Magic Wok
I just finished my food from Magic Wok next to Angelicas restaurant on 337th For how expensive it came out to be, it's not worth it. I got a bubble tea with Rainbow jelly, I'm going to be honest I hit up Pho tai weekly!! My bubble tea has the flavor of like lotion I had my lady try it. She agrees... so I'm pretty bummed about that. My rice was $5 extra, and you can tell it was from the bottom of the pan because it was really difficult to chew. i mean rough. Rice shouldn't be like what I experienced. I got the Spicy Garlic chicken on level 3. I read that it's super hot. It wasn't. So all in all my experience with that place I'm not returning. The guy who worked the front end was nice, though. I hope the tip I left goes to him.
This was one of my favorite places but was sold and now I couldn't eat the food. I got a combination dinner and my brother got BBQ pork chow Mein. My combination consisted of chicken Chow Mein, Almond fried chicken and that always has gravy that is very flavorful and Fried rice. Gravy was white and raised like flour and extremely sweet as well not good at all. The chicken Chow Mein only thing that was good in it was the pieces of chicken, Noodles used were not the normal sized Chow Mein noodles very thick and mushy very disgusting. Fried rice usually has good flavor this time no flavor and fried rice is not hard to cook right I make fried rice and always has very good flavor. I also had wonton soup broth was mediocre at best and well the Win Tons in it were super mushy and didn't taste right so needless to say I will not be back and I have a feeling this place with no customers in it will not succeed when a person can go to a sit down restaurant with way better food for the same price and this was takeout.
