Harvey Moy's Chinese & American Restaurant
My husband and I stopped into Harvey Moy's for the first time and it was amazing! The server was so welcoming and friendly and the dining area was clean and well decorated. I must say I am extremely shocked - for the prices of the meals, they have HUGE portions! We ordered the egg roll and soup add on for only $3 and the egg roll was the biggest we've seen. All made fresh. We tried two different soups - Wonton and Egg Drop. While those were not our favorite (first time trying) everything else was on point. The Crab Rangoons were my favorite and we're massive. One Rangoon was the size of 2-3 typical ones elsewhere. They were stuffed with more crab than cream cheese, a true deal. We were full by the time our entrees came around! The Orange Chicken was crunchy and sweet and the Mongolian Beef with Fun Chow noodles were tasty. We brought a ton of leftovers (three containers!) back to the hotel. Outstanding flavor and service. Even more, we got a cookie with our bill!
Chinese restaurants are a dime a dozen, but there's only a few really good ones in this community, and Harvey Moy's is one of them. This restaurant is a gem in Menomonee Falls. Harvey and company have been running this place since 1962. The food is outstanding. The service is good. The ambiance is what you would expect for a Chinese restaurant, but this place has something special. The pictures on the walls of the many celebrities who have visited are a testament to the quality of this place. If you are dining in on a weekend, I would recommend making a reservation, as it can get pretty busy. Be sure to say hi to Harvey! He's very personable!
Chen's Gourmet Chinese Restaurant
Very bad food today. Paid extra for veggies to be in our fried rice and only got carrots. Was told the egg rolls cost more because there is 3 meats. Not at all no shrimp no pork just a few pieces of carrots and over cooked cabbage in a burnt shell. Crab ragoon WAS NOT good at all not sure what it was. They have really went down hill. Will not be back and we spent 82.00 bucks on the worst chinese food ever. We had combination fried rice, 3 baby shrimp (really) no chicken or an lil pork.
This Chinese food is great! Finally, we got around to going here and wish we had gone sooner!! We tried the egg roll (greasy, might try spring roll next time), orange chicken, and sesame chicken. All was good! We placed an order online, and a friendly employee greeted us at our car and delivered our food to us.
Ni Hao Restaurant
I had visited this place many times between 2017-2021. When visiting tonight we ordered from the American Chinese options (beef w/ broccoli and kung pow chicken). The beef was very pale, chewy, and flavorless. Everything was extra oily, which became the only taste for both dishes. The egg rolls were also oily and doughy. We think that was because the wrappers were too thick so they left them in longer to crisp up which they did not. Overall this was a very different experience then I have had her in the past. Looking at the reviews on Google now, seem like a common theme for them in the last 10-12 months.
Food was “meh” bland. Oil overpowered the flavors. Vegetable fried rice was so dark that it was unappealing with no egg and very few finely chopped vegetables.
