Lee Kong’s Chinese Fast Food 利光中式快餐
Pre-covid owners were great, good food, flavor. Hate to say the new cooks just doesn't cook good food, average, nothing to be excited about food. I mean aren't you in this business to cook your best dishes for your customers to enjoy? They can do better!
When you miss Wongs Wok this is your place to go. He was one of the cooks there and the food is almost a perfect match. The service is always friendly and very polite. I love the fried chicken and egg foo young. My imperial egg roll wasn’t that great though. All in all though I was very happy with my visit as always.
Noodles and Company
I ordered catering from the Glendale location for work. Everything was packed perfectly, there was plenty of food and everybody thoroughly enjoyed it. The woman delivering and setting up was very helpful and knowledgeable about the products. I ordered the cheese tortellini rosa, lemon shrimp scampi, spicy Korean zucchini noodles, garlic bread, Caesar salad.
The noodles are giving soupy like soup era. #watery I didn’t like it at all. Just ruined my all time favorite meal in here
King's Wok
The salt and pepper shrimp was spectacular! So fresh and cooked perfectly! BBQ Pork app was great too. Very impressed! Nice staff as well.
Excellent value. Friendly, accomodating, and helpful staff. Fresh vegetables. Huge portions. Thank you!
Peking Chef
Peking Chef is located in a strip mall. They seem to have mainly pick up and delivery options, but there are tables to eat there. Place your order in the back of the restaurant. It helps to look at the menu online before coming so you aren't standing there trying to read all they have to offer. The daughter ordered sweet and sour chicken lunch special, which came with a choice of white or fried rice, egg roll of choice (shrimp, pork, or veggie) or crab Rangoon, or soup. She got the fried rice and pork eggroll. I was going to order the Chinese fried chicken, but it didn't come with anything, so I opted for the pepper steak with the same choices for sides. I chose the fried rice and veggie egg roll. We also ordered crab Rangoon, which came with six large pieces. Our server brought the food out to us in to-go containers, which was very helpful because there was a lot of food. He brought Styrofoam plates and also brought us a bag to put all of our leftovers in. The food was very hot and had a nice flavor. The Rangoon had a touch of sweet without being too sweet like I've had elsewhere. Our waiter offered to bring us water, but we bought a can of Coke to share. There are other varieties of Coke products to purchase in either can or bottle. Everything we ordered came to under $30, which I thought was very reasonable. I would definitely come back to try some of their other dishes.
The quality of food here continues to decline. Ordered Pad Thai dish and it was bland and consisted mostly of noodles. The broccoli and Tofu dish was the same. Lots of Tofu though. Will not be returning.
Hong Anh Palace
We have been going to Hong Anh for many years. The people who own it are such kind people, endlessly patient with everyone. Their take out is so popular that you have to plan hours ahead when ordering. Not a problem for us!! It's worth the wait!! My husband grew up in NYC, and he absolutely loves the Hot and Sour soup. Our one daughter, who is now vegan, very much likes their tofu substitution. There is truly something for everyone here.
I wanted a nice Chinese buffet lunch. I looked up this restaurant that I used to visit frequently. Google map information stated there would be a lunch buffet. There is NO LUNCH BUFFET. This information should be updated. I was disappointed but decided to eat anyway. I think they’re only open from 11 to 2 for dine in. A sign on the door said take out only (at certain times). I ordered a bowl of hot and sour soup ($3.50) and the mixed appetizer plate ($10). The soup was okay but not great. It was a small cup of soup and I thought it wasn’t much considering the 3.50 price. It had plenty of tofu and bamboo shoots but not much meat, though there was some. The flavor was not balanced either; it was needed more of the vinegar flavor. The appetizer platter was excellent. The egg roll was huge and stuffed full of various ingredients including tiny shrimp. It was hot and crunchy outside. The wontons were fried perfectly and were also very tasty. The beef skewer was average. It didn’t have much flavor and was not tender. The shrimp was shaped into a circle and at first I thought it was an onion ring. The chicken was a nice piece of chicken breast but it had too much breading on it for my taste. Five stars for this dish. The appetizer platter was served with small pitchers of duck sauce and spicy mustard sauce. I drank water and the wait staff did a pretty good job keeping my glass full. I could have had a few more refills but I understand they’ve got a lot to do. For some reason I didn’t have any napkins at my table, just the silverware. I had to request napkins.
