the tv that they have there. Sunday football 😂🤙🏽. 10/10 I’m Chinese so I’d come back again. - iG@BlackTigerEats

What we ordered was Indonesian fried rice and ox tongue baked pasta. Tak Kee is a Hong Kong Cha Chang Tang style food at reasonable price which is the cheapest in the outer sunset area. Their Hong Kong style milk tea has a very rich tea flavor with evaporated milk added before it was served, which is a bit different from Hong Kong where you would need to add your own table sugar with your own adjustments.

Came here as a group of 11 on Sunday 1pm! We got 2 claypot rice's and 2 greens. So delicious, and they added hot broth to the crispy rice at the bottom of the claypot for extra flavor and deliciousness 😁

Don’t understand why the rating is so low?! The food is so good and the service is top notch!! Ordered wonton soup, beef and green beans and BBQ clams. I also went back to order General tzo’s chicken for my friend. Loved them all. If you’re looking for authentic Chinese food, this is the place to go.

We ordered a variety of items of the menu they were all really good but the best part is how it’s a gem of a place hidden in plain sight. We sat on the balcony and the atmosphere was just a dream. You can see a lil bit of history on the walls with all the black and white historical time captured moments as you walk up to be seated. Let them find you on the street as you walk on by and be v led to a lovely experience.

Welcome to the birth place of Chinese food as we know it in the United States! This is an authentic experience, with quality ingredients, generous portions, and friendly service. Our Dim Sum for 2 was under $100 (with automatic tip + rice wine + complimentary green tea ice cream). This is a local favorite for a reason 🥰 Tourists - if this seems steep, welcome to California. We care about our amazing service workers and we want them properly compensated for the love they put into the fresh cuisine they share with us 💗 the price reflects. Happy Lunar New Year to all who celebrate 🐍

Food is really 3 stars, but +1 for the friendly and accommodating service. The nigiri was too cold and the fish wasn't great. If you're getting sushi here, stick to the rolls. I did enjoy the SF Giants roll, which is the only time i've ever seen soft shell crab on top of a roll.

Solid Chinese food place, with good attention to detail on both the dishes I tried. The sauces are on point without being too strong, and the chicken was cooked perfectly in both cases. Presentation was good, atmosphere was quiet without being dead. I might ask that they turn off the television over the sushi bar, but that's about it. Good neighborhood go-to.

I stopped by this restaurant after attending a nearby Junkjournal event, looking for a quick bite before heading home. At first, I considered the spot next door (which was completely empty), but this place was packed with families enjoying their meals—always a good sign! I ordered the duck wonton noodle soup. The presentation was on point, and the duck itself was flavorful. However, the broth? A little underwhelming. Nothing that a couple of spoonfuls of soy sauce and chili oil couldn’t fix! Once added, the flavors instantly came to life. I asked if the soup came with vegetables, the waitress said yes, but I only saw two pieces of bok choy. When I ask for vegetables, I mean an array of vegetables. I should’ve been more specific? Service was solid—attentive staff, no complaints there. The restaurant itself, though, could use a bit of upkeep. Would I go out of my way to eat here? Probably not. But for a quick and decent wonton soup when you're already in the area? Sure! 🍜

Jade Cafe I pass this place all the time and wonder what it taste like. There’s usually a homeless guy sleeping in the front but don’t let that stop ya(lol). This place is a hidden Gem. The plates are hefty and flavors are awesomeness. -Crispy Honey walnut prawns: had this dish at other places many times and Jade Cafe gave the biggest serving along with the biggest prawns I’ve ever had from a restaurant. Must try! -Mongolian Beef: not too spicy, beef was ok but the over all flavor was spot on and the plate was hefty. Would definitely come to Jade cafe again.

The most friendly service with huge portions of delicious Chinese takeout, including free egg soup! This has become one of my favorite spots on 24th, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a reliable takeout spot.

The Lady Who Usually serves me is a really sweet lady. She is also quick, but not rushed so I have never experienced any problems with any orders. They have been in the neighborhood for awhile and I like giving my business to them as. They are the only Asian restaurant of their type for quite some distance.

This place was a nightmare, it was dirty, disgusting and unpleasant. We went in there and bought the raspberry Danish and the price was listed as 2.50 yet they charged us 3.50 for a soggy low quality Danish that probably was bought at a corner store. The store was dirty and they overcharged us. No.

I eat once, and could finish the food, was hard to eat. And today I tried the cheese danish, omg it worst danish in my life, is too sweet and sour the same time. I am sorry very bad:(

I order the Mongolian Beef with Rice Lunch Special. Good place to get a quick Chinese meal, very close to the general hospital on the corner of 24 street and Potrero.

I love this place. Good and affordable food

Food was good. They were very fast even though it was lunch time. Lots and lots of places to sit.

Good food, ready in a 1 minute, rich in protein and veggies, ~$11 for a plate. The most popular restaurant in the food court.
