5 stars. Love the huge, flavorful portions. Fav spot for won ton soup. Sometimes delivery can take a little longer bc they are a crowd favorite. 3 stars for atmosphere bc...umm...it's a grab n go kinda place. Parking lot is small and they share with nail shop and 7-11 so you may have to park on side street or Chicago Ave. I love their lo mein..just wish there were more veggies- (lunch/dinner specials) and the flat rice noodles with beef is yummy too (sm/lg order only). *Pictured is the flat noodles with beef, an egg roll and a crab ragoon.

They have fell off with the food. It's not as good anymore. Last time I went which was 2weeks ago my egg roll was dried out and hard. My egg drop soup was a lumpy gravy look and it use to be a thin liquid which was good. I don't like the lumpy gravy look or taste. My fried rice was good along with with my veggie dish. I'm not sure what's going on but hopefully Number One CHOP SUEY can get back to serving better food and please stop serving old egg rolls. There are plenty of homeless people you can give it away to instead of serving it to your paying customers.

The food here was great! The soft and savory Orange Chicken here was my favorite. It's even better than a nearby Chinese restaurant, Wanda's. Will come again!

Not sure where all the hate is coming from haha I ordered a few times from here already and they’ve been nothing but delicious! Love that they’re down the street from me

Serving absolute BLAND and disgusting trash. Not worth half the money I paid for it!. Ordered Egg drop soup and it had no green onions, no flavor and random wontons included. My double combo special with shrimp egg foo yung, mixed vegetables with a side of chicken fried rice was delivered dripping wet to my door. The mixed vegetable sauce spilled throughout the bag making packages and the egg rolls I ordered wet, the chicken fried rice was bland and Not even fried. The mixed vegetables and egg foo yung were the most edible items; Egg foo yung was large serving with big pieces of shrimp inside (though gravy was cold). Last part of order was General tso chicken with veg fried rice - husband expected low quality so he didn’t complain. Waste of money, waste of time. This used to be a good restaurant it’s not worth a 2nd chance.

China City Chinese food was horrible🤑🤑. I ordered a simple shrimp Lo- mein🤮🤮🤢 and what i got was lots of spaghetti noodles with fake shrimp🤢🤢 no sauce. I CAN'T FIND GOOD CHINESE FOOD IN MICHIGAN NOWHERE🤔🤔🤔🤢🤮🤑

I was at Beaumont Hospital dropping something off for someone late at night and I remembered that there was a White Castle on Coolidge on the other side of Woodward...key word being, was! So I asked Google Maps if there were any nearby that were still open and six minutes later I was placing the first fast food order I've placed in several years! A little while after that, I had safely returned home, but I can't say the same for those delicious fries or any of the bacon cheeseburgers w/onions! I might have to entertain the idea of storming The Castle, more often. 🤔

I wasn't greet in-just stood in line for a while until someone wanted to take my order.Service is very slow. Soda area needs mopping very bad. It took almost 20 mins for a couple of(2) sliders and cheese sticks.

I am going to this place for many years and it is still one of my favorite places for sit down Chinese. The service is always quick and friendly! While it's definitely not the most fanciest restaurant it's definitely a family-owned business that you should visit for good meal!

Ordered for pickup, but wish I'd have dined in long ago. This place has the classic Chicagoland Chinese Food taste and feel. I ordered a lunch special and the price made it seem like the portions would be tiny, so I ordered more as filler, but I ended up with lunch and dinner from the same meal. Delicious too, I've craved the scallion pancake several times since my visit -- the flavor of their dipping sauces let you know they've got some traditional tricks up their sleeves. I can't wait to try some of their Cantonese dishes.
