Diamond Bay Restaurant
My new favorite dim sum restaurant right now! You gotta get the essentials right…siu Mai, shrimp balls, tripe, sticky rice, and lo bak go, etc and this place hits! The sui mais and shrimp balls have this yummy sesame flavor that’s different than the other dim sum restaurants. Most of the food comes out hot. Their dinner menu is also really delicious. I’ve ordered the wings several times and they’ve been soooo good! A couple times though they have been really salty. The place is very spacious and inviting. Service is excellent…although on a busy day, it can be not as great. But overall, good food and good vibes
First visit on Jan 1, 2025. The restaurant is nicely decorated & still new. It was very busy, lots of large groups. We were seated at a table by the wall & the door kept opening. It kept very cold air coming in the whole time. The food was good, I think same has Joy Palace & Honey court. Dimsum menu was smaller than I expected. Prices is average. Food came out reasonably quickly but not all dishes were hot.
Jin Huang (King's Kitchen)
Food was all very tasty. Some are pricy tho - the small coconut chicken soup is $16, not very worth it. We especially enjoyed the pepper salt squid, red wine beef (both not in pic 😂). But everything else was tasty too. We had a big group of 7 people and the seating situation was not very ideal. Smaller group will be more comfortable.
A low key place serving Cantonese noodles, congee, rice rolls, and rice dishes with Cantonese BBQ meats including duck, soy sauce chicken, roast pork. It is attached to Diamond Bay so you are allowed to order a few dim sum dishes… just don’t overdo it, otherwise wait for a table at Diamond Bay. Service seems friendly and less rushed than next door.
Szechuan Noodle Bowl
Phenomenal. Everything we ordered was A+. It can be hard to find soup dumplings that don’t have an excessively doughy flavor. These are right on the money. Very reasonable prices and exceedingly friendly staff. The marinated pig ears were a surprise hit, even for the toddlers.
SO good BUT🚨don’t order online! If you’re ordering for pick up: call in or order there. The prices are 30-65%+ more. For example: Green onion pancake $7.25 v $9.39 Beef noodle soup $13.25 v chicken $17.19 Dumplings $11.45 v $18.89 I attached the online order and the actual menu for reference. I assume the price increases are to cover their software fees but still - save a bit and then tip them extra!
