Cheng Du Chinese restaurant
This is a phenomenal gem of a restaurant located in Richmond, Virginia. From the moment you walk in and you’ll get greeted to the time you sit on the table, is a very pleasant experience. The hostess and the server were extremely polite well mannered. Now comes important part, the food! I’ve lived overseas in China and have been to China many times. Chengdu is one of my favorite places to visit. I was beyond impressed by the quality of the food and the taste of the food in this restaurant. The food was top-notch and was very reminiscent of the food that I had in the Sichuan province. I highly recommend this place and I’ll definitely be back to this restaurant again.
The most authentic Chinese food you can get in Richmond for sure. The staff are very casual but attentive and food is very good and comes out very fast. Definitely going to be a regular customer here! The serving portion are huge! It is a bit warm in there because there isn’t AC but it’s worth it for the delicious food.
Peking Restaurant
Peking Restaurant on West Broad Street in Henrico offers a solid, traditional Chinese dining experience. This isn't a place for fusion cuisine or trendy twists; they stick to the classics, and for the most part, they do them well. Overall: If you're looking for a reliable place to get your Chinese food fix in Henrico, Peking Restaurant is a good option. It's a solid choice for a casual meal with family or friends. Just be aware that it's not going to be a cutting-edge culinary experience, but rather a comforting and familiar one.
Generous portion sizes, delicious food and an expansive menu. Everything you want from a Chinese restaurant at a reasonable price. Great spot, and worth going out of your way to try. We get the general tso chicken and the beef lo mien, which never disappoints. Highly recommend!
Cantonese Kitchen
A solid dimsum experience. The only missing piece is the traveling cart that you usually see at other dimsum places. But that’s not a must. We enjoyed everything that we ordered there. Maybe except for the roasted pork. Our order didn’t come with any skin. I don’t know if that was by design or not.
Very authentic and tasty Chinese food. Probably the best Chinese restaurant in the Richmond area currently. Prices are reasonable for portion size. Cute homey decor. Friendly staff. Highly recommend.
Mings dynasty
Too crunchy and, a brown paper bag? I stopped by this place for a quick order of chicken wings - that’s all I was willing to risk getting because I was unfamiliar with it. Upon entry, the place looked very aged. I was a little bit skeptical initially but then a couple other people came in so I went ahead and placed my order. I got chicken wings, and fries, the fries came in a plastic container like normally a small dish of rice would but my chicken wings came in a greasy brown paper bag. The taste was acceptable, which is why I gave the food three stars. The fries were good. I don’t think I’ll go back again.
We used to get Mings quite often until we found some lady bugs in our food. We called to let them know, but they were quite hostile when we requested some new food. Haven't had in a few years, but today shopping at Food Lion, I thought I'd give them another try. General Tso Shrimp, pork fried rice, and an egg roll. The shrimp was good, but the fried rice had very little ingredients, seemed very over saturated with soy sauce, and the egg roll was cold. It even had rack marks where you could see where it had been sitting for a while before they packaged it. Take out order only took 10 mins. Very friendly when I went to pick up.
Panda Express
My rating is strictly on the food. I ordered the spicy orange chicken bowl with chow mein. Although it was a bit tasty, I couldn't help but notice how small the portions were. You get so little for such a high price. Nevertheless, the chicken was good and the noodles were decent. The egg roll has an interesting texture that I'm not used to but still good. Overall, I think this is an almost decent stop for Chinese food in a rush.
All broccoli no beef… I didn’t get a single piece of beef in my order and most of the broccoli looks like mush. The rice is dry and hard and the orange chicken is any better. The lady working the drive through was about the only good thing at this place. I’m disappointed.
Wok N Roll
Their orange chicken dinner combo is really good. Best part is the price. Nice flavor and portion.
Wok N Roll is a Restaurant I always love visiting. The Staff are always so kind and polite. The food is prepared fresh and hot and always on time. I would recommend anyone in Richmond or the surrounding areas to give them a try. They definitely deserve 5 🌟⭐⭐⭐⭐ !!!!😊
Chinese Chef
Perfect hole in wall Chinese spot, great for takeout. They have some of the best crab Rangoon in the area and the portion is quite large but the sauce is a bit too sweet.
I was in the area and decided to get Chinese food. This restaurant cams up in my Google search of nearby restaurants. I placed my order online. When I walked in the restaurant I immediately wanted to cancel my order and leave. The inside is super small out dated and honestly kind of dirty looking. But I gave them a chance. Glad I did. The food was DELICIOUS!!! I live 30mins from the place and the food was still piping hot when I got home. I ordered beef and broccoli, general tso chicken ,crab Rangoon and Wonton soup. This would definitely be my go to restaurant if I lived closer

The warm and inviting atmosphere, coupled with friendly and attentive staff, sets the stage for a delicious meal. The menu is extensive, featuring fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. Beautifully presented dishes, generous portions, and an drinks. Whether for casual dining or special occasions, City Lights of China is a must-visit for Chinese cuisine lovers.
Ordered because they left it on the door of our apartment. I’ve ordered from other places so I know the general taste of takeout Chinese. When I say this place was mediocre, I mean it had no flavor at all. Like, it tastes of NOTHING. No salt, no spice, no real flavor of anything it was so weird. It wasn’t inherently bad, however the lack of flavor was astonishing to say the least.
Hunan Cafe
Really good, fresh and hot Chinese food. Not fancy, but great lunch!
I came 20 minutes prior to closing time. Since it was empty I should have left. However. I ordered Kung Pao Chicken, Fried Rice & Egg Dop soup... and was given a cake for free. The chicken and rice was quite good. Egg drop soup was GLUE and I have been smearing it on my dog's food! And the free cake?? As you can see.... Thank God I decided to separate the squares after a very small bite of slimey, soft goo. I may give them another try in the daytime but suspect not. I'm a bit gun-shy!
