AVOID THIS PLACE!!! Literally sold me days old reheated food. I could taste the refrigerator on the food. I ordered Kung Pao Shrimp with Fried Rice and it literally came out in 3-5 minutes. The egg role was refried and the inside was literally mush. It looks nice but they serve trash. The waiter was pleasant but that didn't stop him from serving me mushy old food.

I wanted to like this place because it's so close to my apartment. But it's not very good. Very few if any actual Sichuan dishes. As someone else commented, it caters to the western palate. Not very authentic. The egg drop soup tasted good, and reminded me of childhood Chinese restaurants in Delaware. But again, very western. The chicken boiled dumplings had little taste. The sauce spiced them up, though. The Kung Pao 3 ways was uninspired. The meat had a weird non-meat consistency, was a little too salty and tasted like a frozen syrup packet rather than a hand made sauce. The food came out very fast, but didn't taste reheated as some have said. But it didn't taste great, either. I imagine some of the other dishes taste better.

How do you pronounce this business? 9LB? iXlb? Is it latin? Aztec? Taiwaztec? I don’t know but I love it. Just visited this restaurant for the first time and left totally blown away. I ordered the Taiwanese cabbage, the vegetarian baos, and the steamed seafood pearls, and omg the food is so fresh. The steamed seafood pearls are the best: juicy and bouncy. The taste is beyond. The cabbage and the baos need a little dressing up with the sauce, but overall super fresh and healthy. I ordered to go and Jenny at the front was really nice in explaining the menu to me. Will definitely come back to try the fried dumplings and different baos. A++ recommend. One note: they do use a lot of plastic. I’m aware that a lot of the food is steamed and comes out super hot. Maybe there’s a different type of serving set they could phase to in the future that is less harmful for the environment.

I had seen an overwhelmingly positive review of this place and thus felt optimistic about trying it out. For one, it was over a hundred dollars for everything, which would usually be fair in Westwood, but I should have known something would be wrong with the stinginess of the sauce. They charged about 2-3 dollars for sauces (soy sauce, Sriracha, chili oil, etc), so if you decide to eat here, I just recommend bringing your sauces from home. Second, we dined in, and the food was still brought out to us in to go containers despite them having seating outdoors. This was disappointing as it felt rather wasteful. Third, there were no plates they could give us to eat right there. The actual food: My groups' order consisted of half vegetarian and half meat (shrimp and chicken). Hands down, their spring roll tasted amazing and started off the meal with high hopes, so I fully recommend that. The vegetable dumplings and vegetable bao dumlings were decent. The chicken over rice was also okay. The garlic noodles and chow mein were okay. However, the shrimp dumplings were disappointing. I would only recommend the fried shrimp dumplings. I would not recommend the rice ball dumpling as that was not good. It tasted weird. Overall, I walked away disappointed with the meal as most of it was subpar. Sure, some things didn't taste terrible, but for the portion, pricing, and flavor, I would seek out other places before coming here. For transparency, the vegetable options were typically 7 dollars for 4 dumplings. The vegetarian options were okay. However, those in my party that ate the shrimp containing dumplings developed food poisoning. This was the only meal we had had at the point of developing symptoms. Those who had eaten the shrimp had even noted a weird feeling in their stomach, which proceeded to throwing up. If you're coming to eat here, just be careful.

Happy Panda Kitchen Chinese Hot Pot

I and my friends went here frequently when I was still studying at UCLA. Now I’m in a different places, I still miss the food here. I tried different hot pots, and different drinks every time I visited here. I like the apple drink, and strawberry drink the most. For the hot pot, they have different spicy levels which is very convenient. I don’t have a preference for hot pot since I like them all. I would recommend this place

Came here with a friend for a quick bite after visiting another friend in the hospital. Food is decent and on par with any other hot pot place. It was lovely that it was actually spicy, so great for individual hot pot! You can choose between mild and spicy!

Qin West Noodle

The first time I came here on a quiet Saturday evening. The soups are really tasty and authentic. I really liked the beef noodle soup, the beef was very tender and the noodles were nice and chewy and portion size is good. I would give five stars but I'm not a fan of plastic bowls and plastic spoons. Wish they would use reusable flatware and dishware for dine-in. I think we have enough microplastics in our bodies.

Good value: Monday to Saturday 11am to 3pm lunch special with Tai ice tea for only $8.99! Free parking lot in front of the store is a big plus. The Zhajiang Noodle is delicious and the portion is big. The King Pao Chicken is a bit too salty. The environment is very spacious and comfortable. Recommend!

Sichuan Impression

The meal was absolutely delightful! The flavors were perfectly balanced, with each dish offering a unique and satisfying taste. The ingredients were fresh, and the presentation was elegant, making the whole experience visually appealing. The spices and seasoning were just right, enhancing the natural flavors without overpowering them. The service was exceptional, and the ambiance added to the overall enjoyment. Each bite was a perfect harmony of textures and tastes, leaving me eager to come back for more. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a memorable dining experience!

Authentic tastes from the Sichuan province! Delicious foods, and their spicy food was truly spicy! However, some food for example the pork belly was too sweet in my opinion, so if you are visiting that restaurant do not order their pork belly! It's way too sweet and sticky for taste. Other than that their soups were delicious, and their vegetables! Staff was all super friendly and nice! Highly recommend.

Mr. Rice

I and my friends went here frequently when I was still studying at UCLA. We sometimes ordered delivery as well. My favorite dishes were the braised chicken, and tomato noodles soup. And my favorite drink was the mung bean drink which helped me cool down my body. The restaurant was quite small, but the waiters were very nice, and the food portion was big also. I would recommend it

Tried double spicy fat beef noodles. It tastes ok. But because of person preference I would like something less salty. I may want to try pig feet rice next time.

I and my friends went here several times when I was still studying at UCLA. I really like the food here, especially the fish. The restaurant was not crowded, and it had a Chinese vibe

WORMS in the soup!!! This place is unsanitary and unethical on so many levels, do your health a favor and do not eat here. I use to be a loyal costumer ordering several times a month. Last week I placed a soup pick up order and to my surprise the soup was full of these tiny WORMS!!! I called them immediately and they offered another soup which I respectfully declined so they offered to void the charge instead. I got food poisoning and went to the hospital and the doctors told me to not it here ever again. The worst part , this place still charged me !!! Despite telling me other wise. I called to ask for a refund and they told me someone will call back. They never did. DO NOT EAT HERE if you care about your HEALTH.
