Ginger Bowls
The food is just gross. The breading is soggy and literally fell off the chicken (that’s how it already was when I opened it) I tried to cancel the delivery as soon as I saw the google reviews but it said I’d get charged the full amount anyway. This tastes like it’s the TJ Maxx of restaurants—like they get other restaurants’ leftovers sent to them and they just throw them into a bowl. It’s supposed to be orange chicken and I’ve yet to have a bite that even resembles orange anything. I’d call it a “hot mess” but it’s lukewarm at best. It sounds good in the descriptions but the fact that they aren’t even on yelp says it all..
I ordered the orange chicken bowl with added broccoli, mandarin oranges and on a bed of sweet potato noodles. Pros: tastes delicious, looks delicious, full of different veggies, and was a huge portion but maybe that's my bias since I'm tiny. Cons: expensive, took a whole hour before it was sent off with my uber, breading is soggy (where's the CRISP), and orange chicken should definitely come with the oranges. I'm confused as to why others are getting such terrible service, this is my second bowl and I've been loving it.
Monkees
The staff was friendly today, July 6th. They put lots of powdered sugar on my fried Oreo. Priced at $8.75 for three fried Oreos. They charge $0.79 for each credit card transaction. Wide selection of additional offerings make this place a great family friendly stop for a quick bite. My order was ready within three minutes!
The chicken sandwich was good but the attendant had a nasty attitude, as if i was forcing him to serve me against his will.the owner of the place should look into his attendants customer service
Trieu-Vinh Restaurant
This restaurant is terrible. Worst experience ever! You come in and the old waiter keeps asking you order the expensive food, when I ordered tea, she keeps asking me to upgrade to jasmine green tea which I don’t want. After ordering she suddenly comes over and ask me to buy things for a girls’ scouts. I say I don’t want to, then 3 min later she asks me again... We ordered three dishes, one fish and one vegetable is ok, the other one “fried mifen” is terrible, the beef they use is not fresh and very hard. And the noodle is too salty. Any the end we don’t feel very happy so tips not much, the waiter keeps asking us to add to the tips... we are so unhappy and wants to leave so we give her more money. So I write so long here asking everyone pass by do not come in eat here! Terrible! What’s more, it shows “潮汕粥粉面” but it is actually a Vietnamese restaurant! What a cheating!!!!!!! Long sentences in short: DO NOT EAT HERE!!!
Food taste meh, and it was expensive for such quality of food. I had Chow Fun and Homemade Soymilk, and it was a little bland in taste. Owner lady was pretty rude and desperate for business. She even told a sad story about herself, not sure it's that true or just a business tactic to draw customers. Will not come here again.
Panda Express
I visited this evening and ordered a two-entree plate with honey sesame chicken, orange chicken, and super greens. On my way home, I started eating, but when I got to my garage and turned on the light, I noticed a long strand of black hair in the honey chicken. I was disgusted, especially since I had already taken a bite. I returned to the store with my food, and there was a customer in line ahead of me. The manager, James, made eye contact with me but didn’t acknowledge my presence or the food container I was holding. He just stood there observing the customer interaction without engaging. When I approached the counter and asked if he was the manager, he confirmed. I explained the issue and showed him the hair in my food. Instead of apologizing, he merely looked at the plate, asked “where?”, and made no effort to take the plate or address the situation properly. He then looked around as if trying to figure out whose hair it was, involving Samantha, the employee who prepared my plate. They both started discussing how the hair couldn’t belong to any of the cooks, making it feel like they were subtly implying I was at fault. When I requested a refund, James asked if I wanted a replacement plate or something else, but I declined, saying I no longer felt comfortable eating there. Samantha then jumped in, saying they couldn’t process a refund just for the honey chicken and that they were unable to do refunds at all. Her tone was dismissive, and she even suggested giving me another portion of honey chicken from the same batch. Why would I want more food from a contaminated batch? The lack of professionalism and customer service was appalling. James displayed no leadership or empathy, and Samantha’s attitude made the situation even worse. After the continues question from Samantha of, "Well what do I want them to do?" James finally says he'll do the refund. Samantha again jumps in saying you can't do the refund for the honey chicken without refunding the whole thing. And then James says well I'll refund the whole thing. I guess once James saw I wasn't being combative he just decided to give me the refund. I don't understand why it even took all of that for me to get a refund for finding hair in my food. This experience reflects poorly on the establishment and reinforces how disheartening it is to encounter such poor customer service in Los Angeles.
All the reviews on closing early is true just got here at 9:35pm and they had already ran out of food i asked the lady if they will make more chowmein she said no that all we have what ever is out we about to close. I ask the lady behind the counter what time they close she said 10pm every day even though the hours out front say 10:30pm management should definitely start checking in on the employees here since it is a busy panda specially being next to a Metro station. This was on 11/30/24 at 9:37pm
Blazed N Glazed Teriyaki
I ordered it on postmates and had to cancel the order in no exaggeration 5 seconds after ordering it. They then claimed they were somehow already in the process of making me food and decided to charge me the full price of the food. Subhumans running this place
What I ordered vs what I received. The chicken teriyaki was looking real sad. This is a $15 bowl mind you. The fries on the side were super soggy as well.
Pick Up Stix
I’m a foodie. This place by far the worst fast food Asian restaurant I’ve ever eaten at!! They must not get a lot of customers. We had the bourbon chicken, the orange chicken, curry, fried rice & noodles. The meat dishes has an “old/ stale taste” to it. The noodles were overly soggy. Everything was overly sweet, too. Panda Express would be rated a 10 compared to this so called “Asian cuisine.” Never would I try this again or recommend it to anyone. Having flown in from Hawai’i, we were hungry & had a 2 hour layover. Thought we would try some Asian food. Wrong choice & waste of money. The kids didn’t even want to eat it, ended up throwing half of it away. We just couldn’t eat it anymore regardless of how much sriracha sauce we out on it. 🤢🤢
Went here to try and felt rushed to make a selection from the start. Then when I tried to pay I was talking to the cashier and she didn’t acknowledge me at all and kept talking to her coworkers/ laughing. Then when she realized I was waiting on her she said “sorry” then punched in my order said my total threw my receipt or in the bag didn’t say have a nice day or anything to let me know the transaction was complete. The girl was Hispanic looking and on the shorter side. I found that incredibly rude in every way. Aside from that the food was not very good. The noodles have a weird sweet taste to them.
