Panda Express
The food was good, I have been going to Panda since they opened the first store in Pentagon City in the early 90's. The store opens at 9:30AM sometimes breakfast is not what you want, this was delicious. I got the orange chicken, and my wife got the honey walnut shrimp, we both got chow mein and fried rice. The service person was slow coming over and starting the service but was friendly. The restaurant was clean and not very busy. The food hit the spot, and I will go back again. I did get the spring rolls, and they were good as well. For a chain store, I do think it is good food and consistent with the food they serve, I am a fan of panda express.
I got a plate and they barely put any chow mein on it, and the entree sides were not even full. Chinese places are supposed to have generous portions. Most pandas I go to give so much.
Lin's Grill Teriyaki House
Take heed to the bad reviews. Ordered hibachi chicken, beef in black bean sauce, pork egg foo young, wonton soup, and received a free chicken lo mein. The lo mein did not have a good flavor. The egg foo young was undercooked and mushy. The only thing that tasted okay was the hibachi chicken, but you can tell they trim the chicken and probably keep the good cuts for themselves and give customers the scraps and grizzle. I’ve never had a wonton where the dough just disintegrates. Either wonton wasn’t made correctly or the dough is old. We didn’t try the beef in black bean sauce. After trying the egg foo young, wonton soup, and lo mein we lost our appetite. Spent over $50 and totally disappointed sadly. Also took an hour and a half for food to be delivered. Will not order from Lin’s Grill again. I would recommend China Village or Wu’s Garden which are the only 2 Chinese restaurants that are somewhat decent for the Manassas area we’ve had so far. If you want authentic go to Fairfax or Annandale.
I came here with a Tractor Trailer and it was a tough to maneuver. The Restaurant it self was Clean. The Cashier was friendly and helpful with My decision for Lunch. I got the Teriyaki chicken and Shrimp bowl with noodles. I decided to eat in the restaurant. It was a small dining room. The Food came out quick. I was able to eat within My 30 minute break.
