Top's China Restaurant
I had a hunch this place would be good when I saw multiple chefs in the kitchen prepping food for lunch. Their Chicken & broccoli used a light curry flavor on the chicken and fried rice had bbq pork in it. Moo Goo Gai Pan has a nice garlic kick. Both of these dishes have a tendency to be bland, or at least mild, at many Chinese restaurants but not at Top’s China!
The food from this place used to be half decent when I first moved to the area, and that's not saying much. We got take out today for dinner and it was absolutely disgusting! Everything was old tasting, like it was prepared days ago. The rice was hard and the egg rolls were probably sitting in that fridge up front for days. Im not hard to please at all, and that's how upset I am that I had to take time out of my day to write this review. This is shameful and disrespectful to be serving the community this nonsense! Do not throw your money away on this!
China Jade
The service is always prompt and polite. The menu has a wide variety of dishes, including several that are vegetarian. Today, I tried the Green Beans Szechuan and they were really good, the portion was massive.
We went this evening for my son’s birthday. The server, Eddy, made it such a special day for my son. We were so grateful to him. The food was excellent, came out fast and was super fresh. Excellent experience and we absolutely LOVED Eddy!!!! Thank you so much for making my 9 year olds birthday so sweet!!!!!
China Restaurant
Surprisingly little rice included and the food was so salty I had to throw it away. Tasted like it was seasoned with soup mix.
This was our first visit. We had a charming meal and the service was very prompt and polite. We ate in. The egg rolls were as advertised… crisp and very flavorful! No need for condiments! The wings were small, but abundant. Perfect crispiness! The meat must be lightly marinated because these were very tasty. Hubby got beef egg foo yung which he described as “different, but good”. He had high praise for the white rice. The rice really makes or breaks a meal and he said they hit it out of the park. I ordered the house flat rice noodles. They said it was a soy sauce based sauce and wow, yes it was! For me it was over sauced. Too salty and way too soy! A fraction of the sauce would have been better, but even so the rest of the ingredients were great. I love the combination of textures. Definitely took it home so I could adjust the sauce to my liking. Everything was hot and well presented. We will come back again to try more dishes.
China King
Came on a Saturday and ordered lunch specials for take out. The food was hot and delicious, the wait time was average for fresh cooked food. Everything was correct with our order. A lot of reviews say they're unfriendly but I didn't have that experience. They were kind, just seemed more introverted. I understand this. I will be coming back
food was great ..younger lady misunderstood my order so I got more rice than I needed lol ..lady the grill very professional ...dressed ....good food fast service tho !!! g>
Little Asia Restaurant
This is the second review of Little Asia I am writing, having written a five star one over 5 yrs. ago. My late wife and I went once a month for years, but it had been a much longer time since I'd been there and decided to go again recently. I can say that very little has changed. Their food is always good and fresh with some dishes outstanding. I have probably tried a dozen or so different dishes and many of their appetizers and soups, always finding them delicious and plentiful. As an ex-New Yorker always eating Chinese food I can say their hot and sour soup and Crab Rangoon are the best I've ever tasted with some interesting takes on both. My personal favorite is the Orange Chicken. As to service, they are a strange restaurant. I usually dine in, but take out appears to be a situation which can take an awfully long time. There are usually warnings when I come in that service will take a long time, but then I get my food right away. Strangely, I am greeted at the door as if I were there for the first time ever with no sign of recognition that I am have been there before when I've probably made 60 visits over the past 5 years. Since I don't eat recognition I still have to give Little Asia 5 stars on the basis of their wonderful food.
Nothing special to look at in the building. Our food was delicious. We ordered orange chicken and sweet and sour shrimp which came out as chicken. The wait was longer than typical it seemed like. My daughter was brought chicken instead of shrimp but we didn’t have time to wait for it to be fixed. The dish was well made so she wasn’t too sad. Even with the wait and the mistake it was so good we will definitely go again.
China House Buffet
One of the best experiences I have had with Chinese Food. They were basically closing and were willing to take me and my family in and they literally made us extra food like General tso chicken and green beans they even brought it to my table I was so pleased and they are literally the nicest people ever very tentative! Please support this amazing gem!
Was about 10 hours in to a road trip and we wanted some Chinese for lunch. Some of the other reviews had me a little sceptical, but China House did not disappoint, and if you're similarly looking for a place to stop, it's a solid pick. Everything was clean, our server quickly refilled drinks and had no problem removing one person from the bill when we said that they didn't have anything to eat (not many options at any China buffet for a vegetarian). Although it's not the largest buffet I've been to, they had pleanty of options with lots of flavor, and were quick to refill pans as they got low, so no one had a problem getting 2 plates of different items. Bonus points for being across the street from Walmart, so our vegetarian was able to get a fruit bowl and we could resupply some snacks just across the street.
Hunan Cafe Warrenton
Thee food is a bit pricey - $80+ for 4 dishes, 2 spring rolls, and crab ragoon, but pretty good. The honey chicken is my favorite. I enjoy the ability to modify the spiciness of many of the meals as well. I have only had food delivered, never ate inside, but it's always quick to arrive.
I had extremely low expectations for Chinese food around Warrenton, as all of the other choices were absolutely horrendous. One evening I decided to try my luck at some Chinese and ordered from Hunan. The staff was extremely friendly and told me about ordering online which is what I will be doing in the future. The food was fantastic. I ordered crispy beef which was actually crispy. Their spring rolls tasted fresh and had the perfect bite of crispiness to them. My wife had the Beef Lo Mein which she said was phenomenal as well. Unfortunately, its the furthest Chinese restaurant from me, but I will happily take the extra five minutes to get quality food over the competition.
