Chinese Express
Just had a quick bite as you know that Asian food is my favorite in the world. I’m always in a rush but I don’t like to eat McDonald’s or Burger King. I would rather eat here any day. I was actually impressed with the food. Not in the best area not going to lie and a bunch of homeless people camped outside the location. I would at least come here once wouldn’t be my top Asian food place though. But it’s solid for fast Chinese food when you don’t have the time to wait when sitting at a restaurant. I got teriyaki and a plate combination with 2 sides. Teriyaki chicken and spicy chicken wings.
I ordered the chow mein, BBQ pork, and jalapeno chicken with two egg rolls. The good was surprisingly delicious, but the chicken was chewy and tough. The breading on the jalapeno chicken was not as crispy or as fresh as I'd have liked. The store itself, although fit with tables, is not a place to really dine in. The staff were so friendly and nice, it's hard to rate the atmosphere low.
King Chinese Food
Favorite Chinese food spot! Great portions and amazing taste. Food is not one day old. Coconut shrimps is my favorite! They have updated the menu look (the old one was faded). It has offers, buy 4 get 1 free and they have a student discount! Prices go from $9 and up.
Good food. They generously pack your plate. Sky is super friendly.
Wong's Wok Silver Lake
Don’t solely listen to the negative reviews. You have to go there yourself to find out. I really liked their salt pepper fish and curry chicken. Affordable, friendly service and portions are good.
Ordered on Uber Eats, the food made me so sick! Teriyaki chicken had 0 sauce with a weird texture, the broccoli beef was mid & orange chicken was decent. But threw it all away after my stomach let me know it wasn't happy. I'll never eat here again! Ate this 5 hours ago and I'm still laying in bed with a serious stomach ache.
Coral Reef Chinese Restaurant
Walnut shrimp and kung pao chicken. Huge portion, great value! Very friendly staff when picking up dinner.
My family and I dying there on January 25th 2025 this would have been at about 7:00 in the evening. The service was pretty good. The food was delicious. The only problem I have is that I ordered the 1/2 Roast Duck and what I received was a bunch of chopped up pieces of backbone and neck bone and 2/3 of a drumstick. I should have said something that night. Maybe I would have got a half a roast duck but it was still very delicious. If you order the 1/2 Roast Duck , make sure that's what you get.
Panda Express
This Panda Express keeps its restaurant well kept, the food looks well made and the staff is friendly. The parking lot has plenty of parking and the restaurant is wheelchair accessible. Food was good as always. Overall this restaurant did not disappoint or impressed me it was what I expected for a fast food restaurant.
Not a bad place enjoying the chow mein much more. Would like to see the cook in the back more. Soda was flat but hopefully they fixed that. Other than that not a bad experience
Panda Express
I have been to 30 different Panda Express locations in over 12 different states and this location by far is the absolute worst of all. Extremely unfriendly staff, manager who doesn’t know what he’s doing, portions poorly served, food was room temperature, my veggie was a giant piece of lettuce with two broccolis, I had diarrhea for two days. I love my panda but this was most horrifying experience. Is it Halloween already? Far from being stupandas
Quick and friendly Service as soon as I walked in. I was able to get orders for two of us and paid quickly. Offers both on street parking and parking in the rear. The entrance closest to where the order line starts is on the side and easy to access from anywhere
City Wok
When I live in North Hollywood it was the place to be, be seen and see celebs w/o being or acting star struck in the Valley 🌟 … The food was so good that you kinda got lost with how good the food taste and the atmosphere we forgot our Celeb sighting.. this & worked in the industry, so I was cool bout it😎… this was b4 Covid when u picked up ur takeout order lol. So not doing that anymore.. Anyway, it’s a gr8 place to eat in or out👩🏾🍳💋
Very thoughtful dishes with fresh vegetables & perfect ingredients!! Not only that, the staff was AWESOME!!! They honored our side dish switch request & hooked us up with two soups even though we had ordered just one -- without asking!!! Above & beyond.
Hot wok Chinese food
Solid place for cheap American Chinese takeout. Went in person to pick up. Looks like more of a takeout place but they have some seating. I do recommend calling ahead of time because there was only one worker and my order took 30ish minutes. Nevertheless he was really nice and I got two entrees, chow mein, chicken fried rice, and the fried chicken wings. He threw in a free order of rice. All of that was $45 which is crazy good nowadays. Orange chicken was solid, not heavy on the breading like some places and the sauce was well balanced with an ample orange flavor. The Mongolian beef was really good. Very tender. All around solid place if you’re craving cheap Chinese takeout.
This is the healthiest and freshest tasting Chinese I’ve had in the area. It’s worth every penny and more. Some tips for a good experience: 1.Understand and accept that the menu is out of date online and limited. He doesn’t cook pork anymore. He’s eliminated items from the menu that don’t get ordered enough, which I’m sure helps his overhead. For the some of the same reasons.. I also suggest 2. ordering in person…Do not call to order. I can understand why he could be short on the phone. This is a one man show restaurant and he’s cooking, taking payments, everything all at once it seems. 3. Be prepared to pay cash. 4. It’s all cooked to order and I usually wait ~25 minutes or less while he cooks. 5.No dining in, only takeout. So far I’ve ordered shrimp lo mein, sesame chicken, mixed vegetables, chicken fried rice, and Kung pao chicken, all were incredible. Any three of those selections + white rice were $27 total and it’s a lot of food.
Century Dragon
This is our go-to spot for Chinese food in the valley, and we’ve been coming here for over a decade. The lunch specials are a great deal, the egg drop soup is always fresh and tasty, and the orange chicken is consistently excellent. I crave the cheese wontons often haha. It’s a great place for a casual date or even a business lunch. So glad it’s still around!
Excellent lunch prices. Standard, but tasty offerings. Atmosphere is plain, but that's fine. Service is always great and food is quick. One of Burbank's best bang for your buck.
Shanghai Rose
The dim sum and General tso chicken are good but overpriced. Odd music that doesnt fit the decor-think big hair 80s manfro.
This is the second time we have been here this month. The first time experience was great. Wanted to come back to check consistency and met my expectations . We started eating before I was able to capture the food in pictures. We had to make a reservation for a party of seven and did not have any issues as we were seated straight away. I like this place since everything was fresh and love the experience of ordering instead of your traditional push cart. We were not rushed and enjoyed every moment. This is my go to place since it’s closer than going to Chinatown or SGV.
Frontier Wok Too
One of my favorite Chinese take-out places closed in downtown after 40 years of activity, and I've been looking for a substitute ever since. This might be my new spot! It looks to be family owned by very friendly people. The reason I went was for the aromatic shrimp that I saw on the menu, I tried the hot and soup, the Orange Chicken, the classic Kung Pao Chicken, and the Fried rice with Shrimp. I liked the addition of zucchini to the soup, it's the first time I see that and the soup was not too vinegary, but I would have liked it a bit more white pepper forward. The aromatic shrimp were very nice, the broccoli would have been nice if sautéed with garlic. Overall I think it's a great spot for the flavors and their prices. They also have half portions if you want to try out various dishes. It's another one of those place you might just drive by looking from outside, but you should give it a go!
We visited for dinner on a rainy day. They took our order and served us complementary soup 🍲. Foood was definitely 👌 good. Orange chicken was my favorite. (Crispy). Service was fast and excellent. Price is fare $
Rice Wok
This is my favorite place for an amazing price chinese food. The people are always so nice and the food is hot and fresh. Today I had the garlic shrimp. Amazing! I plan on trying every item on lunch menu. By the way, did I mention I drive an hour away to eat here? Parking is hard but if you can't find parking in the lot, try the street. Well worth it!
On the lunch menu ordered orange chicken plate for my daughter and mixed vegetables chicken for myself. The warning bells for me first went off when I saw a lot of dried red chili peppers and my daughter’s plate when it was served. The chicken was overdone and didn’t taste right. My daughter was embarrassed and did not want me to send it back nor complain. I brought it to the tension of the owner and he acted stupid like he didn’t understand. My mixed vegetables with chicken was OK but bland. We should’ve went to panda express would’ve been many times better
