Chen's Garden
I used to frequent this restaurant growing up and decided to grab lunch, delivery, today. Ordered and received the total, $20, and when asked why so high... I was told to call back when I'm ready then hung up on. I TRIED to order the chicken wings and pork fried rice ($9.75) and a small egg drop soup ($3.25) but was told my total was $20. Delivery and taxes was more than half my order. Customer lost!!! Doordash and Uber prices smh.
Here to help this shop's rating because y'all are too critical. It's a takeout place, y'all's standards are too high. The food is fine, fairly priced, and they deliver. What more do you want from a takeout Chinese joint? Here is my honest review though: Living nearby, my family is been ordering from this place for probably at least a decade. They're perfect for evenings when we're all just exhausted or weekends when you just don't want to go out but are running low on groceries from the previous week. So, I feel qualified to rate this establishment... I've had lomein from here, beef teriyaki, general tsos chicken, egg rolls, egg drop soup, wonton soup, and probably more. There hasn't been a dish I've tried that wasn't edible. When delivered, food has never been cold or stale, nor do they take forever. They also don't cost an arm and a leg for delivery (even more reason to tip your delivery person btw, always tip your delivery people). So, for final thoughts, is it like fresh, homemade noodles with locally sourced fresh meat? No, but it's DEFINITELY better than some other places around.
