Broadway avenue in Millbrae CA., has many fantastic Asian restaurants to enjoy. A few friends introduced me to Wonderful nearly 10 years ago and I never forgot it. Their menu is interesting and everything tastes good. Though my personal delight is their Beef noodle soup, I like to substitute the beef with shrimp. Now the last time I had it that way, was long ago. Perhaps they don't make it with shrimp anymore, you'll have to ask if want to try that dish. A couple of more things. They do have clean restrooms, and their lunch menu is sorta incognito. You may have to request it. Wonderful is just off LA Cruz, on Broadway avenue in Millbrae CA.

A nice clean homey Chinese restaurant serving human dishes. I will say they have the best smork I ever tasted. My goal is to return and try all their dishes that have smork in it cuz it's got nice smoky flavor. We also had cilantro with shredded beef. The beef is thinly cut/sliced instead of bigger chunks. A great sign for a Chinese place. The steam egg is just like what my wife and I had back in Taiwan. Childhood memories! Another reason i would happily drive from South bay to eat here again is their dish is NOT oily like other Hunan places in South bay...or Chinese restaurants in general. It's family style restaurant and it's not exactly cheap. The quality of the dishes well justifies the price. Worth it!

Food: 3/5 Service: 3/5 Ambiance: 3.5/5 Overall: Pretty standard fare. The extended review... Food: 3/5 - We had quite the selection of food. Food was standard fare with typical Chinese dishes. Service: 3/5 - Standard service. Ambiance: 3.5/5 - We were in one of the private rooms which was pretty nice in comparison to the main hall.

TLDR: good food for good value, plus private rooms! We had some pretty great food here and they gave us a private room to sing karaoke in after. The roast pork was great and the Peking duck was crisp and juicy as well.

The food was delicious, especially the stir-fried pork ribs – highly recommended! My son and nephew loved it. The eel rice is a must-order dish. The staff were very polite, helping to refill tea and greeting guests warmly. It’s a great choice for family or friends to dine together. There are also daily special dishes. Today, we ordered the braised pork belly for just $9.90 – such a great deal!

This place is very popular for people that just got off work in nearby restaurant or stores. Because this is one of the only restaurants that opens until 1:00 a.m.. As to the food, it is your very typical of Cantonese style dishes. In terms of taste, in my opinion that they are just above average. The best part is each of their dishes are very large portions and few dishes can feed lots of people. Plus they have two good size dinner areas. This would be my go-to place for late night dinner or snacks.

TLDR: very average food for higher prices and fish wasn’t fresh 2.5 stars Everything was just ok, nothing stood out as we would want to order again. They tried to sell us fish that looked pretty dead (not fresh) which was also a no-no. Also the honey walnut shrimp outside was soggy and not crisp.

I love this place! They have the best roast duck I’ve had in this area and I love coming back to get some. We also got their char siu and crispy pork and I loved them both! The crispy pork was very crispy at the top and tender at the bottom—it’s one of the best I’ve had. We also got their egg drop soup and yang zhou fried rice and both were very tasty and flavorful. Service is fine. We got seated quickly. We waited a little to order but I think that was because they were busy on that day The inside is very much like a typical Chinese restaurant with round tables and white porcelain tea cups and plates. They have a stand in the back where they hang the roast ducks which I love because it feels very nostalgic of Chinatown. Parking: There are not a lot of parking options nearby. We luckily found some street parking

One of the best Cantonese restaurants in the Bay Area Location: very convenience but could be a challenge to find parking during dinner time Service: very attentive staff Food: omg. Every dish is just right Atmosphere: Just like any authentic Chinese gathering place 😁

We order the following: 1) Truffle roast duck - I recommend. If you like roast duck and truffle, this is your kind of dish. 2) Lobster lo mien - fresh lobster and slippery, saucy noodles. Delicious and seasoned well. Not salty. 3) Snow pea leaves - bit on the oily side, which is not my preference. I usually like it freshly tossed in the wok with garlic. 4) Tofu with sautéed ribeye steak and broccoli - I love tofu. The steak had good wok hay and very tender. I recommend this dish. Very traditional chinese restaurant. Service is OK, but the food speaks for itself. Everything was very tasty.

New management is running the restaurant and they are excellent. Overall, a wonderful experience tonight. Fantastic service. And absolutely delicious food. We really liked the cauliflower dish. And the Singaporean noodles were delicious. We also had the beef stew. The decor is brand new too.

It's a great improvement from the previous shop. Had fried noodle and oven roasted rice dishes, which were full of "wok hey" and delicious. Fair pricing with good quantity. The food really has the taste of Hong Kong, very very yummy 😎 It's a great visit and will surely come again 👍

This dim sum restaurant has changed name and the chairs have changed to more comfortable padded chairs. The lighting decoration using LED is well balanced and the dim sum has the usual plates and more specialty plates. Not enough vegetables plates for dim sum…the beef rice rolls do not have beef but a paste which is not acceptable for a reputable restaurant. The rest of the dim sum seems normal, but not exceptional…

The seats are reasonably spaced, the food is good, the taste is good, the service is good, the price is moderate, and parking is convenient. Worth a visit.

This review is long overdue. Yan has been our go to for dimsum and dinner. Their baked bbq pork buns and Portuguese’s egg tarts are outstanding. Live seafood is always fresh and reasonably priced. Love their stir fries. Everything is just consistently good! Highly recommend!

I waited a long time to have my order taken, and only because on older Chinese lady took pity on me and yelled at the waitstaff. I got there probably an hour and a half before they closed, then despite there being very few other people, it took a very long time to get what I ordered, and I felt bad staying much later than that, so I ended up getting most of it to go. The food itself is fine, if pretty overpriced for the quality and service. As for dimsum, I'll stick with the ladies on Noriega in The City. I was by myself, and still got charged a service fee. I can guarantee if I see a "service fee", I'm not tipping, especially when I got almost no service to speak of. Don't worry, I won't be back. Ah, also their "specials" are the same as the regular menu price, so I'm not sure the purpose of the extra paper menu. Gave 2 stars rather than 1, because the person who brought me the bill pointed out the service fee. It is legally required to be disclosed before customers order. 😐😑

Authentically old-school Chinese-Korean eatery. Masters of burnt onion and burnt cabbage flavors, sweet, savory. Seasonal specials written in Korean and Chinese on place mates taped to mirror walls, amazing. Sizzling Rice Soup (누룽지탕) truly sizzles, hard to find these days. 깐풍오징어, a thick crunch to calamari, tossed in sweet paprika sauce. 양장피 is flavorful and refreshing, a nice play on textures with raw cucumber, noodles, stir-fried pork and steamed shrimp. Mustard sauce tossed in tableside is a treat.

Good food, great value, and friendly service. It’s hard to find places like this still around! Love to stop in when I’m overnighting before the airport. Menu options and specials that are truly special.

Coming from LA, it was difficult to find a dim sum/Cantonese seafood restaurant and I finally found the perfect restaurant. I love this restaurant. It never fails to deliver in taste and quality. Best of all, they have great service and it’s super clean! I love that I can spend anywhere from $20 - $100 per person and always feel super happy and full! The fresh live seafood is the best and when the razor clams are in season, I’m here almost everyday! I highly recommend this place for casual dim sum or family dinner! They’re also super service dog friendly.

The overall dining experience at this Chinese restaurant was fine; however, there was a setback when one dish was delayed, keeping us waiting for nearly fifty minutes. Despite the wait, the taste was satisfactory, and the remaining service was acceptable. It's advisable to make reservations in advance, especially during peak hours when the restaurant tends to be crowded.
