Mama Dough
The food was fantastic. I had the spicy shrimp and pork wontons. The wife had beef hand pulled noodles soup. I’ve been looking for spicy wontons since the days of green village and this has come the closest. I just need a little bit more spice and it would be perfect. The hand pulled noodles were thick And very very good. The beef was big chunks. I’d cook them just a little bit more so they fall apart in my mouth, but they were awesome. Definitely be back to try the more items on the menu.
We've been eating here since this mom and pop shop opened up in 2015(?) They basically have the same menu as another famous Xioa Long Bao, but this place is way more affordable and local. Their food has been consistent since when they first opened. Their food is always amazing and service is prompt, but when it is busy, they always try their best to keep the food coming. We used to live in close proximity before and we would come here 1-2x a week. But now that we're further away, whenever in the area, we always stop in a get some great food. 👍🏻 Give them a try and you'll love it, trust me 😉...you're welcome!
Spicy Chong Qing
Nice spot for some southern Chinese cuisine. This place isn't anything fancy but delivers on the food well. The spicy cold chicken was quite good. It was soft and tender with an enjoyable amount of heat. The lamb on a stick was also good but felt like a small portion given the large amount of dried peppers on the plate. The spicy fish filet was also good and tender with a bit of kick.
Good Szechuan spot in the Great Wall Shopping Mall. Seated quickly and ordered via the QR code menu. Neither dish was too spicy but had the classic numbing sensation from the peppers. Highly recommend!
Happy Noodles
It replaced the old noodle house and now features Szechuan cuisine. Everything was super OILY, like soaking in oil. We’ve always enjoyed our Szechuan food but not to this level of oiliness. The spicy beef noodle soup was literally a bowl of spicy oil with a few chunks of fatty beef. Very disappointed. Won’t be coming back.
Authentic Szechuan food!!!! This place is a hidden gem! The flavors are spot-on, and the portions are huge, which makes it great value for the price. The owner, who is also the cook, really knows how to craft a delicious meal. Every dish I tried was packed with that signature Szechuan spice and flavor. The owner’s mom, super friendly! Overall, I highly recommend this spot.
Szechuan First
The staff here were so warm and welcoming—it honestly felt like I was visiting family. The portions were generous, and every dish was packed with flavor. You can tell they really care, from the way they check in on you to all the little thoughtful touches throughout the meal.
Great food. So spicy. So oily. So fresh. So amazing. This place is not where you'd bring a first date, but would absolutely bring a friend or roommate any time you go to visit Ikea. The portions are huge, very tasty, and have the best value I've seen in greater Seattle. Don't let the "okay" food score scare you off, I'll definitely be coming back.
V Garden
Why this restaurant gets such low review score? It is a really authentic one for Chinese food, especially the soup. Their service is excellent as well. They help with getting food into the to-go box, which is now rarely seen in Chinese restaurants service, no matter Seattle or the bay area. Price is also very reasonable. They deserve at least four stars. Since it’s now underscored a lot, I am giving it five stars.
I was shocked to see the bill of $336.40 for the dishes we ordered as shown in the picture 😱and we still leave them tip of $46.60. So our total bill was $380. The lobster was less than 3lbs. I buy lobster regularly at 99 Ranch market, I can tell from my experiences how much it weighs. We brought a box of frozen tempura and oyster to asking them to fry for us. I truly believe the boss lady treated us as tourists and she charged us the way she did. ( she asked if we were 1st time customers) sadly to mention, I wasn’t the first time customer. But, she couldn’t recognize me. I’m not a big fan of Chinese food but I like the taste of their food , that’s why we went to V Garden to celebrate my friend’s birthday. I know I will never go back to this restaurant ever again 👎
Imperial Garden Beijing Duck Restaurant
Pretty place for dimsum and dining, but if you stop by late close to the closing time these guys smoke inside the restaurant. So that’s the turn off for me. It got on my clothes and I inhale their cigarette smokes.
It used to be good and delicious, now it is just taste different. Probably not coming back anytime soon. Siu mai pretty good. Rice roll is so wringkly than the picture they have.
