Peking
It’s hit or miss at this place. I’ve been ordering from them for about five years and Sometimes the food is amazing and other times terrible. The last few times that I have ordered shrimp fried rice, there were maybe five shrimp on top and that’s all. Or the rice is so hard, it tastes like it’s old or something. I used to love the spring rolls and now they taste terrible. I have on several occasions thrown the food away bc I couldn’t eat it, it was so bad.
This place had great food! But the time it takes to order to eat is always insane! If you want Peking Chinese then you need to order way in advance. My family and i have gone to this place multiple times and always have a 45+ min wait. I think the absolute quickest was 30 minutes. This isn't the place to go to when you all of sudden feel like Chinese food last minute. We ordered at home, drove there (15-20 minutes out) and still waited for our food for another 20-25 minutes. I wish I could say because it's Christmas eve, but like i said all times and all different days this seems to be the norm. If you plan early then the food is worth it. Last minute, then it isn't worth it. 2 stars for atmosphere because tables are sticky, they don't bring food to you. It's basically "take-out" with the option to eat in. No refills on drinks. It's all bottled water, canned soda, tea, etc. 3 stars for service because the cashiers are friendly. But like I said no waiters/waitresses or anything like that.
Yu-Mi Sushi
2 adults for dinner with 2 granddaughters. As I watched the dining room, I saw the same scenario playing out at table after table. Food was being sporadically served among the diners. Typically, the adults were being served while the children were left waiting for their food. This was the second time we encountered this happening at this restaurant. We waited and waited for our second granddaughter to finally get her food. It was served 20 mins after all other food had been served. There doesn't seem to be any pattern to how dinner orders are prepared and served to dinner patrons. Children shouldn't be made to wait for their dinner, especially when adults have already received their orders. Additionally, nobody checked back on drink refills. We also noted multiple tables get take home boxes because parts of their dinner orders were served so late after initial parts had been served.
I really wanted to like this spot, but it missed the mark. The food itself was decent, nothing special but not bad either. However, the wait was ridiculous. We were there for two hours, and during that time, only one table left. Everyone else was just sitting there waiting for their food, while the restaurant seemed more focused on pumping out takeout orders than serving the people dining in. To make it worse, the staff was unfriendly, and the atmosphere was cold and uninviting. Definitely not the experience I was hoping for, and I won’t be rushing back anytime soon.
Richie Chan's Chinese Restaurant
Affordable and tasty! I live pretty close but have never been until now and I have been missing out. Service was nice and food was good, the couple who was there were very nice, good kind atmosphere
My girlfriend & I opted to dine via take out from Richie Chan's. She has been eating here since she returned to Cleveland two decades ago & raves about it all the time. We decided to order take out for Valentine's Day & it was fast service with generous & delicious portions. They only take cash but it's very inexpensive for the quality & quantity of food you receive. We got wonton soup, shrimp with vegetables & steamed dumplings & it was enough for two meals each for both of us! We also got organic navel oranges, fortune cookies & almond cookies as a gift (I think this may have been part of the Valentine's Day) The food was so good, we ate it before we could take photos but my girlfriend's fortune cookie says it all...wonderful food for a romantic evening. We will continue to return here. Richie Chan is the main cook & his wife, Wai, helps with food prep & takes all the orders & transactions. They are so nice & friendly it feels like your favorite aunt & uncle just invited you over for dinner. Having lived in PRC, I can attest to the genuine taste of their Cantonese, Hunanese, Mongolian & Mandarin dishes. It is also a true bargain for what you will receive.
Fortune Inn Chinese Restaurant
We ordered take-out on 1/27/25. The food and service were great, and the price was right. I have never had better hot and sour soup in my life. Man, was it good, as was everything else we ordered. We'll definitely be back.
We tried this location and I must say the food is definitely not worth the amount of money spent. We spent around 100.00 dollars to try different things as we are foodies and this by far is not the place for Cantonese cuisine. Heavy on the salt, and the meat was not tender at all. We got Beef and broccoli with 4 seasons and but on chicken the meat was so tough. I think these owners need to retire and be blessed. This is not a place to go! Please don’t waste your time!
China Gate
I have been going to China Gate for years, but this time I had egg shells throughout my Chicken Fried Rice. When I called to report it, the lady on the phone simply said, "oh it comes from the eggs"! I expressed that I understood shells can fall in, but they are obligated to take them out!! She did not offer to replace the dish and when I asked what they normally do when a person's meal is not up to standard? She said, "we don't do anything"! Enough said for me, I told her thank you and I would post my review with photos and never grace the doors of their establishment again.
I've been going to China Gate for Sesame Chicken for decades and I'm always so pleased with it. My favorite place to get it. The lady at the front is always so pleasant and they always get my order right. My experience at China Gate is always great.
Great Wall Chinese Food
It's a mom and pop kind of place, I definitely love how clean they keep their kitchen. They're lovely people and I've been coming for years. If you're looking for good quality fast Chinese food they're the place. They'll customize your order even when you place one online. The best service
Ordered Gen Tso's combo and Orange Chicken combo. No broccoli, no vegetables at all with either chicken. Pork fried rice had no pork, no vegetables except onions. Restaurant looks like it is closing. Too many other Chinese restaurants in the area to go to this one.
