Minh Ky Restaurant
This is the best beef tendon look fun I had in San Diego so far. The broth looks spicy, but it was mild and flavorful. I would order this again. Some other dishes looks good too that l am willing to try next time.
I love the food here! Duck egg noodles were great, also the chef’s special steak was amazing! Big portion with reasonable price, definitely will return.
Lotus Garden Restaurant
Great food, excellent customer service and nice ambience. Awesome prices.
Lotus is a Chinese/Vietnamese Restaurant and shares the same owners and parking lot as the Minh Huong Supermarket. Lotus is a great event center with multiple dining rooms with the ability to rent upstairs space. You can enter from the back if you park in the lot. We found the restaurant to be outdated, not as clean, the food quality and taste was mediocre and the parking was terrible. Glad we had disabled placard but had to wait because someone parked illegally which caused major chaos with 2 other cars trying to maneuver out of the way safely while backing up into the Euclid Ave. We ordered our usual go to items which would determined if we would return. Glazed walnut shrimp ($14.99): The nuts were stale. It was soft and oily. Shrimp lacking crunchy edges. Clay pot fish ($15.99) Lots of fish slices but too much skin because they were end pieces and not filets. Not complaining about the portions. This dish was consistent but they could use a new clay pot. Sweet and sour tamarind fish soup (s $19.99): we thoroughly enjoyed this soup. I would prefer a tad bit more tamarind spice but it was delicious regardless. The small size was enough to feed 4 with left overs. 3 item rice ($12.99): Vietnamese translation on the menu said “broken rice”. It was regular rice. By the look of this dish alone, I lost my appetite. The pork chops were dry, spam was over cooked and the steam egg loaf was not fresh. Combination crispy noodle ($13.99): We loved this dish. Protein included chicken, beef, seafood. Noodles were crispy and not stale. Decent flavor. Overall, very affordable and banquet size portions. I’ll have to pass based on the inconvenient parking, poor execution and lack of flavor. 2.5 stars, rounding to 3 because of the price and generous portions. Inflation in this economy is real but Lotus is able to feed many families with their price point.
Diamond Palace
Good varieties of dim sum. Kitchen dishes are good portion. Reasonable priced. Service is adequate. Go early on the weekends if you don’t want to wait for a table. They open at 9:30AM. By 11:30AM, there is usually a line.
Great dim sum, live lobsters and crab in tank, duck was outstanding. Lived in San Diego around 3 years, often trying Asian restaurants. Possibly best I have been to here so far. Excellent service although possibly a little overbearing. Good parking and nice atmosphere.
Panda Express
I come here all the time and get same thing . Plate white rice and double black angus steak which they charge extra for . Blown away on how many vegetables and barley any meat is reason for my review. I even paid for another small side of steak and once again mainly vegetables. Over price for vegetables! Zero star if I was able to.
im not the type to leave reviews usually because i also work customer service and am very understanding i dont have high expectations for fast food, this place used to be okay idk if its the new staff or something but after making us wait as usual, then getting our order wrong, they dumped out part of my plate and gave it back to me instead of replacing it, blamed us for their mistake, and after further inspection i found hair in it. never coming back, gross and rude.
Rising Dragon Chinese Restaurant
Sorry to say but this was the worst orange chicken I've ever tasted. I got to the restaurant at 11:20 thinking I would get fresh chicken and this "chicken" was extremely dry, chewy, and gross. I couldn't finish after eating only three pieces. The eggroll was also very dry. I ended up only eating the rice because the egg drop soup had no flavor. Really sad and a total waste of $10.
I visit Rising Dragon Restaurant many times. The dishes, especially the Orange Chicken and Beef Broccoli are delicious. What makes this place great is its affordability, making sure you get great value for your money. It’s the perfect takeout location for anyone. if you’re planning to shop at Ralphs or just exploring the area, I would recommend Rising Dragon Restaurant.
Wei Wei Asian Express
This was my first visit, and I came for the salt n pepper chicken wings. Counter and table service was friendly and welcoming. We also ordered the house fried rice to go with our wings. It was moist, really tasty, and flavorful without adding any soy sauce.
I love salt and pepper chicken wings. After seeing an Instagram video online about this place rivaling a National City legend, I had to check it out. I went on a Saturday afternoon. There was plenty of parking and available seating inside. I ordered a dozen wings, vegetable fried rice, and a lemon black tea. The wings were crunchy and satisfying. They were crispy without being greasy. The flavor was awesome. The tea was great and the rice was decent.
Golden House
My favorite place for salt & pepper chicken wings. Try the lunch special for a good price on perfectly fried, savory chicken wings, with garlic and green onions. Comes with rice, and no up charge for fried rice. Tried many restaurants’ fried wings over the years and this is the best.
The Food is always fresh and made to order, because it's always Hot or Steaming. Always full of Flavors, if you like Spicy ask Mr. WANG for the Chile Guerito, it is Yellow Peppers spiced and sautéed to Golden Brown, with lots of Hotness, spices and Flavor. The restaurant is always clean and so are the Restrooms. They are very prompt with bringing food to your table and always willing to bring whatever you need, drinks are always full, and they are always very Friendly and also speak Spanish, they understand it to. I always like coming here to enjoy the food and great customer service, the Food is also very Good , have been going there for about 5-10yrs.
YuJing Chinese Restaurant
TAKE OUT only. I heard good things about this restaurant, and after a couple of years, I'm here.
Food is ok, but the prices! A small/medium size container of pork fried rice is $20. They act like the tourist traps where they overcharge you since they won't see you again. It's set up to pick up from protective plexiglass windows.
Ying Li Restaurant
Love this restaurant!! Definitely gonna be our go to for Chinese food! To begin we were greeted with a smile and immediately seated! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming! This place has a great vibe! Apparently It has been here for many years and the locals love it! The family combos are reasonably priced for the quantity you get! The portions are huge! 6 of us ate until satisfied and still had leftovers,! The great flavors, fresh veggies, and entrees are incredible! Sally was our waitress and went above and beyond in great service!! We truly had an amazing dinner!! We will be back soon! The bbq pork, sizzling Szechuan chicken, were some of my favs! Plenty of parking out front.
Hands down one of the best Chinese restaurants in the city. The moment you arrive you nicely greeted with a nice welcome. If you are a meat lover or seafood lover you are in the right place. The portions are very good size. The Walnut Shrimp is tasted so good, it is the best in the San Diego! And the Fry rice , Chicken Wings Is every good too.
Wah Shing Chinese Food
This is our second time eating here and it tastes as delicious as the first! If I could give this place ten stars I would! The food is made fresh by order! It does take 15 to 20 minutes to prepare but the freshness makes it so worth it! The portions are good as well. There is a waiting area for you to sit while you wait for your food but everything is take out. The service is good! Everyone is nice. Everything is so savory it’s almost hard to stop eating!
The best salt and pepper chicken wings in SD. Don't sleep on the honey walnut shrimp either. They make everything fresh to order and they are family run. Forget Royal Mandarin and Golden Chopsticks....come down to IB!
Panda Express
Compared to other pandas expresses I've been to, this one is definitely mid, the food is not bad nor anything, is just okay, if you live on the other side of the border (like myself) is actually great if you compare it to the one in Tijuana International Airport. Otherwise it is an okay location.
Really bad service when I ask for extra that what I got and I oft more greens then food
Panda Express
Freshly prepared "fast" Chinese food in a strip mall. There are numerous choices (some healthier than others). It's good comfort food. I got a "bigger plate" with noodles and orange chicken, Bejing beef and eggplant tofu. It was hot and delicious. Servers were efficient and I was in and out in under 10 minutes.
The food is great here. I think it's better than the other Panda Express. But the service sucks. If management see this review, please do something. I order online for 5:35PM. Looks like the order missing on the queue. Someone's order for 5:45PM already there on the pick-up rack. Finally my order completed on 5:54PM. Waited for ~25 mins without certain. There're already two supervisors there with black shirt. Please consider adding one more supervisor if they can't handle the order. Thanks!
