I had an amazing lunch here with their signature hot oil sour pickled black fish m. The broth was perfectly tangy and spicy, with tender fish and just the right amount of pickled mustard greens. The portion was generous and you can chose one or for two person. You can eat as many rice as you like. Their maoxuewang is good too—rich, numbing, and packed with tender duck blood, tofu skin , chewy noodle and bean sprouts are swimming in that addictive mala broth. The service was friendly and quick, and the restaurant had a clean, relaxed atmosphere. Great value for the price too! If you’re craving Sichuan spice this place delivers!

This new place is a pure hidden gem if you love Chinese foods! Everything so fresh and the restaurant is super clean. Single portion can actually be enough for two but we still finished all. Will come back again soon!

The delicacies of the hometown are unforgettable without thinking about them. Hometown is a long-lasting nostalgia, like a cup of hot tea, which has a long lasting flavor, and the taste of steamed dumplings brings the aroma of hometown street food. The JB King had a grand opening last month. After I ordered food, they steam/cook it immediately. After about ten minutes, the hot meals were brought out. I ordered the Combination Plate #1 today, which included Steamed Dumplings, Pan Fried Pork Buns and a bowl of Congee with Century Egg and Pork. They were yummy tummy and a real relief from my homesickness. The service was great, and people work here are very nice!

This is a new opening restaurant. There is many delicious food and it is the best price I found in the area. I like the COMBO set #1 and #2. The Pan Fried Park Bun and Beef Roll are really tasty, My wife enjoin the Shrimp Egg and Chives Pocket. Strong recommend!

Had a great dine-in experience at Szechuan Chinese Restaurant! The place is newly renovated—clean, bright, and comfortable. Staff were super friendly, and the food came out fast. I had the Bigger Plate with spicy chicken skewers, yu xiang eggplant, and dry pot ribs—everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The new owner said the steam table will reopen this weekend, which means even faster service for lunch and dinner. Right now they’re in soft opening with 10% off, and it’s not too busy yet—definitely a hidden gem worth checking out before the crowds arrive!

Amazing food and service! We went during the opening week and got a 10% discount. First of all the food was delicious, wasn’t greasy or salty a lot, well flavored and done really well. The dishes are individual and good portions. There are great combinations. There are spicy and non-spicy options. The prices are good. The staff is friendly and respectful. Excellent service. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it.

My go to for Singapore style noodles since Sam Wo closed. Silky (not curry powder gritty), rice noodles just past al dente, well-seasoned with good wok hei.

Nice gem hidden away in a small strip mall. Restaurant is not your typical Asian restaurant, but more of a hybrid hot pot style with special home style dishes run by a nice friendly couple. Restaurant is not that big and our group of 9 took up the entire dining area. Their food is home style cooking with simple creative ingredients without the excessive oil or savory taste found in a typical restaurant. Prices are cheap considering the high cost of living and the amount of food you get. The menu options are minimal, but so we went with the Chef’s recommendations (some were not on the menu) for most of our selection and the Chef did not disappoint. Unlike a typical big restaurant with multiple Chef’s, the dish came out one by one allowing you to enjoy dishes slowly without the next one getting cold. We started off with a few apetizers to include a hand made fried shrimp cake, cold cut pig ears, and their free range style chicken that came with some dipping sauces. Chicken was poached just right with good fresh taste and texture. Restaurant is more towards the spicy side so if spice it not your thing, inform the Chef. The pepper pork belly chicken soup is hearty and flavorful with a good dash of pepper (Asians believe this type of soup keeps the body warm). Their fried quail was excellent with good glistening color and not too dry. Salt and Pepper shrimp had good taste but instead of using peppers, it appears they use peppers and Sichuan pepper (numbing) for a non traditional taste. The Tofu and BBQ pork is a stable that goes well with rice and reminded us of the days where we had to quickly eat a hearty rice dish and get back to work. The fish came in a big bowl with some vegetables and had some soup (felt more like a casserole) For dessert, you won’t find any mango putting. We opted for the purple glutinous rice with coconut milk, and the peach gum with coconut milk. We found the purple glutinous rice more to our liking to round out this meal.

Nice set menu and the chicken is fresh and delicious. Will try the hot pot next time

The lady is nice. They are willing to make a custom order for me that's not on the menu at all. The prices are good. The food tatses great. The servings are generally good. I've never had problems. Small family business. My usually places are kind of far, so I have them make me fried eggs with tomatoes :) Very unknown restaurant unless you go out of your way to find small restaurants, or frequently shop at the grocery store inside the building. The restaurants here should get more attention, I hope people see my review(s). I would suggest either choosing from the menu or knowing Chinese to order; English may or may not be understood. I simply have a clear picture of what I want made :) The daughter usually isn't here to help take orders, from what I've noticed. I have them make me fried egg with tomatoes because my usually place(s) are kind of far :) This place is in an area with lots of other adjacent restaurants. The restaurants I've tried have been good, but this is the place I frequently find myself at.

I found this place after a long day of work. It definitely surprised me! It’s authentic street food. It has good food, good vibe, and good music. They have a pop-up live house. Make my day! You must try the beef or lamb sandwich, wide potato noodles, and Spicy Potato. And don’t forget to order Yogurt for dessert.

The lamb sandwich (羊肉夹饼) is a must-try — packed with tender, juicy lamb and bursting with rich spices, it’s hands down one of the best I’ve had anywhere. Fantastic new dim sum spot in Monterey Park! Everything was fresh and flavorful. Service was attentive and warm without being overbearing. The space is clean with a great mom-and-pop vibe. A must-try for dim sum lovers!

We came here on David Chan's (chandavkl) suggestion. Awesome new dim sum place. Har gow and siu mai were perfectly steamed. Lots of older Chinese uncles and aunties which reminded me of the dim sum places I enjoyed as a kid.
