I’ve been here many times and it’s always a solid go-to! The Sweet & Sour Fried Pork is my absolute favorite — crispy, tender, and packed with flavor. The scallion pancake is perfectly flaky and not greasy, and the cilantro beef is super fragrant and satisfying, especially with the chili seasoning. The self-ordering system is convenient, and the environment is clean and welcoming. Just a heads-up — the food prep time can be a bit inconsistent, especially during busy hours, but it’s usually worth the wait. If you’re craving hearty, flavorful Northern Chinese dishes, this place is definitely worth checking out!

Crispy fish is super delicious and fresh. I really love it!

Thank you Queena and team! This place is a true gem! A small family run spot with a big impact! I had honey walnut prawns with house fried rice. The rice was perfectly authentic and packed with flavor. The prawns were absolutely delicious! The shrimp toast is an east coast favorite definitely try it as it made my heart happy it was sooo good! iAlso the house made chili oil 😍 don’t forget to get a cocktail while you wait! 10/10 Ty!

I recently dined at Best Wok with my team, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience! As a group that primarily ordered vegan items, we were thrilled with the variety and quality of the dishes. One standout dish was the Hot and Spicy Hunan Tofu. It was absolutely amazing—perfectly spiced and packed with flavour. The ambiance was inviting, and the staff were friendly and attentive, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. If you’re in Bellevue and looking for a great place to enjoy vegan Chinese cuisine, I highly recommend Best Wok. You won’t be disappointed!

Peony offers an upscale Chinese dining experience, with prices reflective of the generous portions. The cuisine stays true to its roots, though some dishes cater to American tastes. Beware of the beef ribeye fried rice, though—it's hit or miss. Last time, it was exceptional; this time, the beef had a hint of sourness. The restaurant’s vibe is uniquely appealing for a Chinese eatery, but the service could use improvement, which seems to be common in the area. Convenient parking nearby makes it a spot worth trying.

We ended up eating family-style at this location, having some of the spicy crispy fish fillet, mapo tofu w/ pork, eggplant w/ beans, pork soup dumplings, and ribeye steak with rice The concept of including a rice dish to eat some of the other dishes with was smart because none of the other dishes came with rice I thought the mapo tofu was the best of these. It wasn’t really spicy - definitely more on the sweet side, but I thought the flavor really came through here. Both the tofu and the pork were pretty fantastic as well Surprisingly, I also enjoyed the eggplant and green beans. Normally, I don’t like eggplant, but the fact that it was good here was impressive. I liked how soft it became after cooking I can’t say I liked the other things I had though The soup dumplings were fine, but they were certainly lacking on the soup. The pork wasn’t that great either The ribeye steak included in the rice didn’t taste well cooked at all - it was difficult to break apart and not very good With the spicy & crispy fish fillet - I liked the spice level, and the inside was pretty good, but I thought the breading was light and the spice being a dry spice made it difficult to eat more than a couple, even mixing it with rice. This place is quite expensive - as most of our dishes were over 25 dollars. I don’t think it’s worth that price Overall, definitely not one of the top-tier Chinese food I’ve had, but not the worst either. 6.5/10

Came here because we saw some decent reviews on Google. It was a Saturday afternoon when we came. The food was ok. Soup dumplings were a bit cold by the time we received our order. The entire order took a while to be prepared, and it turns out the crepe was the hold up. Felt like the kitchen could’ve timed the rest of the items better to keep everything fresh/hot. The pan-seared buns were actually far juicier and tastier than the soup dumplings and definitely the start of the meal. They also sell frozen items as well.

We came here because of a friend’s recommendation, and it turned out to be great! We enjoyed the fried soup dumplings, steamed soup dumplings and Jian Bing. Those dumplings were very juicy. The side dishes such as cucumber and sichuan cabbage were also pretty good. It’s a nice place for a quick bite.

I had a great meal at Jiangnan Restaurant. The place is clean, nicely decorated, and has a cozy atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the service was quick. The food was delicious—especially the Spicy Pickled Pepper Bullfrog and Shrimp. Everything was fresh, well-cooked, and full of flavor. You can tell they put care into each dish. If you’re looking for tasty and authentic Jiangnan-style food, this is a great spot to try. I’d definitely go back and recommend it to others.

We were excited to try out this new restaurant, especially the Peking duck. Browsing through the menu was super exciting as there are so many dishes we want to try. Then reality struck. The pork belly in the braised pork belly in black tea sauce was tough. It's supposed to be a delicate dish that melts in your mouth. But this dish was chewy. There were more fried dough than chicken in the deep-fried dried chicken with dried pepper. I think they could do away with the fried dough. The fried rice was very disappointing too. It didn't look appetizing, and the taste lacked "wok hei" Finally the duck showed up. Instead of showing us the whole duck, it was already sliced and set on a plate. The skin color didn't look anything like the picture on the window. The skin was somewhat crispy, but the meat is a bit cold. We've tried Iden Quan Ju De in Vancouver. If that was a 10 in Iden, then Jiang Nan's would be around 5 at most. It lacks presentation, freshness, and crispiness. But the overall taste is okay, probably not worth the price tag. The operational flow of the restaurant is still not smooth as the staff is new. They would forget to check in on our table. We had to flag them down several times to refill our drinks or switch out the plates for wrapping the duck dish. The ordering process was completely awkward as there's only one tablet for the entire table to browse through the menu. The ordering was confusing as well as tlit asked us to enter the table number. Then we found out we were seated in a different table than what they had told us from the front desk. The serving staff brought us several dishes that we hadn't ordered. We told them we didn't order those, or we could have gotten extra dishes for free. Unfortunately it wasn't a great experience as we had high expectations for such a supposedly high caliber restaurant. Perhaps we would give it another chance in six months after they work out all the flaws in their process.

Dry Pot Beef Brisket with Potato Slices – So good! Love that this upscale restaurant has an open kitchen, ready to customize dishes exactly how you want. A perfect meal made just for me!

I had an issue with my order that was likely caused by the ordering app—it showed an impossible menu option that shouldn’t have been selectable. I even had screenshots proving this mistake. When I first informed the restaurant, they made me wait 10 minutes before offering two choices: wait an hour for the kitchen to clean before they’d remake my dish, or get a refund. Since it was already 8:30 PM, waiting wasn’t really an option. But then they changed their stance, saying a refund was only possible if I brought the incorrect item back inside—which was already in my car. To make things worse, they dismissed the evidence I showed them and instead told me to "be more careful with my selection next time," as if the mistake was mine. At this point, I was tired, frustrated, and just hungry, so I reluctantly agreed to try something different. Unfortunately, the food I received was greasy and not what we expected. My wife and I ended up with stomach aches afterward, making the experience even worse. After all that back-and-forth, I wasted $26 on food we could barely eat. Mistakes happen, but the way a business handles them is just as important as the food they serve. In this case, the lack of accountability, dismissive attitude, and poor customer service made this a truly disappointing experience.

Two words: Egg tarts!! They were the unexpected highlight of our visit. It was lucious, pillowy, and melt-in-your-mouth good. I think they came right out of the oven and was served right after our meal. I honestly and genuinely didn’t know egg tarts could taste that good. The fried chicken was also good - fresh, juicy, and crispy. Overall a great experience and one I would be willing to make the drive from Seattle to.

Tried this spot today and it was such a pleasant surprise! The beef rice plate was super flavorful, and the soft-boiled egg and garlicky greens were a perfect combo. We also got takoyaki, some juicy fried chicken, and a crispy chicken cutlet rice plate — everything was freshly made and packed with flavor. The drinks were refreshing too. Overall, delicious food with generous portions. Would totally come back!

Reasonably priced, very clean. You can order via a digital menu. Wait wasn't long to be seated (though we made reservations). There's a cute little private room you can sit in as well. Food took quite a while to arrive and was pretty salty but was still okay. Menu doesn't have much in the way of veggies. We received gizzards instead of chicken heart for one of our orders.

Restaurant is clean and well-decorated. Plenty of natural lighting and eye pleasing wall decorations. Fast and friendly service. You can order by scanning a QR code from your table and food will arrive once you place your order from your phone. Plenty of skewer and Chinese hot dish options. Their skewers are really flavorful and full of spices. Most of the ones we ordered, such as grilled ribeye and chicken skin are a bit spicy but I love the spice and flavor. They have a hot plate for each table to keep the skewers warm and bucket to place the skewer sticks. They have plenty of other Chinese dish and would love to come back the try them. Plenty of parking space around the restaurant.

Came here to also comment on the preposterous tip sign. You can see the name of their restaurant in the lower hand corner. Restaurant obviously caught in a lie in the other response to a customer.

Great food right near the crossroads mall

But a restaurant is this clean? They can keep the lights up; bright airy, almost opulent. I watched local families nuzzle each other and feed their children. Details matter; a hot tea carafe waiting at table, a friend to friend tone in the server’s warning about spiciness, a table dish warmer, a tea carafe swap out. Two kinds of fiery dishes; and warnings were necessary. Not panic attack hot but you may experience adrenaline feast mode. Great spot.

3rd time we tried Sichuan cold noodles, 黄花鱼, and A菜. 2nd time dinner today we were lucky to get seats early before 6pm. waiting time was about 20mins for two people on a Friday night. Again the service staffs were friendly and prompt even though they were very busy. The wait staffs were the most hardest workers I’ve ever seen and hope they are paid well. They do all the cleaning and bring water to the tables. We ordered 毛氏红烧肉,湖南肉泡饭 recommended for not spicy和茄子刀豆 were all good 😊 The new Hunan restaurant is indeed a quite unique among many already in Bellevue. The service is prompt and friendly. The staffs all work tirelessly. Beef noodles - beef is somehow tasteless but I love the thin noodles. Stinky tofu with hot source is very crispy and tasty good. Most dishes are all with the right amount of salt and not too oily. Though the quantity is on the less side. Also the fish with hot source on the burner is also very good

Great place to grab an economical meal that is tasty. Portions are good and some favorite dishes are smoked duck that is juicy and tender, lamb in spicy gravy sauce had a nice portion of meat that is spicy and tender. Didn't love any of the dry pots (house special chili dishes) we ordered there, frog or beef. FeiTeng roasted fish was not worth $60.

We came here specifically to try the '水煮鱼片' that is called 'Sole Fish Fillets' in this chinese restaurant. First impression wasn't that great because the fish slices are heavily coated with too much flour; altering the texture and taste of this dish. We'll probably visit this place again to re-validate this dish. Hopefully, next visit will be better since this is one of our favorite fish dishes. Food aside, this restaurant is spacious, and feels clean. Service is friendly and prompt as well.
