Tasty Seafood & Dim Sum
Great food and a good atmosphere. This Cantonese restaurant has been around for quite some time, although it seems to have changed names and services every few years. It is more spacious than the last time I visited. The food they serve is still tasty, although the portion is a little small according to the price. The crab is $45 by itself. If you like dim sum and Chinese food, it's worth a try.
Had dim sum on a Saturday morning around 11.30am and there was no line at all. I’m more accustomed to the crazy lines at Fung’s kitchen but wanted to try this place out instead. Pleasantly surprised by the taste of most dim sum items!!! The ma lai gao did not use the right brown sugar so the color was off, but overall we liked it better than Fung’s kitchen. Would rather come back here if taste was the number one priority. Cheong fun was thinner here than at Fung’s. Beef ball and beancurd roll was way better here. Worth a try if you are a frequent Fung’s customer to determine which you like better. They do not do pushcarts here though so that is a minus on the experience. Also, some parts of the restaurant had a weird smell.
Hang's Asian Bistro
So excited first time we had it. Great flavor, light, cooked perfectly. Same for another dinner. Third time it was all grease, burned eggs rolls, etc. Bummed bc we thought we found a new place! Coworker got it for lunch this week- it was great again. No extra oil or burned egg rolls. We decided to try it again after this tonight (weekend). Awful. Heavy, drippy scallion pancakes and egg rolls that were burned. So disappointed! Pics do no justice. I don't think we'll try again as it's too expensive to play Russian roulette with.
Excellent Chinese food! General Tso's is crispy; lo mein is great mix of pasta and veggies; shrimp dumplings were delicious. We tried dine-in figuring it'd be around the same timeframe as ordering pickup but without the dirty dishes. Service was courtesy of the owner's kid, which is understandable, but that meant he was busy on his tablet and barely helped us. Eventually, we asked if we could order, then 40min later got our food. Kids were overtired, grownups were grumpy -- next time, just do pickup and save yourself a lot of time and money (drinks). The owner was kind enough to take over and that helped speed us along. Great food, would definitely do pickup again.
China King Restaurant
I’ve driven this place many many times over the years and finally stopped in for carry-out for lunch on a weekday. The inside looked clean and they actually had a decent amount of business going on. They have the typical American-Chinese menu. I ordered some really basic, American fare – Chicken & Broccoli (spicy), Chicken Lo Mein (spicy), and Egg Drop Soup. Normally when I order Chinese food made “spicy” it’s not very spicy, but the spicy food here was pretty darn hot and packed with flavor too! The soup had a nice flavor to it also, except they forgot my fried noodles to go in it. Overall, the food was made with good, fresh ingredients and the flavors were pretty good, for “American food.” I’d definitely return!
I ordered a small shrimp lo-mein for pickup. When I got home and started eating the food, I saw a BUG in the food. I called them and told them that a bug was in my food and they told me to come back with the food in 10 minutes and they'll make another. When I arrived, I showed them the BUG in the food, in which they proceeded to tell me that I got the bug from outside. Also that the bug is hard and if cooked in their spices, it would be soft. RIDICULOUS!!! I understand mistakes happen and I was willing to take the one they remade, but the fact that they began to blame me AND the remade food hadn't even begun to be prepared, I immediately asked for a refund. The food is also subpar at best and their prices are expensive. They are conveniently located near my home that's why I would occasionally eat there. I will NEVER go back to China King again!
Jin's Garden Chinese Restaurant
Came here with my friend, the food was very good, and the service was quick and fast. The staff there were really nice!
New to the area my wife and I are so glad we found this place it’s amazingly delicious. The service is also great.
China Wok
China Wok is amazing. It is my favorite asian-food restaurant in the Stafford, Fredericksburg, Triangle area. It has the best won ton soup, egg rolls, chicken fried rice, and drunken noodles. their sweet tea is AMAZING--we go here just for that sometimes. The service is quick, reliable, dependable. Our favorite server is Lorenzo; He is super attentive, responsive, polite, and professional. I love the atmosphere--spacious, traditional, and clean. My family and eat here almost every other week. We love it here and hope it never closes! One time my daughter left her invisalign trays wrapped in a napkin on the plate and the staff went out of their way to go through trash to help us find it when we returned. The staff is so helpful, thoughtful, and responsive.
I swear my family and I come here once a week! I would’ve included more pictures but most of us have already eaten! I always get beef lo mein, steamed rice, and a wonton soup! And the SERVICE! We usually get Lorenzo as a server and he is the absolutely best! Every time we come he remembers our orders with every detail. Definitely one of my favorite spots in Stafford I wanted to come back and mention that I also order pick up from here too. And I always appreciate their portions. After eating some place else recently I missed the portions that China Wok offers. In the food I’ve ordered, I always leave stuffed and have enough for a lunch meal the next day. I used to always get the Thai basil fried rice but I’ve been on a lo mein kick that I can’t quit! It’s so good. My mom is such a stickler when it comes to what she eats and she loves this place too! She has tried numerous things on the menu and been pleased. I also think the pricing is comparable to other restaurants in the area. I recommend going when it’s not busy. My family love being there and being able to just enjoy the atmosphere and attentive service. And if you order what I order, especially the Thai basil fried rice (beef or combination) don’t be afraid to ask for a little spice!
Panda Express
I recently ordered uber eats from them because it got too late for me to cook when I got home. I was enjoying my food until I realized that they took a scoop of rice and placed it in the second meat choice section and put a tiny amount of beef and broccoli over it to seem like more. Like cmon man I’m paying for my food for you to do that to me! The whole section should have been my meat choice! If you didn’t have any the least you could have done was add more of the other meat and place a note saying you ran out! Not cheat me with filler rice. So disappointed
Food was good ordered the 3 entree menu shinghi beef grilled teriyaki chicken orange chicken and crab reagoons. I asked for half chow mein half fried rice was told could only do if I get 2 entree and use the other for the chow mein
Rice & Rolls
Love coming for their jalapeño chicken & general tso. Every time we order food from them it’s made to perfection. Good size portion I could have dinner and lunch for the next day.
My favorite Chinese place must have gotten a new cook because the food is disgusting! So I found another place to go and it was delicious. Pros: the food was large portion and font take long to make. The Singapore noodles and jalapeño chicken was so tasty. My new favorite spot. Con's: I really had a taste for hot and sour soup but I like savory. This soup was light and tasted sweet. I need savory for my soups. It wasent nasty just not savory. Dispute that it is my new spot.
Shunxing Chinese Restaurant
I brought Chicken Wings with Pork Fried Rice. There were little tiny chips of pork and to much salt but overall the rice was good. The chicken you should have seen it. It looked like it was fried a few times because the breading was cracking off and you can taste the breading and it was horrible. I also ordered the Boneless Spareribs they were very good. One customer stated in her review that it reminds her of the food from New York. Let me tell you that is an insult to New York & New Jersey Chinese food restaurants because they offer some of the best Chinese food on the East Coast and I’ve had many. Please know that presentation is just as important as taste is and that chicken when I opened the box it was pitiful. See the picture see yourself.
We've been looking for a good Chinese food restaurant since we moved to Stafford in 2018. Finally found one. My husband loves the beef lo mein. Good sized portions. Friendly people.
Panda Express
This location is usually pretty busy. We have been here several times, usually for takeout. Most times they are generous with their serving size, but they are rushing so much they don’t pay attention to what they are scooping. For example, we pay extra for a premium entree (such as pepper steak) and when they scoop the food they don’t look and make sure you are actually getting meat. So we have gotten all vegetables and two small pieces of beef when paying for the premium meat. We did make them aware of this and were given a free meal because of the mistake, so they did handle it appropriately which was appreciated. Our most recent visit they were busy, but the person passing out the to-go orders was very thorough and noticed our large order was missing things. He then went back and opened each item to figure out what exactly was missing and made sure it was all there before we left. It took an extra couple minutes, but saved us a trip back to the store because we wouldn’t have noticed until we got home and started passing out everyone’s meal. I appreciated the attention to detail despite the fact that they were busy at the time.
Zero stars if possible. Through Grubhub, I ordered Beef Broccoli and Honey Walnut Shrimp with Fried rice and Greens. I get 2 scoops of Greens instead of my Beef Broccoli. How hard is it to get an order right? It's literally listed on the sticker what you put in the container. You dont mess with a pregnant lady's order.
Hong Kong
Amazing food, honestly exceeding my expectations. I passed by the little Hong Kong shop on a drive and gave the place a shot. I was greeted by a warm smile and ordered an orange chicken and crab rangoon. The food came out fast, and boy was it delicious. The rangoon was crispy, some of the best I’ve had, and the orange chicken was gone in minutes (by my stomach). Best chinese takeout in this area at an unbeatable price, especially in todays economy. If you’re around, get some food here you won’t regret it!
I frequent this store about once a month since 2013, and I dont know why I still do. In 2023 they stopped giving freebies with orders over a specific amount, like if you order $50+ you get a free crab ragoon. But they are on the way home. I spend about $75 to $100 each visit, sometimes more. About two weeks ago, I placed an App based order for the first time, via their website. I did it using the QR code I saw in a prior visit. . It was a $136, and they are advertising 10% off for first time app users. It did not give me the 10% off online, so when I arrived I mentioned it to the young blonde girl handling the front desk. She looked at my order and said it was added. When I got my order, I asked for a receipt and she told me she couldn't give me one. So I again asked for evidence that I got the $13.60 off, and she then changed her tune and said, I did my order wrong, and there for didn't qualify. What? She said I had to start at the qr code link and then forward to the order, not at the website. Which is what I did. There were people around so I didn't want to embarrass myself for arguing over $13 (or customer good will) so I took the order and left. When I got home we all sat to eat, and one items in the order, Pork Fried Rice had an OFF TASTE, like the oil was bad or burnt. It, combined with the way the girl tried to placate to me, about the discount telling me it was there. Refusing a receipt, and then changing the story, made me decide to call the store and ask for a manager. She answered the phone, and when I asked for a manager she said, why, and I said I had to discuss a complaint, and she said about what, and I said about her, at which point she said, the manager can't talk now, you need to call back tomorrow. WTF. So I went online and found two other Chinese restaurants on route 610 and another on route 17, all just as conve ient, and decided they could use my measly $2400 per year, as this restaurant was not really concerned with keeping customers happy. I thought that was it, until I started receiving notifications and emails via the APP that I was told I did not use correctly asking me if I remembered my recent visit, and they Missed Me... tagging me to place another order. (By the way, no place to add a survey... cause they really don't give a crap about your opinion.) So I am leaving this comment, and will not return.. but more importantly, as people tend to do, whenever any one asks, I will be sure to spread the good word about how much this restaurant does not care.
