Little China Restaurant LA
Number one of the Jjambbong. I ordered with my coworkers, no one’s complaining. Perfect for lunch when raining, chilled, or anytime. 🤣 Wok fried jjambbong soup is something special taste. It’s kind of the fire smell also deep flavor of the broth. Must Try other foods too.
To us: this place has the best jjajangmyun I had in a long time. Because the food itself is greasy it's hard to get it wrong and everyone's flavor taste the same. But this place is not above others To others: been here for times, they all have been good To owners: everytime we go there for dinner there is always party of three who drinks and swear. It ruins the experiencen for other customers
Emporium Thai
I ordered chicken fried rice to-go from Thai Emporium, but had a chance to soak in the atmosphere while waiting. The restaurant’s dark, cozy decor creates a lovely, intimate vibe that really sets the mood. When it comes to the food, the flavors are spot on—the chicken fried rice was both tasty and bursting with authentic flavor. However, the portion size left something to be desired. For the price, I expected a more generous serving, and the small size was a bit of a disappointment. On a positive note, the staff was very friendly and attentive, which always enhances the dining experience. In summary: flavors on point, but the value for money isn’t quite there. Great ambiance and delicious food, though you’ll want to be prepared for a smaller serving than anticipated.
An intimate and cozy setting as soon as you walk in. The walls are adorned with pictures of celebrities who have dined here in the past, so I assume this place must be great! I opted for the fan favorite, pad Thai with chicken for the main course and veggie spring rolls for appetizers. I was not disappointed with either. Generous portions that are packed with flavor. The vegetables and peanuts pair well with the soft noodles. The spring rolls are golden with the right amount of crunch, and when dipped with their special sweet and sour sauce, you won't be able to stop eating! Excellent staff and very friendly service that tend to your needs. Definitely coming back here again.
Gushi
You can experience various Korean foods. The food was delicious, especially kimchi fried rice. It's close to UCLA, so there are many places where you can see. The store was supposed to be eaten outside.
Food is great but the location is pretty busy! Definitely recommend take out or grabbing your food to go. Otherwise food was delicious and portions were great. The teriyaki sauce is delicious!
Feast From The East
Wow! I got a to go order tonight after work (just started a new job in the area) and was blown away at the quality and taste of the chicken and spring rolls. Can’t wait to return. Sesame Chicken Wings - 10/10. Flavorful and fresh. Has that somewhat sticky crunch that makes you want more. Spring rolls - 10/10. A perfect bite and compliment to the chicken.
I used to go to this place religiously when I was in college. It's good to know that they still have THE best Chinese chicken salad!
Mr. Sate
Note: We are very familiar with Indonesian food. Prices were less expensive than Simpang Asia the other Indonesian restaurant nearby- but smaller portions. Also, this was more like Indonesian comfort food- not as gourmet as the other restaurant but still tasty. We are very happy with the other Indonesian restaurant and tried this out of curiosity. Ultimately if this was the only option it would be a great one but probably will just return to the other restaurant in the future.
Perfectly homey Indonesian restaurant! Really delicious food and lovely ambiance. Actually reasonable prices for once in culver while still not skimping on quantity or quality!
Kim's
AMAZING. Everything is so good and prepared excellently. Staff was so kind and greeted us pleasantly. 60 years running for a good a** reason .
Awful. We ordered Shrimp Fried Rice, Egg Foo Yun, Orange Chicken, and Chicken Eggs Rolls. When we went to go pick up the owner/worker stared at me while I was tipping. The food came out cold and not what I was expecting. Over the phone I asked for 6 chicken egg rolls, but they only gave me 3. When I told them they got the order wrong they did not offer the courtesy of 3 extra egg rolls. It would have been nice if they offered this, because our total was $90. All of the egg rolls are small, thin, and have no taste. The egg foo yun was no what we expected at all.
Feng Mao BBQ Lamb Kebab Olympic
My first time having these cumin spiced lamb skewers on a rolling grill and I LOVED it. We ordered 25 for 3 of us, which seemed like a lot but we killed it - 15 lamb, 5 chicken, 5 chicken heart(?). Wouldn’t recommend the chicken was a bit dry. The spicy lamb is actually very spicy, but also addicting so couldn’t stop. Appreciated the refillable banchan. We had to wait about 15 min. It’s a small restaurant with limited tables and the grill doesn’t cook them very fast.
Delicious skewers! We mostly got the lamb ones but also liked the pork belly. In addition to the skewers, we got the seafood pancake and the pork dumplings. Everything was fantastic and we would definitely go back again
Little Beijing
Atmosphere is very clean and neat. The moment you walk in it smells so good and the portions are excellent for the price. The food was delicious. We will definitely be back when we are in Los Angeles again.
The food here is always delicious. My kid loves it. They have great prices and they’re always friendly. They’re also really fast and the food is fresh. My only critique is that if you order delivery and you get beef broccoli you’ll receive a few pieces of beef and mostly just broccoli.
Chinatown Express
Food is good. Inexpensive and big portions. Clean inside. Parking on side and in the back. They have an A rating!
looks janky on the outside, but don’t let that scare you. it really is just another everyday, in-your-neighborhood American Chinese food place…cheap, big portions, tons of choices. you gonna get what you expect. 9.50 tax included for the one-entree combo. will get you through a working afternoon.
Oki's Dog
I came here to get the signiture item, the Oki Dog. I have had Oki Dogs before but at a location that is now closed. The Oki Dog is two hot dogs, pastrami, chili, and cheese sauce in a flour tortilla. Service here was very quick. I found the location to be extreamly clean. I found the Oki Dog to be even better than I remembered. My only warning to people is that Oki Dog is Cash Only. There is an ATM on the outside padio. I will be back again for more Oki Dog.
I tried the Pastrami sandwich and it was okay. However, I don't like my pastrami fried. Tried the Hawaiian Taco at the suggestion of another customer. I wasn't a fan, it was a little too bitter for me. The customer service was great and the restaurant was clean.
Foo-Chow Restaurant
Walnut Shrimp must to try!!! I wasn’t feeling atmosphere to be honest(probably it just me) kinda depressing. Food and service were good. Mongolian beef was kinda mid but I’d comeback to try something else I bet it’ll be good. Our order were ready in like 15 mins, portions are solid(one main dish and bowls of rice could easily feed 2)
It was kinda cool to eat at the famous Rush Hour restaurant, however it needs to be updated. It’s a little old and outdated. The food was good and it’s served family style meaning large portions. We got the dinner special with included a wonton soup, shrimp, vegetable egg roll and the main entree and rice. My husband and I shared the beef and broccoli and the shrimp and veggies. There was so much left over that I even had enough for lunch and dinner the next day!
Yang Chow Restaurant
Yang Chow lives up to the hype! I visited Yang Chow for a Saturday lunch and got seated fairly quickly, although a waiting list formed as soon as we got seated. We ordered the sizzling rice soup, which had a really unique, crunchy texture and was perfect with some chili oil; and the famed slippery shrimp. The slippery shrimp was just incredible and honestly indescribable. It’s like the most perfect American Chinese food, and the portion was big enough for two people. Would definitely return, ideally when the lines aren’t too long!
Great chinese place - very authentic and flavorful. I have had nothing like this in Europe. The potions were big with value for money!
