So glad I finally went! I checked out the vegetarian and vegan options, I have been missing vegan Chinese since Bamboo Garden closed. The vegetarian sweet and sour short ribs were so unique, savory and you can eat the "bones!" I have never had vegan dan dan mien (homemade pan fried noodles), it wasn't very tingly but still tasty. LOVED the fried pumpkin with salty egg, delicious, super savory. I got takeout but I would definitely dine in too. Warm and welcoming atmosphere with booths and big dim sum tables, plenty of folks eating midweek early dinner. Nice people.

Don’t let the outside appearance dissuade you, it’s delicious! Our host was very friendly and the smell of tasty food greets you right away. Highly recommend the Mongolian Beef, General Tso’s, and sesame noodles.

We recently visited Mount & Bao and left with mixed impressions. To start, we tried the Hot and Sour Soup, which, while offering familiar flavors, stood out for its generous portion size at just $3.99. It was a satisfying and value-packed appetizer. For the main course, we opted for two combo plates—one with Sesame Chicken and another with General Tso's Chicken. Unfortunately, despite being different dishes, they were visually indistinguishable and tasted almost identical. The flavors were mild, and while they weren’t unpleasant, they didn’t leave a memorable impression either—just average. The service was generally good, though the ordering process might not suit everyone. Orders are placed using a QR code on your phone, which some might find a bit confusing or cumbersome. In summary, Mount & Bao is an option if you’re looking for value and convenience, but the overall dining experience was underwhelming in terms of flavor and uniqueness.

This review is for specifically this ONE dish: Mashed peppers with preserved egg and eggplant is the "S+" tier dish. I've tried this dish in different restaurants in Seattle and all over. Mount&Bao has the BEST version - it's soooo umami. I haven't been able to forget it for years! I eat for a living :) and I'm Chinese, born in China so I'm pretty picky 😅 Thank goodness for the owners. They seem to work really hard. The lady front of house is really nice even if her English is a little lacking. Nice family owned joint! Portions are generous!!!

Hey fellas yesterday I happened to be in north Seattle area and decided to eat something nearby ,so I found this place . I ordered a plate with fried rice and shrimps. It looked good at first sight, asked restroom code to wash my hands but it was out of order. Said ok, and ate it in my car . 3-4 hours passed and i came back home and started feeling sick . I got poisoned by food and thrown out 3-4 times . Couldn’t sleep all night taking some medications. Please be careful of what you eat . Don’t recommend this place at all.

I asked for fresh string bean chicken and was happy to wait the estimated 6 minutes because the existing pan was empty with just some dried out veggies left. When I opened up the to go box, I was baffled to see they had added the inedible old string bean chicken on top. This portion should have been thrown in the garbage. I feel like this was on purpose because we were served old dry orange chicken (didn’t realize till we tasted it) and I politely asked if we can have it replaced with fresh as I saw some had just been made. As a past employee of Panda Express I am extremely disappointed. None of those employees would have eaten that, why would they serve it to me.
