China Sun Buffet
So, at first I was impressed by the friendly customer service. The waiter is so nice and she was outstanding. Than we got the food. The variety is NOT like other people where making it to be. It was not that much of variety available. They open at 11 and we got there at 12 and there food was not hot. Some was cold, some warm. So I know the items was not freshly made. This is one reason I rated the food at a 3. The other reason is some of the food tasted weird. I don't know if they are using left over food from day before or what but it definitely did not taste good. There rice noodles, and some of there chicken breaded was yummy. Also the sugar donuts was nice too. Pictures available š
Really great food. This was only our second time coming here and wasn't sure if we seated ourselves or not, the lady at the front wasn't super clear and we were a little confused. But other than that, our waiter was very kind and attentive and the food tasted great. š
Wok & Teriyaki
My Aunt & I had a late lunch of teriyaki chicken and Kung Pao beef. Both dishes were large portions but the price was a little high! Food was excellent tasting and I'd love to go back.
January 9, 2025: I suffered extreme sticker shock when I handed over my debit card to pay for 2 spicy teriyaki chicken breast dinners, totaling $40! The nice lady at the counter assured me there was no price mistake and showed me the menu. I took the menu with me and compared it with the one I had at home from last year. As anyone will see when comparing last year to this new menu, prices had been increased to a substantially higher level. To add to my further disappointment, the portions of both the chicken & the side salad were noticeably smaller than what I was accustomed to receiving. I am very sad because I have been coming here for many years, and consider Wok Teriyaki a neighborhood staple. Many a weeknight, weāve resorted to takeout when making dinner wasnāt feasible. No more. If Iām going to pay this much for similar food, it will be at a far nicer restaurant where we would typically dine in. The prices now are truly beyond the pale.
Weihai House Chinese Food Take-out
I do wish there were dine in options, but I understand that the take out model likely works best for the owners. The food is delicious, fresh and generous. I discovered that I actually like chestnuts, they must be using fresh chestnuts because they are delicious and taste nothing like the canned ones Iām used to. They clearly care about the quality and portions and while the prices reflect the quality, Iām OK with that.
The price was a little steep, but the food was very good! The woman working the takeout counter was extremely friendly. The portions are absolutely gigantic.
Golden Grill On the Bay
I love Golden Grill! I used to bartend here about 15 years ago, so I was already very family with their food, and unlike most places, itās only gotten better over the years. Try the sizzling platter. Itās like Chinese fajitas. š So good! Also save room for their hand made pork dumplings. Always worth it!
really lovely restaurant with pleasant vibes and a view of the water. Food was good, hot and fresh, but extremely expensive. Portions were large at least. I got their joy luck combination plate and it was a lot of food. But the soda was $5! The pot of tea was $6! That's just a lot in my opinion.
Emperor's Palace
Placed my order online. I ordered the #4 lunch combination. This is the worst place I have been at in a very long time. The staff was disrespectful. I am clearly trying to stress what I'm trying to say and because of the limited ability to speak English or should I say the inability to act like they can understand English was just painful. How can you run a business and pretend like you don't know English. I had to repeat myself multiple times before becoming frustrated with handing the phone to my. Who she did begin screaming at as well as when I got back on the phone began screaming at me telling me it was my responsibility to make sure my order was correct. I screenshot me taking the order and it was clearly not what I ordered . My order did not take ownership of messing up my order. I do not eat chicken. I specified what I wanted. I followed the instructions online to place my order and my order was completely incorrect. The inside was old. Ran down smelled moldy Health department should be called to inspect this place. The food was completely nasty. I would never go here. I would never recommend anyone to go here. I wouldn't even feed the leftovers to my pets. People need to stop investing in locally owned businesses when they don't appreciate your dollars. If it wasn't for local customers, you would not still be in business.
The food here is absolutely amazing. I usually only do take out, but I am never disappointed. The family dinners are an insane amount of food, definitely enough to feed the whole family and have leftovers, and the honey walnut chicken is a must try, it's always fresh and delicious.
Pau's Asian Kitchen
My wife wanted Chinese food for lunch so we pulled into this little gem unknown to us just how delightful and quaint this experience would be. The hostess was very polite and accommodating. She even gifted my toddler with a complimentary plushy bear! The food was a wonderful surprise, we ordered the broccoli beef, my wife's favorite, the beef was cooked perfectly, flavorful and tender. The veggies were as well, not over cooked. I ordered the General Tao's chicken. The sauce was thick and flavorful. The breading was the best part! The breading was light and crispy, not thick and doey. We also ordered pots tickers. Everything was same day fresh and very affordable. Absolutely delicious and we will certainly be back another time.
The dinner portions were big, and everything was fresh. Prices are reasonable, and the wait wasn't bad at all. The hot and sour soup really hit the spot; I've been craving a good bowl of it, and I was so glad I came here. The entrƩes had phenomenal wok-hei, and the veggies were cut so that they had the right balance of crunch, flavor, and tenderness. I will come back here to eat next time I'm in the area!
Stir Fry 88
I personally wouldnāt go back, but my daughter and my sister loved it and finished it, so Iām doing the review off them.
Absolutely perfect and delicious! My whole family was super happy with each of their meals. My kids were extra happy with their honey dew milk tea and Strawberry milk teas! And next time I will be ordering both of my entrees with their walnut shrimp, it was really that good!
Blossom | Chinese Cuisine
I was craving chicken fried rice, so we gave this place a try. The service was fast and friendly. The atmosphere was okay. The prices were okay, but the food was lacking. My fried rice was very mediocre, almost like microwaved frozen. It was greasy, extra salty, and had large chunks of onion. My friend had sesame chicken which I sampled. It was lackluster as well. Not sure what they were going for with this dish. I am used to good or even great Chinese food, but this just wasnāt either. Very disappointed.
Food came out so fast I wasn't prepared for it, honestly. Service is amazing. Food tastes great! I ordered the beef and broccoli / sweet and sour chicken combo plate. The egg drop soup tasted great. The BBQ pork was splendid. My buddy devoured his beef chow mein, and we haven't found good chow mein in a while. If you're in poulsbo, definitely come here
Taste Wei Chinese & Japanese Restaurant
One of the more pleasant culinary surprises in a long time. I was in the WalMart parking lot charging my car, needed to kill some time, and was hungry. It doesnāt look like much from the outside, but I hadnāt had Chinese in a while and said, why not? Letās do it. I was seated immediately (it was a odd dining hour). To my very pleasant surprise, the food was really good! Frankly, I was expecting average Americanized Chinese food and I ended up with better than average by a decent margin. Highly recommended.
This place is a pleasant surprise. The atmosphere is confusing, but all that is forgotten once the food arrives. The walnut shrimp is amazing, plump and beautifully cooked. Bacon fried rice actually contained enough bacon to earn its name. Wonton soup was steaming upon arrival and continued to stay hot as we served up our food. Wontons are perfect! Not overly crunchy or oily. The pandemic hit this place hard and itās sad to see it getting lost within the fast food restaurants that surround it. Would love to see business begin to grow again, so sushi can hit as hard as its pictures! Donāt be discouraged when you walk through the doors, take a seat and enjoy this hidden gem before itās gone.
Joy Luck Restaurant & Take Out
This is your classic American-Chinese food! Everything was fresh and hot! I was greeted with a warm welcome, and I felt that the business owners truly appreciated my business. I ordered the cashew chicken and it was very tasty! It was a huge portion that lasted me all day. It is a one story business with no steps and lots of parking. My order took about 11 minutes. There are a lot of spaces to sit, but since I was in my lunch break I got mine to go. They put the rice in a separate container which made sure it didnāt get mushy. I will be visiting again soon.
My fiance and I enjoyed a delicious meal tonight. The young man who waited on us, was fast on his feet and very kind. We will be eating or getting take out from here regularly
China West
So the food was actually authentic and pretty good. I mean, yes it's Chinese. NO IT IS NOT MEXICAN. lol unless you ask for the Mexican menu. Outside there restraunt it says Mexican/ Chinese. You go in and the waiter gives you Chinese only menu. But that really through me off. Had me kinda irritated. Since it said one thing on there board but it was false advertising. Anyways, back to the food. The egg rolls so yummy, the orange chicken, was authentic and rice. Very good. Food was good. Service was okay, the waiter seemed upset and bothered. But a little smile would of did him a long way snd I'm sure it would help with the tips too
I'm in love with the orange chicken made here. It's not a typical (too sweet) sauce. It's a housemade (differently unique) spicy type of orange sauce. You can't get this anywhere else. I like the sauce on the side (for to-go) so the deep-fried chicken doesn't get soggy, and I dip the chicken in orange sauce. The chicken itself, sweet and sour, or orange chicken is cooked to perfection. I love whatever coating they use and you can tell the oil is fresh because you taste the food, not the oil. Also, recommend any of the rice dishes. We like shrimp fried rice and there's a generous amount of shrimp in this. We've had all the fried rice, all are good with fresh vegetables. The staff is always friendly and all the food is consistently good and made fresh. The Chef here is top-notch. š We've been going here for decades for comfort food and it's only gotten better. Prices are reasonable for a generous amount of food that is great reheated. The egg rolls are huge!
China Wok
For Bremerton or Silverdale this is the best Chinese food. The servings are like 3 meals and the have all the best items. The egg rolls are amazing and seem to be homemade. This is the go to place when we don't know were to go. Good comes out very fast even when busy, which they normally are. Oh last thing they do great take out.
Food is probably the best Chinese food I've had in kids up. Service is a little cool but definitely doesn't put me off. Atmosphere is outdated, but that's how you know that it's really good food. Don't change a thing.
