Mai Place Asian Bistro
One of my favorite Cantonese cuisine restaurants at eastside. It is a good gathering place with friends and family to share the dishes. They have fresh seafood with market place. I always order the steamed oysters with garlic source. In the end, complimentary dessert is served.
THE BEST Cantonese food you can find near Seattle area! It’s crowded during the dinner time so be prepared to wait, BUT I assure you it’s worth the wait. They have THE BEST and Perfect Beef Chow Fun I’ve ever had! The noodles are soft and smooth with good amount of chewiness. Marinaded beef is tender and fragrant! I asked for less oil since chow fun is usually greasy, and I don’t see ANY oil sitting at the bottom of the place. The sautéed offal is a challenging dish to make, as stomach, heart, liver, and kidney have different cooking times. And they cooked it very well! Kidney is crispy, stomach is soft, heart and tongue is soft with right amount of chewiness. The only small flaw is that liver gets overcooked a little bit. Eggplant is soft and melt in your mouth. They offer you free tea and peanut as the appetizer and taro with tapioca sweet soup as the dessert! All the three dishes we ordered are a bit heavy, so tea definitely helps!
Little Peking Chinese Restaurant
Very nice spot. Great for lunch. It’s run by good people. I enjoyed my food I got for lunch. The hot and sour soup was on point. And General Tso’s chkn was good. Reasonable pricing. I’ll definitely come back sometime. I hung out with a friend for a while and we enjoyed the atmosphere. A good place to bring family and friends.
🤢 please please please just do better. I’ve been eating here for 20 years. It’s one of the last still existing Chinese restaurants. I ate at with my family since I was a child. Not only was my order absolutely unsatisfactory and they had no intentions of fixing it, but everything from the sweet-and-sour chicken to being chewy and dry to the Mongolian beef not noodling. It’s so dried out and disgusting that the crunchy noodles remain crunchy. Don’t get me started on the soggy mess that they’re calling almond stirfried chicken. I’m posting this in hopes that they will see it and make adjustments before they lose what few customers they seem to still have.
