Food was awful. The woman intentionally charged me $1 more than the menu price. Dishonest business practice
The wait can be a little long when other people's orders are ahead of yours, it's a small operation, be patient.
Xi Guan Noodle House 味皇
We were tempted to try this place since everything on the menu is cheap (honestly who would turn down cheap and good food?) The problem we had was that the food was below average. I literally tasted the MSG in the rice noodle soup (I was so thirsty afterward) and that noodle tasted like the instant one, which is dry and chewy. The curry fish ball ($8) was terrible. The texture was off and calling that watery brown liquid “curry” should be illegal. I guess the beef udon was better considering the large pieces of beef they give you. We came on a weekday and only saw one cook. There was no line before or after we ordered but our takeout still took more than 30min. Even for the cheap price I don’t think it’s worth coming back.
Xi Guan Noodle House is one of the food stalls in the Square Shopping Plaza. The older people call this food court "Sik Gai" or food street/district in Cantonese. The food court itself is dying as the vendors there don't have anyone to take over the shop. Also due to changing food preferences, majority of the customers here are older Asian folk or people looking to grab a cheap bite. This plaza will disappear one day. Amongst all of the vendors in this plaza I believe Xi Guan Noodle House is the best one. Their menu is large and their prices are really low. Their food is average to amazing depending on what you get. Dishes here range from $8-$13 and mostly consist of noodle soups, fried noodles, fried rice and just dishes to eat with white rice. During my recent visit I realized they were severely understaffed causing some customers to leave and go elsewhere. This also resulted in long wait times and almost a non existent customer service. Come here for the cheap food, but don't expect much else. My go-to order is herbal tea with crispy chow mein, BBQ Pork Wonton noodle soup or the fried rice. TLDR: Best in the food court, cheap eats, possible long wait times due to short staff.

Don't order anything with fillings, it's smelly and sour.
