Canton Dragon Asian Grill & Bar Scottsdale
The space itself is very cute. The staff is friendly and attentive. What made me want to leave a review was the green curry chicken. It was amazing. I can’t wait to go back and get it again. It was spicy but not too spicy, it had so much flavor, I really can’t recommend it enough. My husband got general tso’s chicken, it was also very good. I didn’t get to try any of their cocktails but the drink menu definitely looked interesting (in a good way). I will absolutely be back.
This place is great. Food was delicious and the portions were generous. Service was very friendly and constantly checking on us. The calamari was great so was the garlic butter noodles. Also the shrimp toast but save room for the triple chocolate mousse dessert it’s unbelievable.
Red House
I drove 25mins to pick up my food and I was highly disappointed. This is the worst Chinese food I’ve ever eaten in my entire life. The rice was tasteless and you could tell it wasn’t made same day. The chicken wings was all soaked up in grease. Money wasted, time wasted!!! I do not recommend
This is a great place for take out. The quality of the food is really good. We’ve lived here from NY a few years ago and have been looking for good Chinese food in Scottsdale that’s close enough to where we live. We’ve tried many other places and this one has good food at reasonable prices.
Queen's Bowl Chinese Food
I think I had high expectations. I ordered shrimp egg fu yong , low main, pork egg roll and sesame chicken. The gravy taste like there was no salt used. If I'm being honest nothing taste like salt was used. I've never had Chinese food that needed any additional sodium added. My husband thought I was exaggerating until it was his turn to eat and he literally spit the food out. The egg fu yong was filled with bean sprouts. More bean sprouts than egg. The egg roll was very bland as well. I'm in total shock. I've never eaten Chinese food with no flavoring or salt used. I don't know if it was a bad night or the chef skipped a step. However, I'm highly disappointed. I couldn't finish it.
NOTE: Supposedly, the restaurant's management changed a while back. It used to be a respectable establishment, but now it's not even worth the gas to drive there. $19 for some terrible teriyaki chicken and a soda. Not gonna go there again. When I got my food, it was drowning in watery Teriyaki sauce. But somehow, the chicken itself—despite being soaked in sauce—tasted like it had been sitting on a food warmer for the past 8 hours. Devoid of texture and flavor. At least they didn't mess up the rice.
Flo's
First time here and everything was great! Service was friendly and quick, portions were huge, I recommend ordering and doing family style sharing! Food was tasty! Thats not easy to find being from N.J.!
Above average Chinese at a reasonable price. Solid Chinese food. Not the best in town and not the worst. The lemon pepper chick is decent. The chicken gets a little rubbery and the texture is not the most pleasant but has nice flavor when paired with the lemon vegetables and particularly the peppers. The restaurant is clean. The service is never great but never bad.
Red Dragon Chinese Cuisine
The staff was friendly and patient as I deliberated over the menu. Service was quick, and my food was ready in under five minutes, making it perfect for a quick bite during a busy day. The orange chicken was perfectly glazed, with a balance of sweet and tangy flavors, complemented by a slight crunch from the breading.
We ordered takeout on a whim one night and it turned out to be the best thing we could have decided to do! It was so good we came back and ate inside two nights later. It’s been so long since we’ve had Egg Foo Young and this is the only place we’ve been able to have it- and it was FANTASTIC! The kimchi fried rice was to die for too! We’re now dedicated customers- found a new regular place! :)
P.F. Chang's
We sat on the patio for happy hour and had such a great experience! Everyone we encountered was so friendly. Our waiter took great care of us and the food was delicious. Definitely coming back here for our date nights!
The atmosphere was good, and it wasn’t too busy today. We came to celebrate our anniversary, and the food was delicious. Virginia. Our Server was awesome, and she took care of us.
Mayflower Chinese Cuisine
This is a wonderful little gem place. The egg fu young is so light and delicate and the garlic chicken is a must try. The lunch specials are $8.99 and we had 5 people for lunch and it was only $55 with drinks. You have to try this place if you love authentic Chinese food!!
This place had amazing food that was cooked fresh. They brought out wanton strips with sweet and sour sauce while you wait for the mains to be done. There's nothing bad to say about it. We were seated quickly since you're able to choose where you want to sit. Fast service.
Zheng's Chinese Kitchen
Ordered Mongolian beef and got onions. Literally just a few pieces of beef. The rice is bright orange like Mexican rice. Doesn't taste like your usual fried rice. It's been a while since we've ordered here and never had a bad experience until now.
I've gotten take out twice. Chicken Kung Pao and Veggie Kung Pao are delicious. Even off the lunch menu the servings are big enough for me to have 2 meals. The fried rice is also really good! I'll definitely go back!
Big Buddha Restaurant
Based on the other reviews, we either visited on an off night, or have entirely different taste buds than the other reviewers. There was a 40 minute wait; so the hostess was suggesting take out to everyone who came in. We decided to do that. The orange chicken’s flavor was great but the chicken was so rubbery we couldn’t eat it. The fried rice was so incredibly over oiled it was just complete grease. We ended up tossing all $56 worth of food and cooking at home. We were so looking forward to this based on the reviews so I hope it may have had something to do with how busy they were and isn’t the norm.
Just ordered take out. I got the shrimp fried rice, hot and sour soup and egg rolls. Super disappointed with the egg rolls! They seem to have been double fried as if they were laying around for a while and they decided to refry them (see photo). They were so hard and burned! I had to toss them as they were disgusting. The soup was ok. Not spicy at all. The shrimp fried rice was hot and fresh. The shrimp weren’t rubbery or overcooked. Very disappointed because I’ve heard good things about this place.
Wok Wei
We ordered 4 dishes and each of them was really good! It’s a smallish place, but don’t let that fool you; this is quality Chinese food! This is our new favorite spot.
The food is really good, fried rice is lacking though. Great place for dinner with the family.
Chinatown Asian Kitchen
I just left this restaurant. I ordered a cup of egg, drop soup and general Tsaos chicken. First of all, they did a really nice job decorating the place. It has really delicate flowers painted along the walls and some nice pictures hanging up. It’s very cute. They only say that I could get to go with my meal with egg drop soup. I’m not a fan of egg drop soup. Having said that, it was pretty good, ribbons of silky, egg, small amount of vegetables, I added a little bit of soy sauce and it was perfect for me. I’m a big believer that the first bite tells the tale. I took a bite of the chicken, the taste was spot on. It was not over sauced, it was not greasy, it had a very nice flavor with just the perfect amount of spice. The entrée came with a spring roll and a scoop of rice. I don’t care for spring rolls, but I did take a bite of it, it tasted like any other spring roll. Only it was definitely very crunchy and not in the slightest greasy. If you like spring rolls, you would probably claim that a winner. I was less impressed with the fried rice that went along with the meal. As you can see by the photo all it is is brown colored rice. It’s not crispy. I didn’t see a sign of a vegetable or an egg in it And when I left, I took the remaining entrée but left my rice. my total, including soda and tip came out to just slightly over $18. All in all, I think it was really good. I’ll definitely go back and try another entrée. But in my opinion, of the three Chinese restaurants we have in that area one on each corner, this was the best meal that I’ve had
The orange chicken was AMAZING. best i have ever ate. The service was great and the food was better. Very nice atmosphere and was an amazing experience. My family will definitely be returning soon.
Shanghai Grill
The service and ambience were amazing. Decent place for a family. Ordered the vietnamese style sun devil chicken lunch combo. It came with a soup, 2 fried wontons, 1 egg roll. Food was average but the quantity and presentation was great for the price. Hopefully other food items taste better.
Shanghai Grill has been such a great find and it has become our new favorite Chinese restaurant! Each dish we have ordered has been prepared with care and especially delicious! Our favorite dishes so far include sweet and sour chicken, orange chicken, kung pao chicken, General Tso’s chicken, pad thai, sesame chicken, and chicken lo mein. Shanghai Grill’s egg rolls are the absolute best and a must-have! Their potstickers and egg drop soup are also really flavorful and warming; making them such a great starter to your meal. It is easy to tell that each dish is prepared with quality ingredients and that makes all the difference in the world; making the entire experience enjoyable. Each time we have visited Shanghai Grill, we have been welcomed in with kindness and seated with care. The staff is always friendly and attentive. We also appreciated being able to order food to-go from the table, if we needed to. Do yourself and your tastebuds a favor and try Shanghai Grill for your next night out, trust me, you won’t be sorry you did!
