Hop Li Seafood Restaurant
A long time staple for good Chinese food in Chinatown. Staff is mostly attentive. The place shows its longevity as its a bit "long in the tooth." However, don't let appearence fool you. The food is always good and do try the briased string beans.
Recommended by a friend. Came here alone at lunch time. I was not the only single diner. Lots of seating. People picking up Togo orders and and large parties coming in. Very clean. Quick service but they did not speak English and not very attentive. Food was delicious. Smaller portions for the lunch specials, ordered a side of fried rice, there are no substitutes allowed. Fresh lobsters in the glass tanks. Will recommend and would likely return.
Chibiscus
great ramen, fast and friendly service, good size portions. the place is small. lovely for quick, casual dining and take out.
OMG the best Ramen and Fried rice i have ever tried!! We randomly found this little place and we did not regret it. If are looking for delicious authentic Asian food!! This is the place in Hollywood. We will keep eating here for sure! And the prices are great too for the amount of food and quality you get. Portions are huge!!!
Win Wings
🌈⃤🦋⃤ What can I say about this place? It’s new it’s clean. I have it all to myself. They gave me and my friend a discount. They have Pepsi products instead of Coke. The windows are clean. It looks like a great place already. I’m so excited that this opened up in the neighborhood. they have a nice little patio right on the corner of La Brea and Santa Monica across from the target and the owners are so nice.
This place is great! Atmosphere was really chill, dining area was clean, the staff is very friendly, and these wings taste terrific! I ordered Lemon Pepper and Mango Habenero wings; highly suggest em!
LAN NOODLE
Ok, if you're looking for an authentic Chinese noodle spot, this is it! I ordered the spicy beef noodle soup, and it was perfect! I also ordered pan-fried dumplings with chicken, and they were fantastic! I like that they give you a different option other than pork. I highly recommend this place if you're a noodle fan. They also give you the option to pick from a wide variety of noodle options. So if you're in the Hollywood area, stop by this place!
Obsessed is an understatement. I haven’t tried everything on the menu (I intend to) but they really have such high quality food. My favorite is the braised beef soup (I get thick wide noodles). Do not sleep on the fried rice! one of my fav drag queens turned me onto this place (katya) and it has not disappointed me.
Oki's Dog
I came here to get the signiture item, the Oki Dog. I have had Oki Dogs before but at a location that is now closed. The Oki Dog is two hot dogs, pastrami, chili, and cheese sauce in a flour tortilla. Service here was very quick. I found the location to be extreamly clean. I found the Oki Dog to be even better than I remembered. My only warning to people is that Oki Dog is Cash Only. There is an ATM on the outside padio. I will be back again for more Oki Dog.
I tried the Pastrami sandwich and it was okay. However, I don't like my pastrami fried. Tried the Hawaiian Taco at the suggestion of another customer. I wasn't a fan, it was a little too bitter for me. The customer service was great and the restaurant was clean.
Hong Kong Express
So I've been coming to this Chinese place so many times bc my daughter and nephew enjoy the food the Asian women know us for coming to this place often and they know my daughter does not talk yesterday I had a incident with the Asian employees My daughter is non verbal has autism spectrum disorder and she does vocal sounds and wasn't bothering anyone. My daughter was focused on her tablet the Asian manager send a coworker to tell my daughter who is 5 years old to be quiet. to stop making vocal sounds then the Asian manager came out to tell my daughter to be quiet saying exactly twice no more ahh no more ahh go ! I stand up and told her that she is diagnose with autism and that I shouldn't even be giving her an explanation about my child health if she has a problem because of my daughter making vocal sounds she has to deal with it and she shouldn't be telling a lil girl that's 5 years old to be quiet and that I'm not gonna force my daughter to be quiet if she isn't doing anything wrong that she is discriminating a child with special needs! Manager proceeded to yell at me and my child to get out. I did left to avoid further confrontation with her but I feel she discriminated my daughter for her vocal sound. The manager crossed the line by approaching a child directly. This incident occurred on 04/17/25.
I enjoy ordering take out at Hong Kong Express on Olympic Blvd in Los Angeles every so often. I order white rice and orange chicken bowl here. It's never been a problem. I wouldn't know whether workers are rude or yelling because I'm ignorant to the language and it's tone etiquette spoken by employees. That being I wouldn't avoid this place based on the amount of bad reviews for rude customers service. There are no shortage of customers for this restaurant. Regarding quality of food, it's tasty with satisfying portions in my opinion. I do enjoy ordering take out in moderation. Dining atmosphere has never appealed to me. Parking is easy.
Panda Express
I eat at this Panda Express a lot. Service: The entire staff is super cool. The manager is cool and the chefs are always down to help you out. If you get in there by 8:00 even if they don't have what you want sometimes they will cook you an extra batch. Food: The food is good but it does vary. If you look through all my pictures sometimes you get that extra fresh just cooked food and sometimes you get that must have been here over 30 minutes food. I'm a creature of habit but I would definitely recommend the beef and broccoli, the chicken and green beans, the honey sesame chicken, or the shrimp when it's available. Also last but not least I always highly recommend most people that work in customer service industry or Chef life should get a massage and if you frequent this Panda Express then you're also right next to one of the best massage therapists on the west coast healing hero hands. Just a fun fact about Burbank and this area.
Hit or miss. Sometimes the food is good, sometimes it is only ok. It's fast food so unfortunately it's hard to reach great when compared to restaurants. Especially when it is prepared before you get there for the most part. It is convenient, fast and not expensive. If any dish is low, unappealing and or does not look fresh; do not hesitate to ask how long for a fresh batch. Usually it's less than 10 minutes, if you are willing/able to wait it may just be worth it. Service 90% of the time is great, very friendly. Every once in a while someone is apathetic but luckily rarely rude. Portion sizes are hit or miss, sometimes it's not bad considering the freshness, sometines you're like I paid how much for food that has been sitting under heat lamps for who knows how long? The orange chicken isn't too consistent, I'm not sure if it's difference of chefs or not. Sometimes there is a little sauce, sometimes a lot. Sometimes it is super sweet, sometimes just right. Sometimes it is really spicy, sometimes it is just right. Almost always there is a ton of starch over relatively small pieces of chicken. Some of the smaller pieces seem like there is no chicken. The chow mein noodles are usually good, but the veggies aren't great and sometimes there seems to be as much veggies as there are noodles. The broccoli beef si ok but almost always there is too much broccoli. The beef is pretty consistent and not bad. The honey walnut shrimp is my favorite but not very consistent, almost always too little walnuts and half of the time the portion size is small even if you pay the 1.25 premium fee. The grilled chicken is consistent and a good healthy entree. Plenty of meat. The fried rice is ok, the veggies are probably frozen medley and usually very little egg. Wish there was more, really adds tonthe flavor profile.
Panda Express
Don't order for pick up. The portions for the entree items are ridiculous. I actually counted the orange chicken when I got home, and there were 4 pieces. SMH! The broccoli from the super greens was brown and nasty. I'm so disappointed because when I actually dine in, there are never any issues. But I don't like these types of games.
I recently visited Panda Express and was left quite disappointed. First off, the service took forever. I understand that restaurants can get busy, but this felt excessive. It was clear that the staff was short-handed, which made the wait even more frustrating. When we finally got our food, it felt like a bit of a gamble. Some dishes were a hit, with great flavors and freshness, while others were an utter miss—overcooked and lacking the flavor you expect from Panda Express. This inconsistency made for a very unsatisfying meal. On a positive note, I will say that the place was clean, which is always a plus. However, it’s evident that they lack effective management. A well-run establishment should be able to handle peaks in traffic and maintain a consistent quality of food. Unfortunately, it seems like this location is missing that. Overall, I was left underwhelmed and unlikely to return anytime soon.
Panda Express
I haven’t gone to Panda Express in a while, but I went Friday night and the service was really good. Everyone there works really hard. The food was good and the restaurant was clean! It was so clean! I especially loved how my drink was cold and came without ice, without having to ask. I honestly will just go to panda express more often because of this detail. Thank you Panda Express
Not sure why, but food is never fresh here. They keep the bowls super empty at all times. They make extremely small batches of popular items and let them sit. Staff seems a bit agitated if you ask them when a new batch is coming out. Even if you’re willing to wait.
Panda Express
Just left at 10:06 pm there only 4 option on the menu and they're cleaning up. I thought Google had the wrong closing time so I asked the cashier and he replied they close at 11pm today yet they're cleaning and have no other options on the menu. Most panda express I go to usually clean 15 mins before closing and offer to make a dish if it's not on the menu these guys are clowns with an hour left till Closing time. Don't bother showing up hour before they close they're already closed.
Visit 9 50pm no busy not many food left . employee attitude was rude and bad . Ask nicely but keep cut my word and answer back as annoyed robot. No arguing left I understand how people get frustrated before close the store but I had to say it. You get pay for work and I'm paying for food and service . Ps thanks for the brocoli a lot
CBS Seafood
Open early in the morning for breakfast. In Chinatown, an easy 5-8 minute walk from Union Station where we had a 1.5 layover. Not enough time to do the sit down dim sum cart breakfast, but plenty of time to order takeout and get back to the station. The pork steamed bun was the best I’ve ever had. The filling was a slightly sweet smoky pork.
I don't believe I have anything bad to say about CBS Seafood Restaurant. Visiting Los Angeles and thought this would be the perfect place to go. The price per items were very good compared to other places I have visited in my home town. I ordered (2) Steamed BBQ Pork Buns, Egg Rolls, Orange Chicken, Shrimp and Leek Dumplings, Beef Noodle, and Fried Shrimp Rolls. ALL the food that was ordered is delicious. The services was fast. Staff members were very kind and friends. Food was hot and fresh. I have provided pictures of most of the items I ordered. If anyone is in the area, would recommend stopping here. Great food at great prices.
Le Oriental Bistro
After a long day of walking, we came in instantly felt relaxed. It’s quiet inside and we’re attended right away. We ordered shrimp dumplings, sui mai, wor wanton soup and kungpow chicken. The food came out fast. The soup tasted healthy and clean. Not like other Chinese restaurants I’ve tried. 3.5/5 The shrimp dumplings were the best. 4/5 Kungpow chicken 4/5 Chicken sui mai 3/5
“The food here is delicious and perfectly suits my taste. Everything was flavorful, well-prepared, and enjoyable. Definitely recommended for anyone looking for great Chinese food!”
