Famous Kitchen
Having recently moved from Bellevue to the peaceful town of Issaquah, I had to say goodbye to the convenience of Bellevue's vibrant Asian restaurant scene. Luckily, I discovered Famous Kitchen, which offers some of the most delicious Cantonese dishes and roasted meats (duck, pork, chicken). My favorite--the roasted duck--did not disappoint. Unlike other places where the duck is mostly bones, the portions here are very meaty, and the flavor is perfectly balanced--just the right amount of seasoning without being too salty. We've explored several other dishes on the menu, many of which we've never seen or heard of anywhere else. It's definitely a hidden gem, offering a unique and flavorful dining experience.
They weigh the takeout box with your bbq pork. Also, the guy chopped my bbq and didn't wash his hands after taking a nap at the table. Pretty gross. Salted fish chicken fried rice was really good; white cut chicken was great, but I was very disappointed with shrimp wonton noodles soup (shrimp in wonton was very dried and no flavor). Best Wonton Noodle Soup is in Seattle, Beacon Dim Sum House in Seattle!
Macky’s Dim Sum
The best disum restaurant in Issaquah area. I had dim sum here on a day in late September. The food was delicious, with many dishes to choose from. I went with my family, about 8 people, and the restaurant had spacious, comfortable, and clean seating. The staff was very friendly and pleasant.
After giving this place a try, it's well worth the 15-20 min drive to the Bellevue area for much better fare. I'm sure the restaurant had its moment years ago, but I noticed too many red flags for me to consider returning (if you've ever worked in a restaurant, you know what to look out for). Couple these signs with their known food safety violations, its not much of a surprise. For the size of Issaquah—and how fast it is growing—it has a surprisingly good and diverse food scene. It can certainly do much better than this.
Panda Express
Just thought I would give Panda Express another try. Turned out to be a mistake. Tables and chairs were greasy and sticky. Trash was overflowing. 3 entrees are half way filled. So disappointed!
The best vibes in this place and the food quality amazing! Definitely one of the better Panda Expresses I’ve been too! Amazing Management shows! The team work I seen tonight between employees 🙏🏽🥳🤩💖👍🏼
J&J Chinese Restaurant
Ordered Tofu with bean sauce, vegetable fried rice and stir fry beans. Food tastes really good and flavorful. You can ask for hot sauce if you like food spicy. Ambience I would rate 3/5. Food 5/5. Price 5/5. Worth having a good dinner. The last video would say it all. Would definitely visit again.
Terrible experience, very slow service. We waited forever for our food, and then we got 2/3 dishes and had to wait at least 15m for the last one. The Twice Fried Pork was so salty as to be almost inedible and the Salt+Pepper Tofu was quite under cooked. Never once were we asked if our food was OK. When we finally complained all we got was "sorry". I felt sorry for the others there this night. The place wasn't that busy, 4 tables, but with takeout orders they were completely overwhelmed. Sad.
