Bonsai Japanese Steakhouse
This place is always 10/10! The service is always greatšš½ the food is super yummy. We went to a similar place when we lived in Washington and it made us miss Bonsai because it didnāt come close to Bonsaiās taste or flavor. The workers are very nice too. Love it here!
This place is excellent every single time. For a small place in a strip mall, somehow they manage to consistently be the best. The staff is friendly and cool and the chefs do all the fun hibachi tricks. We go several times a year and my kids love it. Itās their preferred spot for their birthday dinners. My wife and I share the Bonsai special for 2.
Sam's Kitchen
ē²½åthe cantonese style sticky rice dumpling is so good. It is huge and has a lot of fillings of a great mixture including egg yolk, chestnut, sausage, peanuts, and pork. The downside is you canāt stop eating the whole one and always ending up being too fullš
Wow 𤯠super amazing Hong Kong Style Barbecue ęøÆå¼ēå³ including roast duck ē铨 and cha siu åē. Their pork intestine č„č ø is also excellent. I ordered a lunch combo I asked for rice and lettuce itās super authentic. Affordable pricing + wonderful service = simply perfect. p.s. they even have braised egg ę»·č šā¤ļø
Cafe Anh Hong
My first impression when walking into this restaurant was that it's dirty. But it's not it's just in need of a facelift or remodeling. If you order the dim sum you're going to get authentic Chinese otherwise it's mostly just American Chinese like in most Chinese restaurants in the United States. My family loves the dim sum chickens feet and many of the other dim sum choices too. The American Chinese food that we had was good too.
Probably The most authentic chinese food you will find in SLC. The place might not look very appealing at first glance but the food is delicious and prices are unbeatable. I would highly recommend it - especially if you are sick and tired of commercialized / americanized Chinese food.
Ichiban sushi & Asian cuisine
We were greeted with a smile and the waiter was super nice. He came and checked on us a couple of time. The tables are really cool and the food was great. Will definitely be coming back to this place again.
I went to dinner with my husband at this place. The environment is cute, fancy, different and has a good vibe. The waitress Maya was great with us, she served us very well, explaining how the all you can eat works. She came to our table several times, always very polite and understanding if she didn't like the taste of some options. They have a menu full of options, however, few we liked. To tell you the truth, we found everything very greasy and seasoned in a way that we didn't like, despite the atmosphere and the great service.
Makanmakan Asian Streat Food Fare
I had such a great experience at this restaurant! The server was incredibly kind and attentiveāsuper friendly and made sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. The chicken skewers were absolutely delicious. And the mango sticky rice? So good! Sweet, fresh, and just the right amount of creamy. Everything from the food to the service made the whole visit really enjoyable. Definitely a place Iād come back to!
WE LOVE THIS PLACE! We even had our wedding dinner here. Weāre here almost once a week and have definitely become regulars because the food is SO GOOD and the family that owns the restaurant is so kind! I have celiac and they are able to do gluten free food for me. For the wedding they hosted a completely gluten free buffet of all our favorite dishes. We highly recommend the Singapore noodles, the laksa, the red curry fish, the Nasi Goreng Jawa, and of course the Makanmakan wings. Even our guests who describe themselves as *not* foodies were amazed by the food.
Zao Asian Cafe
Korean Tacos! So yummy! I really like the pickled onions. And the steak is nice and soft.
Zao Asian CafƩ is an excellent fast casual chain that offers proteins, starches, and veggies in a variety of forms, such as bowls, wraps, soups, etc. It is a good place to go for a quick healthy bite.
HuHot Mongolian Grill
Food was not that great, especially when compared to other Mongolian BBQ places. The grill warriors were not people I would want interacting with the public at my business. Not very friendly, no smiles, and both just seemed a little upset. Also, both men seemed a little unkempt. The service was great. She checked on us a few times, didn't hover, and didn't forget about us even though we were seated in the back back back corner (we actually loved the table). The store was clean, and so were the buffet lines.
Cool concept. Good amount of meat options. but not a ton. It takes A bit to get down the seasoning and sauces. It's not bad for the price of lunch. It's a great deal. I had the yakusuba Noodle and than made a friend rice. It was good. The egg rolls were really crispy and delicious. The service was great. Friendly and attentive. Plenty of parking and some great dessert options. The place also wasn't very crowded for lunch. Which was nice.
Simply Thai
I had an amazing meal here! I ordered the Pla Rad Prik (deep-fried salmon with chili sauce) and the seafood yellow curry stir-fryāboth were outstanding. The salmon was perfectly crispy, and the sauce had just the right balance of heat and flavor. The seafood in the curry was great, and the big scallops were a delightful surprise. For dessert, I had the mango sticky rice, which was fantastic. The touch of young coconut meat added a unique and delicious twist. The service was excellentāfriendly and attentive. They also offer a very affordable lunch combo, making this place a great value. Highly recommend!
Simply Thai has been a lunch staple for businesses in the area for years. Simply Thai is best known for its lunch specials, where you get two entrees, rice, and a spring roll for about $13. These specials will fill you up no matter what you choose. I recommend L5 and L16 (emphasis on L16). I've never been impressed with the service. The employees are nice, but they either forget my order, forget refills, or on my most recent visit, forgot to bring water and plates until both food and appetizers had been delivered and we spent five minutes trying to flag someone down. The restaurant itself is fine, but there's not a big difference in quality if you dine in or do take out. I enjoy the pineapple wings. They're very sweet with zero heat. They won't land for everyone. The curry dumplings tossed in pineapple curry are decent. The curry flavors in any of the curries are good, but the chicken is incredibly dry. A different protein might be better, but the chicken isn't good. Overall, I come here because my coworkers enjoy it and I've found dishes I like, but I enjoy all the other Thai restaurants in the area better.
Everest Curry Kitchen
I have been to this restaurant many times for lunch and dinner. small business owned and so I like to support them. But the food has been going steadily down hill. Had lunch there yesterday ( Buffet). Rice was greasy and had hard kernals - half cooked . Dishes were mushy, way over cooked. Nann had been microwaved - ruins bread. pretty much inedible. Not going back.
I was BLOWN AWAY when I tried this place! Not going to lie I was a bit skeptical at first because it was awfully quiet and a bit awkward inside cause there was no music playing. Once I got the food I was in quite shock, everything tasted spectacular and I definitely plan to come again. This place definitely deserves 5 stars. Also the homemade cheese in the garlic cheese Naan is delicious!
Golden Key Chinese Restaurant
The food is always delicious. The menu is huge. Anything you could want, they have on there. Everyone is super friendly. The prices are very reasonable.
Today we decided to try this restaurant. We were so excited for good Chinese food. However our experience was so incredibly disappointing. The Orange Chicken came dry with the sauce on the side. The chicken was over cooked and so crispy you could barely chew it, even when mixed with the sauce. The fried pork rice was burned and tasted burnt as well. The crab wontons were so hard and chewy that we couldn't even eat them. The chicken Lo' Mein was ok. The egg rolls tasted off, like they would make you ill if you kept eating it. We spent over $80 and ended up throwing most of it away. So disappointing. I had hoped for really great food. I don't think we will ever eat here again.
Sunday's Best
Well this review is really for the Airport location but for whatever reason that location doesn't show up on Google Maps. Good news is that a general Google search will take you to a review that gives details about this location which can be found in concourse B at the Salt Lake City International Airport. Long and short, definitely a great breakfast and off the charts when you compare it to your typical airport breakfast experience in most airports! Check it out if you happen to be passing through!
My sister has been battling aggressive breast cancer, and for months, sheās been dreaming of trying this restaurant. Living out in Vernal, she never had the chance, until now. With her treatments bringing her to Salt Lake City weekly, she had one heartfelt request: to experience their brunch before starting chemo this morning, since we donāt know how it will affect her taste buds. So, we took her. What happened next was beyond anything we could have imagined. When the staff learned of her condition, they didnāt just welcome us, they made her feel truly special. They gave us a beautiful table, and to our complete surprise, they covered the entire meal. The kindness didnāt stop there. The manager, in the middle of the busy rush, took the time to offer genuine words of encouragement and well wishes. Not only was the food incredible and the atmosphere perfect, but the compassion and generosity of the staff turned a difficult day into something unforgettable. My sister felt seen, celebrated, and uplifted in a way weāll never forget. To the entire team: thank you from the bottom of my heart. You made her day, and in turn, ours.
Via 313 Pizza
Date night craving was pizza and salad and this place did not disappoint! The food was absolutely delicious and exactly what we were craving. The service was exceptional! Everyone was very nice and friendly and had good recommendations. The atmosphere was great and we enjoyed being able to relax and enjoy a good meal.
Stopped by because weāve passed it so many times and had the time to stop in today. We both had not been to a pizzeria in a long time and the smell from the parking lot was amazing! Walking in I told my husband thatās how you know itās going to be good! The service from walking in was awesome. The atmosphere is exactly what I would expect out of a āpizza placeā The food was amazing. Will be coming back for sure. The Cesar salad was so good. Fresh lettuce and the parm crisp was so good. I recommend the ambassador bridge(Detroit style). The crust had the great deep dish dough and the awesome crunch on the edges! Ingredients are so fresh, you can tell with every bite. We tried the cinnamon bread sticks! So great, the icing was delicious. We will be back for sure. Being new to Utah it is great to find such a yummy place. This place isnāt just a regular āpizza placeā you wonāt be sorry you stopped trust me.
