China Wok
Ive been going here since i was a little kid, and let me just say i wont go anywhere else:) ive got to see there family grow and theyve gotten to see me and my family grow as well. we always go for the sesame meal, trust me you wont regret going to china wok!! they are absolutely amazing!
I ordered Kung pao chicken. Never in my life have I had breaded chicken in my Kung pao chicken, Never. Also there could have been more vegetables and peanuts. The flavor could have been a lot better. The atmosphere was bland and plain. No decor what so ever, just plain white walls. Probably won't go back. Panda express is much better.
Oh! Shabu Shabu & BBQ( Hot Pot)
Do NOT come to this restaurant! The quality of all the food is horrendous! The meat is nearly inedible, the hot pot ingredients are stale, the meatballs smell rotten, and many of the dishes were almost empty. The fruit was spoiled, and the service was terrible—we had to wait forever for the meat! Even with such awful service, we were still forced to pay at least an 18% service charge because we were a large group.”
My experience here was fabulous for the first time my wife and daughter have been here twice and they raved about it so this time they brought dad. I did not see some of the complaints that other people had said. The waitress was very fast at getting us all the meats that we wanted and nothing seemed to be bad it was actually really delicious and fresh they had lots of seafood choices very fresh vegetables. And everybody is very kind and very nice. I do recommend trying this place you cannot go wrong.
Rice King Express
We have been eating at this place for a few years, we place orders for delivery, never have had any problems until tonight. We ordered schezuan chicken spicy and orange chicken, we received 2 orange chickens. We called the place and a lady answered and told us we were mistaken as the order was correctly delivered. We offered to give back the second orange chicken, they didn’t want to bring out the correct dish ordered. Woman on the line started arguing and saying we didn’t know what was delivered. Horrible customer service!! Buyer beware!!
Decided to try this place and absolutely regret it! I ordered egg drop soup, szechwan chicken, fried rice, and lo mein. Soup was like water and had a weird flavor not consistent with egg drop. Even kids wouldn't eat it. Szechwan was deep fried breaded in a sickeningly sweet pinkish, orange sauce with no hint of spice (despite being labeled as hot and spicy). I thought they gave me sweet and sour by mistake and called, but was told that no it was correct. I saw someone else had the same experience with the szechwan when they ordered that and orange chicken and had the restaurant argued with them too. Super disappointed in this email that was a waste of money! We couldn't eat half of it. I'll definitely go back to China Chefs, who has far superior food.
Oh Mai South Jordan
We arrived there Monday afternoon around 2 pm, and it was not busy at all. Ordered Pho, and we were served in minutes. The broth was savory and tasted pretty good! Accompanying vegetables and herbs were fresh. I would definitely return to try other dishes when I am back in the area.
We went here for a quick vietnamese foods. The pho was very salty. Vermicelli noodles was undercooked, but the banh mi was good. We were disappointed that the price we paid doesn't match the price on the menu. Its either we are Over charged or they need to update their menu board.
Red 88 Asian Bistro & Sushi
This is my second time eating here and I’m still very pleased with the atmosphere and service. The food is soooo good, each dish has its own distinct flavor. I went once with my mom and this time I went with my parents for Valentine’s Day. The server was very attentive and helpful. We changed to a new booth a few times and he was understanding. The menu has a lot of variety, I loved going in for happy hour! So many good deals! The sushi is superb. This will probably be my go-to spot for many years. I can’t wait to try many of the dishes on the menu. Also I liked watching the cooking videos on the tv lol.
For the first time we passed here, it was a wonderful surprise. The place was according to what we expected. The attention was wonderful. The meal was a heavenly feast and the presentation was extraordinary.
Saffron Valley - South Jordan
I have ordered and had the Indian Railway Omelette a couple times now which happens to be my favorite breakfast or dinner these days. That omelette tastes great! The ladies that work there are very polite and respectful.
I've been missing Saffron Valley ALL MY LIFE. I'm speechless and my tummy is full of their delicious food. I enjoyed their 10-star buffet (a 5 is TOO low of a rating) and the service was wonderful. The manager asked us how the food tasted and the buffet setup reflected so many colorful curries and entrees. Gopher was a server and he had such a big smile and was personable everytimee he interacted with us. The sauces, the spices, everything was perfect! I've always searched for a high quality Indian restaurant locally and I trusted the other five-star reviewers and I'm glad I did. It was phenomenal.
Bawarchi
5/5 Does not do justice!! Deserves better than 4.6. Been to a few Indian cuisine and nothing comes close. Not super spicy but super delicious. I've had hot and extra hot at other places and it became unbelievable to eat or enjoy! I've already highly recommended it to my family and my friends. I highly recommend it! Definitely not a let down. To Bawarchi please open more locations on the Westside and Daybreak area!
Update: I recently visited an Indian restaurant and had a great experience. The meat dishes were incredibly flavorful, and the portions were generous and big. The service was excellent, and the staff was attentive and friendly. A special thanks to the restaurant owner, who quickly addressed a small misunderstanding and ensured we had a wonderful visit. The ambiance could be improved a bit. While the music set a pleasant mood, I think a more attractive interior would enhance the overall experience. Still, the food and service were good. Highly recommend! I had a terrible experience at this restaurant, which we carefully selected after much consideration. I made an online reservation for 7 people to celebrate a birthday in advance. On the day of the celebration, we arrived exactly on time. However, the doors were closed. Just the night before, I received a text asking me to confirm the reservation. Why couldn’t they have called to let us know they weren’t operating at that time, at least apologize, or offer a different time slot? Eventually, the manager came out opening their front door just a little bit. He told us the restaurant was closed and that the kitchen wasn’t working because he had an appointment. I was shocked! It was a Saturday evening, and finding another place for a group of 7 people on short notice wasn’t easy. I showed the reservation to the manager, but he simply said they weren’t open. This was an awful and disappointing experience, and no one even bothered to apologize. I highly recommend thinking twice before going here, as they could ruin your celebration. I would not recommend this place at all!
Panda Express
I wish I had better things to say. My kids really like Panda Express food, but the service here is terrible. The people barely speak to you and the misunderstandings are plentiful. My son ordered Beijing Beef which we had to wait for. When we got the order home, there was nothing but an empty space in the food container and we were charged for black pepper steak (extra $1.50 charge). Feeling very ripped off. In previous visits there have been long waits for food to be made or portions were unreasonably small. I don't know if other locations have better service, but I wouldn't recommend this one.
This location is near my home and we frequent it despite of it meeting expectations half of the time. The restaurant appears clean and the staff is friendly. However, the food portions are small, and if you go close to closing, don’t be surprised if the food is stale.
Panda Express
One of the best experiences I've had at Panda in a longggggg time. It wasn't very busy when I went around 1:30, and I got my food right away. The food tasted just as good as usual, and the location was VERY clean. At one point, one of the workers walked around and offered free sauces and/or extra fortune cookies. Had to snag myself some.
The food is great haters or haters they gonna hate the service is good. I really have the best experience ever.
Red Dragon Chinese Bistro
A rare night out and in my old stomping grounds looking for a place to eat. This place has been open for a very long time and remembered it was pretty good before so we stopped in again. Not too busy for a Friday night. Very friendly service. Clean. I like to judge a Chinese restaurant by the cashew chicken. This did not disappoint! Usually it's a few pieces of chicken and tons of veggies. It was a perfect ratio here. The walnut shrimp was fantastic! Fried rice is only rice, egg, and meat (we got ham). Works for me. I'm not a huge fan of orange chicken but the wife likes it. I actually liked this one. Still not a favorite, but decent here. Lo mein was very good. We were very happy with our visit. The portions were as expected. We had leftovers to take home too. Yes it's not cheap, but what is these days? I thought it was a great balance of food to expense. Will come back if in the area again.
The Red Dragon is a pretty decent Chinese restaurant. The service was prompt and polite, and they were attentive to us throughout our visit - even when it got busy. The food overall was good. The walnut chicken was tasty, but heavy (good if you're sharing, but get something else if you're eating solo). The sweet and sour chicken was great, but also what you would expect. Peking beef was fantastic. Probably my favorite of what we tried. I wasn't a fan of the fried rice, and will opt for regular rice next time. Overall, I enjoyed the atmosphere and will try again when I'm in the neighborhood.
