First of all I absolutely hate the taste of fish. That’s why I order beef! Mongolian Beef. Last time we ate here, the beef had a sour/fishy taste. I didn’t say anything because I thought the chef made an innocent mistake. But I love Mongolian beef so I ordered it again tonight. It was so fishy I couldn’t eat any of it. I ordered BEEF not FISH. In 40 years of eating Mongolian beef, I’ve never experienced red meat flavored with seafood sauce. Really disappointing. Also strange was the dish contained 2 distinctly different types of meat. What’s that all about?!?! Portions were very small for 3 of 4 dishes despite the higher price. No white rice included. And for $90, they included ONE small container of soy sauce. But here’s the kicker: The order-out menus is more expensive than the dine in menu. They also tacked on a 3% convenience fee. AND the online ordering automatically added a 15% tip. My husband had to manually remove the tip. So we were UNABLE to pay online. My husband had to call in to pay. He paid the “order out” price and “convenience fee.” Then we got a surprise call back from August Moon. They actually ASKED for a tip. So, in short, fishy food, jacked up prices for small portions, added convenience fees and the audacity to call us back and ask for a tip. It’s take out!

THIS NEIGBORHOOD RESTAURANT IS JUST THE PLACE FOR EASTERN TASTE CLOSE TO HOME AND THE WAITSTAFF ARE VERY NICE THEIR FOOD IS TRADITIONAL CHINESE RESTAURANT FOOD COOKED TO THE EXPECTATION AND BEYOND, THE MONGOLIAN BEEF IS SAVORY JUICY AND DELICIOUS. THEY ARE THE ONLY CHINESE RESTAURANT IN SAMMAMISH THAT HAS SOME TRADITIONALLY Well COOKED DELICIOUS DISHES ....... BE IN A SURPRISED MOOD BECAUSE AUGUST MOON IS COMING OUT WITH NEW CUISINE AND A NEW VIBE THAT YOU ARE SURE TO APROOVE AND LOVE IN 2025 ..... I GIVE THIS FAMILY RESTAURANT A 5 STAR ***** BECAUSE SELECT DISHES ARE COOKED EXPERT AND I AM ALWAYS GREETED WITH LOVE AND WELCOME THEY LISTEN TO THEiR CUSTUMERS TOO ........ IF YOU ARE LUCKY YOU WILL GET TO TRY THEIR AMAZING CHEF SPECIAL THAT IS ON AND OFF MENU REMEMBER THEIR HAPPY HOUR SPECIALS AND SUNNY SHE IS SO BEAUTIFUL AND SURE TO MAKE YOUR DINING EXPERIENCE A JOY! VINCENT THE OWNER MANAGER IS A SUPERB HOST and very attentive manager...... they have a surprise for the new year all year...... hope i see you there....... if you like egg foo young you will relish theirs with gravy smooth as satin and their chow fun is the reason i keep comming back....... just look for the moon on 228th august moon thank you for being the absolute best neigborhood chinese restaurant!
