M Dumpling
Excellent place for restaurant made dumplings. Have eaten here several times and each time the food is excellent. Prices are reasonable. Service is excellent. You are treated like family. Parking is limited. Family friendly atmosphere. Definitely coming back again.
I fell in love with this place! Everything we had was delicious! The service was amazing, they were very welcoming and friendly. My taste buds were reading off the charts when I first bit into the steamed pork dumpling, just so savory and satisfying. Red oil Ravioli was on another level of savory dishes, just amazing. Definitely will be coming here whenever we get the chance. Can’t wait!
Home Eat汉家宴 - Fremont
Great value and yummy food! You cannot beat the price with that monthly special menu. Every successful restaurant chain has a reason, and for Home Eat, it is keeping delivering high value and bang-in-the-buck to us customers. Food wise, I am a regular visitor to other location of home eat. This shop keeps the consistence and did even better. I tried the big lamb pot this time and though with higher price tag ($65 monthly special), the amount of meat is very impressive. No regret. And it is flavorful. The country style pork is always good. Home Eat, I Cheer for you! 卷死其他店!
Food: The variety of food here is the main reason we always come to Home Eat. They have monthly specials and daily appetizers for dine in and take out as well. Service: the staff are mostly nice and they are helpful too! Ambiance: very family friendly and suitable for family style dining experience with friends.
A Plus HK Style Cafe
Excellent lunch spot. There’s a combo for one if the dishes on the list and it comes with a drink or soup. Plenty of options. The baked pork chop is good, I saw alot of people eating spaghetti too. I got the black bean spare ribs over rice. The food is in to go containers already, makes it easy to ask for a cover and bring leftover home. There was a wait during lunch time and you have to put your party on the list, the wait is short though.
It is a very Hong Kong style restaurant, with disposable containers and utensils. All the customers were Chinese; everyone of them. The seafood and mushrooms with noodle was delicious.
Shanghai Flavor
First time visit at Shanghai Flavor. On a whim, we were looking for Hong Kong Style food but ended up here, thanks to Google. We sure are glad because food was delicious and service was excellent. The server was impressed at our food selection cause it seemed like we knew what we were doing. Thanks to the reviews, we simply chose what most reviewers order. After enjoying our meal, we surveyed other guest's food selection. There's more to taste in our next visit. Looking forward to trying other entrees in the menu. It's pricey here but portions are good. We highly recommend this place.
Stumbled upon this place after playing badminton nearby—what a hidden gem! Authentic Shanghai flavors at a great price. We had 7-8 people, and it was only $22 per person—unbelievable for the Bay Area! Must-try: • Xiao Long Bao: thin skin, juicy, super flavorful • Yu Xiang Pork: well-balanced spice and tang • Salt & Pepper Ribs: crispy and addictive • Stir-fried Water Bamboo: rare to find here • Tofu Soup: warm and comforting Clean space, friendly staff. Will definitely be back!
留湘·小聚 Warm Springs店 Ping's Bistro Warm Springs-湾区首创云南菜
We came here for the lunar new year celebration. One of my colleagues is from Yunnan and testified that the Yunnan food here is authentic. We ordered mint beef, which is refreshing. The clay pot rice is the best of the day. Rice cake is not bad. A little too salty and spicy. Grilled fish has a really large portion. $150 for 5 people. $30/pp. recommend for group of people.
We ordered fried rice from this restaurant, and what happened next was truly shocking. I found a large piece of glass in my food and unknowingly bit into it. The glass shattered into three pieces, two of which are shown in the picture, while the smallest one isn’t. I felt an immediate sharp pain. And I still felt the impact for hours afterward. Can you imagine if this had happened to a child? The consequences could have been even more severe. I have already scheduled a dentist appointment to assess any potential trauma to my teeth. This kind of negligence is unacceptable, and I hope action is taken to prevent it from happening to anyone else. Be careful!!
Teo Chow Noodle Shack
Truly a delight, a bit Woke decor wise, lol, but phenomenal Won Ton Soup with Chicken, super bubbly staff, freshly prepared, clean, quick and everyone eats together almost like old style Euro spots.. Mostly Asian clientele prices it is legit Duck Fried Rice would make Gordon Ramsay giggle. Now gonna be a regular. Great rival to Home Eats, more hipster homespun ..
I don’t usually leave reviews but Teo Chow was actually one of the best Chinese restaurants I’ve gone to in the Bay Area. The broth was so flavourful and delicious. The portion size was awesome - I’m so used to getting a couple of tiny pieces of duck that are mostly bones at so many restaurants but they did not skimp out on the duck! The duck was meaty and tasty and the wontons were delicious - I had to buy a pack to take home for myself! Then the service was amazing - the girls at the counter were very friendly and kind. Will definitely be going regularly!
CA NOODLE
We ordered braised beef noodle soup, house special pork burger and the sliced pork with garlic sauce. We liked the noodle soup the best, the soup and the beef is so rich and tasty, and the noodle has the texture of hand pulled noodles. The pork burger is also yummy. The sliced pork with garlic sauce can use stronger garlic flavor though. Overall the food is a solid four star.
I recently visited CA Noodle, which left a big impression on me. The menu had a variety of traditional dishes, and I especially liked the seaweed salad with garlic. It was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with a slight garlicky touch. The hot soups were another highlight—rich, flavorful, and filling, perfect for warming up on a chilly day. The large portions are impressive. The dumplings were also delicious; they had a soft dough and were filled with savory ingredients. I recommend them to anyone who loves delicious Chinese cuisine!
General Pot
Huge menu but I'm here to rave about their spicy dry pot. It's a huge portion to be shared family style. The combination of flavor and ingredient is incredible, haven't had anything as good for quite awhile. Personally I highly recommend the spicy dry pot with intestine. You can select spicy level. Plenty of parking in the lot. 5% off if you pay cash. Typical chinese restaurant, zero ambiance and mediocre service, but that's how you know it's authentic. Expect to pay 25-30 per person.
Easily one of my favorite authentic Chinese places in the bay area. Try their dry pot. It's Chongqing style so fairly spicy but you can control spice level.
EE Home Cooking
Decent quality food, but serious issues of quantity and price. A lunch plate (with chow mein for rice substitution) was $20. The amount of food was probably the same that you would get in a panda express order. The chow mein was almost equal parts bean sprouts than noodles, and there was much less meat than vegetables in the entrees. Refilling a glass of water cost 50¢, which is pretty crazy. If you want to support a local establishment, go ahead and break the bank, but if you just want a bite to eat, you are better off saving your money and going somewhere else.
Great authentic food. Definitely coming back
Shang Cafe Fremont
The rice is very round. I’m unsure why I came here, because I don’t eat spice at all. If I liked spices, I image that I would find this experience quite enjoyable. Otherwise, I love how round and perfectly spherical the rice is.
Always amazed by the authentic Sichuan/Hunan food in homemade style and friendly waiters every time I go to this cozy restaurant. There are reasons why it’s been there for many years and still so popular.
Dragon City
The food was amazing and service was exceptional here! Kind of pricey but it's to be expected for being in downtown Pleasanton. Our server was very sweet, patient, and attentive. Everything we ordered was just delicious. Very flavorful and fresh. I regret not getting a photo of every dish we ordered! The restaurant itself was nice and clean. We will definitely return the next time we are in the area. Thank you for the great lunch!
Visited this restaurant on a rainy evening in November. Who doesn't love hot Chinese food in such weather, when you also have good vegetarian options available too. Garlic Eggplant appetizer was on the sweeter side and was cooked perfectly. Chow Mein was also very good. Kung Pao Tofu was lacked flavor and gravy. Was expecting an explosion in my mouth but there was none. Service was fast and every dish was served hot and fresh.
Yin Ji Chang Fen - Pleasanton
Cannot make it. 2 days trying 2 branches (previous one in Milpitas) and this branch is a disappointment. Congee is basically water with no Cantonese taste and dim sum tasted as it was frozen for weeks and finally cooked.
Good vibe and cure my home sick as a Cantonese. Congee was on point. Chang fen was silky smooth
